Training diary of a Masters sprinter
After 45+ years away, I'm back racing for my club, Croydon Harriers, focusing on 200m & 400m in the V60 Category.
My first big goal is to dip beneath 60 seconds for 400m, and then we'll see where we go from there! This is my training & competition diary taking you through my sprinting life (warts and all).
My next race - BMAF Indoor Champs at Lee Valley 22nd/23rd Feb 2025. 60m, 200m & 400m
My Gear:-
Spikes - ASICS Metaspeed MD (kinder on the calves but still super stiff)
Drone - HoverAir X1 Pro
Action Camera - GoPro Hero 12 Black with a Shorty or Gorilla mount

Race Week Cancelled - With a tight hamstring I took the tough decision not to race the 300m on Sunday. As this was a C race for me, to get used to racing indoors, it wasn't worth the rick of putting myself out for potentially weeks when Feb 2025 is the important indoor events.
