When I hit pan on an eyeshadow in my pan that palette, I run out to tell my bf. And nothing makes me chuckle like him awkwardly saying "congradulations?" But I know when I post people will be excited about it will me.

The thing about eyeshadow is there is not really a time frame of how long it takes. It seems every palette is different, every panner does it at a different pace. The brush you use will effect that. It's always a mystery unless you've panned a bunch of things from that palette.

I know that this doesn’t relate to the under consumption topic here, but a few items that have been your faves I purchased. They’ve become staples. Your videos have help me understand that the clothes that I will wear most are the ones that fit my lifestyle, not what’s the most fun or flashy.

Slouchy trousers + slide shoes = munched pant hems. I call slide shoes “pant munchers.” Every step, the back hem of your pants gets munched between your foot and shoe. Slide shoes can only work with ankle length or shorter. Will die on this hill.

You can't enjoy you wardrobe if you are always in the shopping mode... looking for the next thing. When the fall and winter stuff start showing up in the stores and the prices go through the roof; that is a signal that my shopping mode is winding down for the year. There is nothing wrong with giving your wallet a rest.

We also homeschool! I love seeing how other people approach homeschooling, so I would love a video on that if you're interested. I would also describe myself as a - typically - laidback Type B personality and it has been interesting entering homeschool circles! I find most homeschool parents are opinionated and intense! I'm curious if you find that as well and how you nagivate that?

I read a really great book this year called The Perfectionist’s Guide to Losing Control. The author describes 5 different types of perfectionists (only 1 is the stereotypical type A) and how to use your strengths to your advantage rather than let your flaws hold you back 😊

Thank you so much for this one. I needed to hear the bit about not being behind if you are starting something later than someone else..that you are going through the same learning process, just at a later time or more advanced age. I went to school for music and was told constantly by my clarinet professor that I was behind. Basically that everyone else was better than me. I worked my butt off trying to catch up but what he told me has stuck with me for DECADES. I burned out and quit after getting my degree. I have started playing a few times since then but again, had that same thought process, burned out and quit. I started playing again a few months ago and have been trying to avoid burning out on it because let’s face it. I am not a professional clarinet player and am doing this for myself at this point. I have been trying to release the perfectionism around playing this time around. I really related to everything that you said here!

I love the encouragement to hit pan. I’ve been using the same eye shadow for 10 years, but it’s neutral and I wear eyeshadow about once a week in the summer so I just keep using it.

Tripping over words because you're so tired is so real! I have a 7 month old (my first!) and my brain is scrambled all the time, lol. The way you did your eyes turned out SO GOOD. I would've never thought to do that with an eyeliner; will be trying that soon!

I also took a break from my Groundwork and moved to other cream shadows for the rest of the summer. I can't wait to pick it back up in the fall!
