You know the one thing about west chester is you might think you landed in the deep south west chester is a double edge sword one hand it helped get a lot of slaves up north but it also has a history of racism still does there are very small i mean very small number of minorty people who can by a home in the town the still got the projects ones when we were kids you didnt dare go in and we fought lot i had a lot of black and hispinic friends but we didnt mix out side of school.the block i grew up on from 1979 to 1991 my brother still lives in the house its about a block from the college back in the 80s if you were black you didnt dare come there they just knew better and it was like that for us too the racism has not left that city

You caught Lasalle park at the worst possible time - mid demolition for a massive renovation project. A year or 2 from now, it should be everything you said it should be. Ps, I can’t think of a single chain restaurant in Kenmore, aside from maybe Dairy Queen.

I noticed a photo of Bristol Borough's Mill St where you mentioned other boroughs that have "outgrown their historic centers". Bristol is basically historic thru and thru west of the Bristol Pike so little room to grow. It's the starting point of the Delaware Canal tow trail and along with the Lehigh tow trail one can bike from Bristol to New Hop and all the way to Jim Thorpe. Glad it got a honorable mention

I live in Auburn, right near Skan. Just thought Id give everyone some lore. Literally EVERY small town out here shits on Skan for being a bunch of rich folk. There are plenty of mansions there that make you feel poor just driving through. But in all seriousness l, in high school, I would hear someone in my dugout yell "rich pricks!" and then we'd laugh like we insulted them lol

#7 and your honorable mentions are wrong. There's NOTHING nice, welcoming, or appealing about Long Island. It's crowded, way over priced, the roads and weather are terrible, and beaches are gross. And yes, I'm from Long Island 😑

I grew up in Cornwall, had family in Nyack, spent so much time in Cold Spring, and drove through Owego on the way to Ithaca each year for college. Lovely video!

I’m sorry but for someone who grew up in around the southern tier/mohawk valley area, I can much rather safely safe Coop > Owego and Oswego > Owego. I’ve been in and around Owego plenty of times through traveling to other places and it’s just not too impressive even with its history and the history preserved elsewhere in the state. I know Oswego doesn’t count here, but Oswego has much more to offer the Owego anyday to begin with

I live about 20 minutes from cazenovia! All these small villages are like the big towns to me. Upstare NY is a lot of country land!

I will say as a southern tier person, Owego is known for having a A&W. Cortland has one and that's it around here. Ever go to Binghamton, on the way home gotta stop there for it because you won't get it again for a while endless you live near ithaca. Very interesting to see Penn Yan ok the list though. Penn Yan is a city compared to neighboring areas
