How to Fix BUFFALO's Reputation and Make it an Awesome City
Просмотров 905Год назад
Buffalo gets no respect, and most people in New York and the northeast insult it endlessly. But is it really that bad? This city is definitely underrated, but it still can be improved. Here are my opinions and commentary of how this city can be better to visit and maybe even live in. I'd love to hear your opinions in the comments!
TARRYTOWN + SLEEPY HOLLOW, NY - Historic Hearts of the Rivertowns

Tarrytown is well known as the cultural center of the Rivertowns, the New York villages along the Tappan Zee section of the Hudson River. Just to the north, Sleepy Hollow is famous for its spookiness and its part in Washington Irving's "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". Hopefully, more content on Sleepy Hollow coming soon.

Speedrunning the San Antonio Missions on Christmas Day
NH, New London and Hartford are crime-ridden and impoverished. Stamford and Norwalk feel like a safe #1 and #2
Jim Thorpe is a great place to visit but I sometimes wonder how the people live there it seemed to be totally around tourists and there's nobody but skiers during the winter time plus there's a lot of buildings in a tight little Valley between the mountains and the river with very little places to park
Gloucester is worth the trip.
I've lived in NH for 40 years and I'd like to say there is maybe one area that classifies as a modern city and that's Manchester. Other than that, the rest are at best towns. Berlin......hahahaha......have you ever been there?
I live in Columbia and I love it. Mansfield is also very beautiful.
Missed Beaver County also .
I think Bellefonte is just pronounced Bell-Font, as someone who has gone there a few times before
Owego? Looks like a dump. Ballston Spa is a toilet bowl thats full of heroin addicts and sucks off the city of Saratoga. I cant believe the Village of Lake George doesnt get a peep out of you. If you are not familiar with the village i suggest you read up on it, look at the way the lake cuts through the Adirondacks. Tons of activities, commercial boats on the lake, a bussling strip, tons of resorts up and down the lake. Cool rental cabins, horse back riding, beaches, its all rustic and a throwback to a former time.
I farted in Torrington once in 1994 and it’s lingered ever since. Real story.
I recently moved from New Jersey to Mayfield, Pennsylvania and though it seems ok, definitely affordable for a divorced 54 year old woman, I don’t know much about it. Got any tidbits on it?
Valley Stream New York state parks
Media is a better option than West Chester in my opinion.
Great historical video but you got to remove the godawful music.
You mentioned the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, but it is part of the larger Ohio to Erie Trail, which is really a series of trails between Cincinnati (Ohio River) and Cleveland (Lake Erie). There are a few miles on the road in Amish country (with almost no traffic) but other than that, there are many lovely trails on this great route. It also goes through several small towns as well as the larger cities of Cincinnati, Columbus, Akron, and Cleveland.
I agree with the list, although I take a fisherman's perspective. The only thing that I strongly disagree with is your list that includes all 18 lakes. Waneta and Lamoka would easily be #1 and #2 for me! I could put you on a 5+lb largemouth and a 20+lb muskie tomorrow if you gave me a day on Waneta!
Kitanning. KA*Tan*Ing. Mt. Carmel : Mount CarMel No emphasis on "Mel". BELL Fonte is the correct prounciation.
Skip both. Hit up Bethany, Dewy or Rehoboth Beach.

Have enjoyed riding a few on this list! We love the Genesee Riverway Trail in Rochester NY 😊
Maybe next time ask a few locals. You missed a walk outside the downtowns that make all these cities much better than your ratings. Also what happens in these cities; weekly concerts, ice arenas, pickleball courts, bike trails, hiking trails, waterway access, etc.
Here ya go!
OC MD
Omg cold speing we were living there before coming to trash florida..😢😢i loved living in cold springs!! My baby boy was born in Carmel hospital

Grew up in Middletown i loved it. Its a town not a city though
Well I just braught a house in torrington before this lol should I regret it?
Leb at 13, Claremont at 9, Berlin at 5, no Hanover or Exeter, wtf is dis???
Oniontown.
Cringe...you mispronounced Berlin...accent on the 1st syllable please. Regarding Laconia. three lakes Winnipesaukee, Winnisquam, and man-made Opechee ....and Paugus Bay is part of Winnipesaukee.
#8, parts of Pittsburgh, yes are great, but those towns this gentlemen mentioned are absolutely NO place to visit! They are severely crime ridden and there is nothing to offer anyone especially someone from out of town. Trust me, stay as far away from the places mentioned in #8. Plenty of nice places to go around Pittsburgh just not those ones. This guy clearly never spent anytime in those places. How do I know, Im a cop and I have friends who work or have worked in those communities and I have been to or worked in alteast one of them. So I know!
What does that mean, FEMA disaster resistant sign?
I have lived in many parts of Jersey, HORRIBLE place
*Richard Gere and I are from North Syracuse, and I am sorry we don't have any water to recommend us, however I am proud of NYS roots. FWIW, I consider Upstate to only be above the 42nd latitude!*
Even as a New Jerseyan, I would say Ocean City, Maryland is better. In Ocean City, MD there are more arcades (both on and off the boardwalk, where Ocean City, NJ only has two arcades on the boardwalk, both of which are iffy with maintenance of their machines; third one is coming back after a fire destroyed it in front of the amusement park but that one will probably be mostly redemption machines instead of arcade machines), more amusement parks (Ocean City, NJ had two, one has permanently shut down after summer 2024 and most likely being replaced with condos), much bigger and cleaner water park, more diverse and numerous stores, and more buffets (Ocean City, NJ has no buffets, you either have to go north to Atlantic City, south to Wildwood, or northwest to Egg Harbor Township).
THE BEST BIKE PATH IN POLAND ruclips.net/video/p-CK5ZywGRk/видео.html
Being born and raised in Pennsylvania Bellefont and Kittanning, Huntingdon, you said them wrong. How about nwpa area, Warren, Forest, Venango, Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence and Erie counties. Everything mentioned is in eastern PA and central part of the state, disappointed in this video, besides kittanning. Presque Isle State Park, among others, there are other good boro's in nwpa region as well. 😢
Bridgeport should be last. Bridgeport=THEHOOD
Love to know which segments of the GAP trail you would recommend. We are heading up to spend several days the week of October 20th. Plan to spend time in the Pittsburgh area. Our segment rides will need to be around 30 miles or so. Do you have a top 5 list of segments along the trail? We also love experiencing some of the cool towns along the way.
In the Pittsburgh area? I'd definitely start with Pittsburgh-McKeesport. I also loved the Cumberland-Frostburg portion in Maryland if you're near that. Or Brunswick-Harpers Ferry WV. The Ohiopyle area is in my bucket list, and a lot of people like visiting Fallingwater from there.
You need to visit Fairport near Rochester for a future list!
Connecticut blows
New Haven, The upper Green was a cemetery, and the church on the corner has grave site still in the basement, The lower Green was water at one time and a lot of homes around there have widows walks. There is a lot of history in NH. as Branford
Bridgeport was the Capital yearssss ago.
Brideport has a high durg, and crime rate. However, a lot of the hoods travel to the sbs, like milford, east haven, branford and rob cars and run them to bridgport, some jump on the ferries to LI, NY. Branford even had a Hallmark moving filmed there.
You missed half the cities in ct, what about jewett city?
😎 beautiful
Manchester is a dangerous dump, high in crime, murders and druggies lying on sidewalks. He is nuts. Other towns he ranked high are dumps. I have always lived in New Hampshire and have been to most of the towns he mentioned.
I moved from Huntington Beach Ca. to the middle of nowhere halfway between Corning and Watkins Glen and I love it here.
I lived near watertown ny for 36 years. It's the small towns in NY that make it special if you ask me. I loved Clayton and A-Bay and have been to Lake Placid many times. All 3 are beautiful places in the summer and fall. I have lived in PA for the last 5 years though because NY is just unlivable anymore sadly, but I'd love to visit upstate ny again soon.
Manchester at 2 is crazy.
