Watch me as I take stock, entry level 3d printers, and modify them into unique and well optimized machines! I focus more on upgrades, mods, and instructional videos rather than reviews. Dedicated to budget class printers such as the Creality Ender 3 and Ender 5.
Creality Ender 5 Custom Enclosure and Wiring | Part 1
Well, I blew the board up on my Creality Ender 5. This is the perfect excuse to redesign the electronics enclosure / mounting area. Ive decided that to prepare for having a fully enclosed printer, that I will mount all my electronics on the side of the printer. This video covers my plan for the build along with removal of all the electronics and wiring.

One of the best features of Octoprint is the ability to use a camera for live monitoring capabilities. The EzCCam webcam from Th3d Studios is one of my favorite cameras to use for live monitoring. The magnetic base from Th3d Studios will allow us to use any metal or spring steel style build plate, such as their EzFlex2 or something like the WhamBam plate. You can still use glass on top of this magnetic base if you'd like. The main goal of this is to have the ability to use as many build surfaces as possible for the optimal first layer of your print. Th3D offers plenty of sizes to fit all...

Th3d EzMat2 Build Sheet Review | Creality 3d Printers

The EzMat2 PC build sheet is a polycarbonate based build surface with a 3m adhesive backing to stick it on to your favorite build plate. I stuck my EzMat on to the back of my Th3d Studio Textured EzFlex Plate as seen in the video. The benefits to this build surface is increased print adhesion, and a very nice smooth/matte finish to the first print layer. It works with many types of filament inc...

The Th3d EzFlex Flexplate2 is one of my favorite build plates available for the Creality Ender 3 Pro and the Ender 5 series 3d printers. How to Tune the Slice Mosquito Hotend | Creality Ender 5 or Ender 5 Pro
Просмотров 4 тыс.4 года назад
On the last video, I installed the Slice Mosquito Hotend and its now time to tune and calibrate it for the best results on your Creality Ender 5 or Ender 5 Pro 3d printer. Thankfully, tuning and calibrating is very simple! First, you want to update the firmware (I use the Th3d Unified R2 version of Marlin2.0) to recognize the Slice Engineering High Temp Thermistor. We do this by setting the the...

Can you help me rrr eat place 5 plug
Love your timepiece, very good.
Ty
I've installed octoprint on my laptop with an external camera. In the config of the laptop I've video, but in octoprint its a black part. do i mis something?
That might explain a thing or two. I've been using the same nozzle since purchase. Which has been a year. Any print longer than an hour it pretty much stops extruding, guess it's just clogged up
Very happy to know that you like Mean Well power supply. :) Very nice tutorial video.
Amazing thank you :)
Hm, why would you order them? They look 3D printed. A simple cylinder made out of PETG will do no?
5 min video for 5 sec solution: "Simply preheat your nozzle to 200c, then unscrew it. Install the new nozzle and torque to 1.5nm. I prefer to use the Th3D nozzles, as they are built with high quality standards, yet are inexpensive.."
Does this completely take the place of the screen controls? Or are they still operational as well?
I just changed the nozzle on my Ender 5 Plus. I heated the hot end up to 200 C and supported it with an adjustable wrench and used a 6 mm boxend to loosen the nozzle. The nozzle was so loose I actually didn't have to support the hot end. I think this is because the nozzle is installed at the factory cold. I kept the hot end at 200 C and installed a 0.2mm nozzle to play around with. I just snugged it gently with the 6 mm boxend while supporting the hot end with the other wrench. Again, I probably didn't have to from this experience, but I always will since doing things right and safely is always better than replacing parts due to carelessness!
Don’t buy from 3dfused Save u a headache
Forgot to mention, it's already a moded ender 5, stl for relocation of stepper motor would be nice
What are the advantages to those woven covers on the Bowden tube, and where can they be purchased?
thank you for the quick video! used this for an Ender 5 Plus and I bought a different version of solid bed mounts off Amazon.
Thank you for the info. :) I got some tungsten nozzles now, and am curious on if the 3d printer could take any metal. I also am wanting to see of making ice balls similar to the 316 stainless steel ice balls using some filament that is said to be FDA approved.
I really like those dust caps over the tensioners and motors. Can you share a link to them Please? Regards from the UK.
My hot end started smoking after preheating and removing the silicone sock. Any ideas?
It is installed wrong way in this video! Be aware! The bowden tube should be installed to the opposite end where the lever is and the filament should be inserted from right next to the lever.
damn no part 2 :(
Great video. Thanks! I relate to what you say about the cheap power supply, and I hear what you say about it being from China. But you know that Mean Well is a Chinese company too, right? I've always had good luck with them.
How clean does the hot end have to be before installing?
you just cost me a new fucking heater block
What happened to this printer? cant find it anywhere
If only the STL file hadn't changed. I like the model that you used in the video better
Could you share STL for the mount?
Thank you for making this video. I read multiple articles and was still struggling. Turns out you screw it the opposite direction of everything else.
Nice video! Just in case, you don't have to either swap the cables or the direction of the extruder. Just flip the BMG 180 on the Z so that the tensioner is looking outside and the coupler also faces outside. Hope this helps!
Great Vid
uh... please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but you attached that backwards?
Nice video, man!
Do you have to change the wattage in the firmware?
No. Just run a pid tune on the hotend after
@@bleach_drink_me thank you!
I'm getting a E1 max temp error on my eneder 5. do you think replacing the heater will solve this? I also found a broken molex connector. I need to get all of those parts you used anyway so I was thinking of gettingthe new and installing it anyway.
4:06 Where are the links you said would be in the description???
damn that postal service is slow, still no part 2 :p
Thanks for this video! Sure did help
Is the bmg noisier than the stock?
Haha. Oh boy did my printer screw up. I was printing something and it failed, and by the time I checked it there was filament all over the nozzle. I pulled off as much as I could, but in the end decided to replace the nozzle. I pulled up this video to help me remove the nozzle. I pulled off the silicone cover... and the filament had melted to cover everything inside the printer head. I was using a blue filament and now there is just blue everywhere on and around the nozzle and heater. Any advice? Or should I just get a new printer head
Did it improve print quality ???
Awesome video, just bought one. Thank you 👍
What is the torque valve?
Thanks Dude, you helped me out😉
How do you change the E step value in Marlin with VS code instead of using an EZBoard?
Are these still available anywhere??
I have two Ender 3 v2 and I was never able to put those extruders I have setting the e-steps recommended for the seller and the retraction also recommended for bondtech support pretty frustrated now I have two extruders like that new without use. Anyone interested
Have you tried updating your firmware on the ender 3 v2s, because I have an ender 3 v2 with a bmg extruder and it works fine after I updated the firmware.
I am looking at this now, beginning of 2022. It looks like the STL linked to is slightly different and seems to dip down on the sides, sitting the camera lower which doesn't seem to work so well. I managed to work with it and modify slightly. That aside, great video. I enjoyed watching this and seeing how this all went together.
Hello. I have a new Ender 5 Pro (2 weeks). My first four prints came our nearly perfect. Now, suddenly the printer is under-extruding. The filaments of the adhesion brims are not sticking together, completed prints a brittle and nearly hollow, fills are almost non existent. In your experience is there any reason for this to suddenly happen? I have installed a new nozzle, but have achieved the same poor results. Any suggestions on where to look to trouble shoot? Filament stepper motor perhaps? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You didn’t mention anything about retraction and other things you need to do in your slicer , not easy at all I am still struggling to make this thing work in mi ender. No documentation available on internet.
Sir, if you have not done so already, you MUST do a video about all of the cool printed modifications you have done to your Ender 5. What is that cool handle mounted to the all-metal extruder? Does that help you move filament into the extruder? Where did you get those white corner bracket covers? What are those red corner braces at the bottom of the frame? I noticed there is some sort of red stabilizing brace at the top of the screw that raises and lowers the Z travel of the bed. What is that? What is that hinged device (red and white) on the front? What does that do? Come on, Bro - spill the beans! Meanwhile: I just received my Ender 5 Pro 2 days ago. It's up and running, but one of the first things I want to do is install a runout sensor. Would I need that adaptor to connect it to the stock board (v4.2.2)? I looked at the board and I think I do. Also can you direct me to where I can learn about updating the configuration files? Would you mind me emailing you with some newbie questions? Thanks for posting and sharing. Much appreciated.
I like the roller covers you have on your machine. I can't seem to find plans for them. Do you happen to know where I can find them?
