Nice video. But re transport, I rode the TGM to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said and took the light rail metro all over Tunis. Never had a problem.

Très bien ! Mais il y a le revers de la monnaie. USA, hard working culture, still leads the world (not by chance). Parisians, très criticals, and très touchy (love to complain, hate to listen). Universal healthcare is expensive and the bill comes in high taxes.

Interesting observations! (No offense, but please check your spelling: Provence is spelled with an “e” not “i”). More importantly, I am really surprised you could even find an apartment for 700 euro in an arrondissement around Paris. And, I definitely needed to hear the comment about the restaurants. Never even thought could afford Paris, but planning to rent in Provence -around Toulon area for up to 1500 euros. Will be retired couple. Maybe outside Paris or Lyon should be considered also.

Unoversal healthcare is something you find in most part of Europe. At least in the EU countries.

Just in case you don't know, Paris is NOT the only big city in France. Lyons, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux Montpellier, Strasbourg, Lille have certainly not much to do with the countryside around Limoges where you apparently live. Thanks anyway.

You confuse 'Provence' with 'province', one is a region and the other an administrative area of France.

You were born in the USA, that makes you an American-Frenchman, not the other way around.

Thank you for the video. Interesting. About the negative things: Tunis is much safer than Paris. Stayed there several times in the centre, not a safety issue at all. The only problem are the touts during the day who are after you wanting to scam you out of your money, especially on Sharia Habib Buu Raqiba. Wrong change in supermarkets I never ever experienced. May be a new phenomena? Stolen money: I am sorry, but I would never trust a Muslim drinking alcohol, especially in Tunisia. It means they don't stick to their values. And would you ever take strangers to your home in your home town for staying overnight? Paying cash: For me that is not a disadvantage, but a big advantage. I do not like using cards and lose my overview over my spendings. I really cannot understand people love cards so much.

En tant qu'étranger, vous ne risquiez rien, hormis de vous faire arnaquer financièrement par quelque escroc? mais cela n'est pas exclusif à la Tunisie. Ce qu'il faut savoir c'est qu'en tant que Français ou Américain, vous ne vivrez pas dans le pays comme un Tunisien. Lequel est définitivement "ciblé" littéralement par la police du pays qui le traite comme des moins que rien. Ce qui rend tout citoyen Tunisien potentiellement un victime en attente d'un agent de l'ordre en Tunisie. Evidemment, tous les flics ne sont pas corrompus. Mais la proportion des chantages et rackets qui ont eu lieu ces dernières années plus l'absence de justice dans un véritable Etat de droit, ont fait que le sentiment général dans le pays tourne autour de l'insécurité. En clair, si vos amis vous ont gentiment prévenus sur ce point, ce n'est pas excès de nervosité, mais par bienveillance pour vous éviter un excès de confiance dans un pays qui régresse au niveau des droits. Heureux que vous n'ayez pas eu à en souffrir.

La prochaine fois, je vous recommande d'aller fouiner du coté de MAHDIA, une petite ville côitière en forme de presqu'île à 205 km au sud de Tunis, sur la côte est du pays. Vous y goûteriez à la Méditerranée, à l'Italie et à un parfum de Sahel inédit.
