Ahhh….listen to the way Phil lilts and glides right off the ground into the very air
I doubt any three people have logged more hours playing together than these guys. Moments like this show their professionalism, musicianship, skill, and heart/soul all in one. Anyone who trash talks these guys just doesn’t respect music.
"We will leave this place an empty stone... Or that shining ball of blue we can call our home..."
She's got everything she needs, she's an artist, she don't look back. Takes the dark out of the nighttime, she paints the daytime black. You will start out standing, proud to steal her anything she sees. But you will wind up peeking through a key hole, down upon your bended knees. She never stumbles, she's got no place to fall. She's nobody's child, the law can't touch her at all. She wears an Egyptian ring, that sparkles before she speaks. She's a hypnotist collector, you are a walking antique. Bow down to her on Sunday, salute her when her birthday comes. For Halloween but her a trumpet, and for Christmas, buy her drums. She's got everything she needs, she's an artist, she don't look back. Takes the dark out of the nighttime, you know she paints the daytime black.
💜 🌹
Nice
Memerys😊❤I was thair killer show I was strate no drugs or alcohol the music. Was the drug of my choose. For the show sfter words after the show I would partake and watch the sun rise wasted
The way they look at each other at the end like “did we get it?” They look like their afraid they knock something over if they move
Bobby thought and did own Dylan but quibb this one is 64 pre dead. They fought heard 85 over it, made up here, goosebumps. I love this vhs too short but kreutzman A plus
This is a gem. How am I just seeing this for the first time?!?!
I just listen to it over and over. Such great lyrics
The futures hear rember all we got is each other so let’s learn to all get along Jerry’s wish let make it come true it’s not to late ❤😊
Still sounds as good as it did at the show wait did All that time go this music will live on for ever. And ever ❤😊
Groovin', on a Jerry afternoon. Thank you, for a real good time❤
Interprétation magnifique, merci!
made it a month... They could still do this in 93... So good. Bobby kicks and Jerry Smiles...
Thank you Bob Dylan
Magical.
Only 7 days...Is there a better live vid than this? Think I saw it once, maybe twice. Everything about this video is just, so, perfect. Make America Grateful Again friends
Jerry bows towards Bob Love the energy from the Crowd
Made it three months. Just such an awesome mix. What great sound. Great crowd, great Jerry, just so good...
Chills
✌🏽
done very well, thxs for sharing...
One of those things you wish would never end. Like Dead tour. Love ya big guy.
“She’s got no place to fall.”
Phil just casually dropping some soft, sweet, bass lines.
Jerry thick picked as ever...
Only made it eleven days. "We will leave this place an empty stone Or that shining ball of Blue, we can call our home..."
I forgot what dvd this was on. Somone remind me please
Backstage Pass (1992). Cheers
Two months since my last comment. This is what it was all about...
I love jerry
Best shows ever
I remember the 85 version of this one at Chula Vista literally brought tears to my eyes (Jerry sang all lyrics instead of trading with Bob for those electric versions to the best of my recollection) I was a taper and the sound from that show in particular was just stunning. This is one of my favorite Dylan tunes but in the hands of the GD folks it is on an entirely other plain of transcendence.
Caught it on 11/8/85, first time i cried at a dead show. Tears of pure joy
Well said 🥀👍
other plain of transcendence! thats all that needs to be said.case closed:)
Smiling Jerry for the win.
YEA!
great to see this video. I had it on VHS back then but all those tapes disappeared. This is MAGIC.
Simply BEAUTIFUL❤❤❤
Jerry and Willie Nelson shared an extraordinary ability to improvise around a melody. Shame those two never worked together.
That would be some incredible music ❤❤
Phil Lesh is a wonderful bassist.
He was classically trained to be a composer. I can hear it in his music
That sweet sweet lead bass
Psalms 98:2-3 2 Jehovah has made his salvation known; In the eyes of the nations to be revealed his righteousness. 3 He had remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. ❤️🌈🙏🔥📡🎶🌎☀️ 🌹HIS LOVE ENSURES FOREVER 🌹
Nice imaginative firm bass too!
Where is thus from and ate there more tracks from the session please
Never took and drugs but a longong standing Dead Head. I never seen this before and it will certainly be on my regular playlist DIOLCH 🏴 thanks are there More from the session
The freaking genius of Dylan lyrics enchanted the fellas. Only thang close is hunter lyrics. I've heard Phil sing this like 2 years ago.. honestly I think my favorite live version was Stu Allen I'm DH since 77, as much as I miss those that are gone, I appreciate those still with us. Dead and Co last year at Red Rock. Of course this year last shows in SF. But more than the shows that even DSO lay down, with guests like Bobby, Peter it doesn't matter. It's my tribe, there isn't anything like our DH community on this planet. I'm only DH since 77, and yes I'm a Cornell/Ithica WTF kinda guy for my 2nd GD show. Not sure where I was heading with that lol, so now I'm 67, should Bobby or Phil or DSO or Stu or blah blah blah carry on with GD music.. well I'm in. Hopefully c c.u.all at the Warfield soon for DSO Anything else is a freaking bonus
NOBODY could cover Bob like these boys could. Immaculate!
I wasn't a fan of these guys, but I can see(I'm seventy now) why others were...tanks for sharing
Best!
OK, I'm sure this is somewhere in the comments, but can someone please reiterate where this is from, and if there's more?
this is freaking magic.
i feel so there it's like someone's gonna pass me a bowl
