Hi, I’m Jennifer. I am an award-winning Anxiety Therapist and Specialist, based in England, with over 30+ years of experience helping others create and achieve their goals and live their lives free from anxiety.
It is my mission to prove that no one needs to struggle with anxiety disorders and mental health challenges. Tried to relax listening to this but the intermittant higher volume ads make this difficult. Its quite jolting. Plus a load of them are about finance and money....

Does it really help to do more activities to relieve the anxiety what if one of the activities you like is relaxing I find it more helpful for me anyway to relax and start a new day cause I noticed when I try to do something I feel I make it much worse?
That is a really good question Jasmine, thank you for asking. There is a benefit to both. The reason I mention exercise is because when we go into the fight and flight anxiety response, our bodies are preparing us to run away from danger or fight back. By going for a run, or doing another form of exercise, we are sending the signal to our bodies that we have closed the anxiety loop and we are safe again. This is when our bodies can then transition into the rest and digest response.
