Lake Lonely Pike On Tracker Grizzly

Second week in a row getting a big pike in the boat. Last week dad and This week I got my hands on one. Caught and released at Lake Lonely NY in Saratoga on a square bill lure with no steel leader. The blood on the side was not coming from the gills thankfully but from the bottom jaw. Swam away strong and we will see it next year!

Old video, but 1) thanks, 2)did you have to re-time your rest?
If you’re adjusting a draw length then yes always. If you’re on to the newer models with switch weight or SWX it’s the same process. If you’re only adjusting draw weight in the newer models then no adjustments in timing needed.
Got it, thank you!
Guys let go.. hold on bro let me put on my 15 layers then I’m ready.
Yes
Thanks. This video answered so many questions I was wanting to know. Thanks for all the details
Loctite Blue in the paste IS WAY EASIER TO USE my bro! 🤣
Thanks for the tip!
Lo mejor de lo mejor Benelli me gusta mucho por lo liviana comparadas con otras.
How well does the 15hp push it?
Got about 17MPH. It was only to get on the water when we bought the boat. Quickly upgraded once I found the mud motor I wanted
Excellent video for a mechanically stupid individual like myself. The only thing, which I could be wrong is the bps handle thing you said would face backwards. I believe (at least that is how we have always used the stock ones) are a grab bar of sorts like the pro drive bar but smaller when running the tiller left and right fast trying to get moving in super nasty shallow situations. Granted the newer ones like yours typically don't have much issue getting up and going but on my old 35 I've had to use that a good bit. Then again my boat is a damn barge and underpowered and heavy and it is location dependent. Correct me if I am wrong though, either way thanks for the in depth video brother.
Should use Marine grade wire/cable. Marine grade is tinned to prevent corrosion due to the moisture. That' why strand wire goes bad so often on trailers and boats that don't use marine grade wire.
Coulda shoulda woulda that boat is long gone.
It's a nice boat, but under powered. Definitely needs atleast a 40 hp on it
Well ya. We put a different motor on it but had this on there to get in the water. That boat is long gone though now.
@@Craft518 you should've kept it, was a super nice boat
My twin pack had the plugs right into the harness clip the same way my baby mojo did
😂
Nice...I miss that place so much.. big fish in there
It’s our little hideout. Not many go there with Saratoga sonclise
The rear anchor light is way too short it needs to be above or taller than any person or object that is in the boat. Otherwise, a oncoming boat will not see the anchor light because someone sitting in the chair blocking it, or some other object in the boat, blocking it at night and you will get a run over my friend! And on top of it after the investigation is done if you survive, then you will pay for all damages on their boat because it will be your fault. It would be the same thing as driving around in the dark in the country with no headlights on your fault. Just saying 🤔
Noted.
Cái này có bán viet nam không nhỉ
Can you please give me the measurements of your offsets for your seats. I don't want to cut into them. Thank you Bob
Sorry I don’t have the boat anymore.

You gotta put that transducer on your transom. You don’t know your depth, unless the trolling motor is down?
No you don’t and for this rig I wouldn’t care the depth since it’s running a mud motor. If driven it through 6-8” of water, but that’s long gone. My new boat has transducers on the transom for side scan and on the troller for other needs.
Take it off for duck hunting. Trust me
It was removable. My new boat has one that stays but stows up on the rear and a removable troller so that goes off in the season.
Sir how much 40hp vanguard in your stamate price?
I installed mine but im getting air but no heat. any ideas?
Shoot me an email chuckcraft33@aol.com. Let’s talk.
About to buy this for next fall season in NY, going up north so I'm going to be cold If I don't haha
Had an opportunity to do a 20° sit with the sanctuary and it was really good. I did have crispy wild rock 800 g boots and I did wear toe warmers with them. I don’t wear gloves unless I’m walking out and climbing so I do use hand warmers in the pockets. It was great.
How do you know when it reaches full draw? Good videos
And a large majority of those that are dual cam each camel have a draw stop. It hits the cable when it comes to full draw for your draw length. Single cam or no cam models are a little different.
Where do you get these remote kits?
12volt monster website
Horrible motor for bass boats due to the pain on stowing it with no handle to pull it up
That motor is long gone. Moved to a terrova on our new boat which is equally difficult with no handle but I can’t complain. It gets the job done
Need some performancevtwins roller rockers and billeted push rods with worked heads
Someone else does now. I upgraded to a prodigy boat with the Mudbuddy 5000. Much better
@@Craft518 lol yeah that has roller rockers. I wish my prodrive was faster but honestly the fpr can’t be matched by gtr or mud buddy for reverse in the slop
Agreed the increased HP and power was great. Pro drive is a great option.
I just ordered my set with wind stopper! Super excited
Hell ya. I’ve been using mine this year already
What the hell is wrong, I am watching some guy in his underwear talking to me from his livingroom ?!?!
No, it’s my basement. But I bet you watched the whole damn thing.
@@Craft518 Darn Right!!, I hunt up north too, and this video was awesome! . Hey I did't say it was bad, I just looked at myself watching a guy in his underwear as definitely funny.
Well, if you watched one, you might watch another so don’t make it a habit. I’m glad it helped.
@@Craft518 It did, I wish you could do one for socks and boots.
Thanks. One thing I appreciate is you telling your height and weight and exactly what size you wear on top and bottom. Very helpful for ordering online!!
No problem. Still using these pieces and they are great.
I have a 2019 1542, when you cut to make those 2 hatches in the back by the transom. Was it foam filled?
Yes it was. Obviously it will effect the floatation if you swamp the boat so at your own risk.
That is a fancy $3,000 outfit 😂😂😂
So how well did they work.
I’m impressed with it all but I went with crispi boots and rarely have a point to wear the lacrosse high boots. It’s true the light weather stuff is too light late in the season so you have to have another set for extreme cold. If I’m honest…my Sitka gear is way better and I would do that if I had to again.
Sactuary is not wind proof is it?
I live in upstate NY as well and tired of getting cold.iI bought the sactuary set for this year along with some base layers.Mistake?
Depends on where you hunt but it could’ve been a mistake. Sitka gear has wind stopper technology that’s great for duckhunting. I think I might sell my Firstlite outer layers and get Sitka outer layers. I love the base layers from both companies. In the long run it does what it supposed to but if you want wind and water protection from Firstlite you’ll have to get that new set that just came out.
Was awesome video I'm about to purchase this same boat for sure
I’m curious, do you hunt flooded timber? I got a marsh Hudson jacket two seasons ago that’s great but I can’t help but feel that the timber is more versatile? I hunt the Chesapeake bay salt flats and have started hunting some swamps and I’m curious to know how that pattern works for you all up in NY. Great video!
I will tell you this we often hunt of shore and in the timber. Wouldn’t call it flooded Timber but absolutely standing in water amongst trees and cattails. I love it because everything here is dark. Lay down blinds close up so it’s inconsequential why color you were IMO. I am thinking about getting a Marsh layer like a Traverse pant and wader jacket for panel hunting in the fields that I’ve been doing recently.
I bought the same switch panel. Since they are all desperately fused already. My question comes from the battery on off kill switch and exactly how that is wired. Could you explain? Thanks!
There’s a diagram in there somewhere. Essentially, it’s battery ground to cutoff, cutoff to grounding block for all devices, grounding block to switch panel where all the hots go to each device. This also means the motor too. That goes to the ground cutoff.
@@Craft518 so it is essentially doing the same thing as a battery on/off switch. Just using the ground instead of the positive?
Depends on who you ask. Stock cars are negative side, NHRA say positive, some boat manufacturers do it different. I prefer negative.
would this cab work with a rear 260 backhoe (the kind where the seat swivels around)?
Not likely
How well do the waders paired up with the gradient bibs keep you warm late season?
Liked both options for under layer and honestly couldn’t tell a difference at 30°. Once it dropped below that you could tell the permaloft bibs did have an extra warmth and glad I had the option for super cold weather.
Is this the first sanctuary? I assume it’s not the 2.0. I think 2.0 came out 2021 if I’m not mistaken
Not sure but I suppose the could be since think I got these when they first came out.
What size waders did you get
Went with the large and size 11 boot. I can fit the duck over under it with a bit of tightness in the chest but not enough to be uncomfortable. It’s actually perfect. I also opted to get her Hudson jacket as well for all year use and the duck oven is just an everyday jacket bow
The Front Small Plates you drilled out the rivets. What did you use to re-attach them? Great video by the way
We used a bigger stainless screw and just ran it for a bit. Ended up getting rivnuts which worked way better
I have that exact same boat. How did you put your black access doors in casting deck with the big cross braces that are underneath? Did you chop them?
I have another video on my channel where I do talk about cutting those supports out. Are used a grinder with a cut off wheel for most of it and a saws all for that section. I’m pretty sure I drilled for holes in the corners to make it clean as well
Greetings...thanks for your video. Now then, at 12:36 the explanation about the terminal blocks where the battery is connected to one and the battery is connected to the other and your comment about the colors ("red in the back and black in the back") is difficult for me to understand. Also, are those blocks somehow connected to each other with some metal conductive plate to power the motor or what??
There are two separate blocks in the rear of the boat. One of them is a hot wire one of them is the ground wire. They were made that way so we could remove the motor and replace it and easily remove the cables right there
So yes each black box on the transom brace is connected. One is all power one is all ground
@@Craft518 Okay thanks.
Great job! I just ordered a 1754 with a 20 HP Merc and a 45 lb. trolling motor yesterday, my first boat. I asked the BPS people if I could add a third seat like you guys did, they told me it would void the warranty. If true I assume any other cutting you did would. Did you guys check on that? The wiring part of your video ws VERY helpful, answered all the questions I had. Thanks!
It probably voids warranty yes. Didn’t check and honestly we weren’t worried. That boat is still in working order and smashing ducks with its new owner.
Awesome….thanks for the vid
Welcome
what size duck oven and gradient hoody do you wear?
I got large in both. Done again I would go XL on the DU
Thank you for this review. I don't usually ask guys this but... Can you tell me what your waist size is? Lol. Thanks in advance.
Oh Rick BEHAVE!!! Hahaha. 34” waist. About 5’10” and 170#
@@Craft518 Lol thanks brother.
Know this is a long shot. But I’m swapping the stock carb for a 35 that doesn’t come with electrical connection for the solenoid…is it needed?
I’m not sure if it is needed or not for you application. Sorry man I wish I could help but I am now into EFI Mudbuddy 5000 so no more carb work for me.
Curious as to why the 2 insulation pieces? (gradient and DO) kinda defeats the purpose of the 2..
I don’t use them at the same time. It’s just to show all the options. I use the DO as a daily jacket and really don’t use it to hunt. I have the Hudson for late season and is the wafer jacket early season
Good video. Trying to find a trx8. What’s your “year later” review of the trx8?
Still have it and I still love it. Just started indoor the other day. Did swap over to a black dot and ditched the lighted pin but other than that same setup with green twisted X strings now.
We need more content and how’s the first lite stuff holding up
Going to do a few videos about the new prodigy boat first year, Sitka and Firstlite gear “what worked what didn’t”.
Did you have to do any modifications to get that motor to fit with the support brace in the back?
Good question. The motor will come with an 1/2” aluminum plate that the motor screws press against. I had to cut the center of that out and use the two pieces like washers. Ultimately no modification to the motor or boat short of drilling two holes for the standard motor bolts to go through the transom.
