Portable kit side project: Part one
For the last couple of years when I go to my sons gymnastics practice or when I am going to a music festival I bring along my little tote with all of my tools. The tote has seen better days and lots of wear. I have had the thought of making a portable little kit to carry my tools and small projects. I found this little box, that I am assuming was for slide carousels...maybe, but now it's going to be my portable little tool chest. I still have to get back to the Piano cabinet and back to a few instrument builds that will be done by January when I will be working on the Sitka Viola! But my ADHD said this was pressing... and even if that is false...I listened.

      I had them as well, but it was already in pieces on the curb when I got my hands on it. They dragged it across the sidewalk on its side... They side it didn't work anymore. I did find some broken hammers inside when taking it apart. But I honestly think after getting it all apart that they could have fixed it if they wanted to...maybe it was a budget or space issue for a small Montessori school..I don't know. I am just glad not to see it go in a landfill.

    Hi, I was wondering what strings you thought would do well in the marine environment, not just because of the salt in the air potentially damaging them but also maintaining stable tuning (as much as you can with new strings) due to humidity and temperature changes?

    • @JDanielGraham
      @JDanielGraham 4 месяца назад

      There are two sets that I would use. Nothing will be damage proof from the environment I imagine but these last longer on the hand and over time than others I have used. I am one of those people that try and get the most life out of any strings I can. I would recommend Vision Strings or Helicore Strings. They are lower cost and last well.
