How do you feel NIO's tech and overall software experience is compared to Xpeng and BYD? About the same? It's hard to find good modern comparisons today so any insight would be cool to know. Appreciate your detailed videos on NIO btw! Right now in US at least, tesla is supreme in that regard and noone else comes close. Waiting for the day these Chinese EVs come to North America so i can see em myself!

Interesting video. In Europe we can only dream about such services... our NIO app is very basic. The cleaning guy is quite skillfull, it's not very convenient to wash a car parked in between others. Both neighboring cars got a little free wash as well ;-)

Great video, and an amazing insight into what NIO has built including the phone app functionality and voice recognition in the car. Great to remove stereotype of somehow Chinese cars being cheap knock offs.

Now if they can solve the expense problem of replacing a battery that goes bad in 10 years making it possible for them to last 20 years like most combustion engine cars then and only then would I consider one. Vehicles are so expensive now I expect a 20 year or more life span. I got more than 20 years from my $29k 2003 GMC Sierra and Toyota Camry so I expect that and more for the price we have to pay now days.

Nice video and good English - I could understand you even without subtitles most of the time. Although we use some other words sometimes Using Sport mode so having both motors powered all the time certainly increased your power consumption and I would not recommend it especially when driving on highway

This is soo impressive. I always wasn't a fan of the whole auto pilot thing that Tesla was really pushing for and found it really gimmiki. The range this has is beyond impressive.

But everyone will want the 150kwh battery for Thanksgiving, Christmas and mother's day when most families drive to the relatives to celebrate the holidays - and there won't be enough 150kwh batteries- or worst you get there, and need to swap in a fully charged battery for the trip home and all the 150kwh batteries are checked out.

Nearly 550 miles for a full battery...that's amazing! My 2015 Tesla Model S 85 will do a maximum of 220 miles in ideal summer conditions and 200 miles in winter so this is an impressive performance. What an amazing review. I watched the whole video and learned a lot but not only about the 150kw battery but the whole experience of driving in highways in China and the services or facilities you can expect. For the first time ever, I though if moving to live and do business in China. Amazing country, amazing people, amazing culture, and amazing technology.

1000km out of a 150kWh battery is not impressive already...not at all, if you drove at 150km/h it is..

A single charger uses 640kW and there are two. Also I assume the separated batteries are being charged. That is a considerable demand on the local power grid. There needs to be a big transformer nearby.

You said it yourself: You had to stop several times not because the car needed it, but you needed it. So what is the point of such a big battery when the car could just have charged while you had your rest stop activities?

Nio car will dominate for sure. On the other hand, US have been surpressing their technology and not playing fair wanting their US EV car to be part of the world just to protect their EV interest to go globally. Either way both will be at their top chain no matter how much tariff they putting on the table. Its all political play but I'm sure NIO have lots of government support as well. US might be thinking they are targeting US market as their main chain but in fact they are not. It is other part of the world. Give it another 5-10 years, Nio will definitely take time before NIO rise above all. Its called real 'Domination' unlike TESLA focus on capturing market first but forgotten the essential of efficiency of need to use car urgently anywhere, anytime which is why BAAS is added into equation. If only TESLA have BAAS, then no matter how shitty it is, it will still be the best. Because they got everything covered

Man I find it mind boggling that Nio managed such a battery breakthrough. Specially knowing that other companies with deep pockets and all the "know how" they can get still didnt come close to 1000 km, is just absolutly incredible

That was a really seamless process, thanks for sharing. There wee a couple of moments when you held the wheel as the car was moving a bit quicker with a vehicle in front of it and later with the truck. While things are getting better, I would be doing the same as well as I would likely be driving at a lower speed than the car would however, it seems from the driver's display, it identified people walking and the trunk later and had already planned its route. It slowed seemingly for the guy but, continued as he was a bit slow to move. I was a little worried about how it pulled out on to the service road before the highway, I guess the car had already confirmed nothing was coming and just headed out. This is a really great showing of how well NIO's system works.

Really nice and informative video. I work at the medical sterilisation unit in a hospital, so I am far from rich. I hope Nio one day builds a smaller solid state ev that is affordable enough for people like me. With nomi offcourse (it is good to nurture your inner child a bit 😉)
