I clicked the link to the original video. It's over 4 years old. Everything has changed. Nuclear treaties have been torn up. The US, China and Russia are pouring money into making bigger/better nukes. Russia has joined the US in adopting a first-strike nuclear doctrine.

Most of the public lives in a bubble and is unaware.

This is scary stuff...nuclear war is some of the worst kind of stuff that humans have come up with to even think about...so I applaud you for reacting to the topic. There were a few notes I thought of as I watched through this... There are no models in the video except 3D computer animated ones. Also, the various data that he uses to determine how far away the effects of the heat/blast/radiation are taken from a website called NukeMap, which uses the data from all the nuclear tests that have been made public...so his numbers are pretty darned accurate. Also, the US has lost 6 bombs that were never found, and there was an incident when the Israelis supposedly stole about 93kg of highly enriched uranium, but there are no incidents of nuclear weapons being stolen from the US. As for the USSR/Russia, they have never really divulged whether they "lost" any weapons, so we don't really know about that, but there is really no reason to believe that there are a bunch of missing nukes that are what....in civilian hands? I am really not sure what you were talking about there at the end, and I have studied the issue, so you really should not be all that worried about "stolen nukes."

In Finland, out of five million inhabitants, four million have a bomb shelter, and some imagine that one million will be bombed.I myself live 25 km from the future NATO Finnish headquarters in a small town and still a nuclear attack on the town because of a few dozen officer would be absurd, and targeting my house with conventional bombs or artillery equally random.
