This was done live on stage, and then the animation was made later. You can react to the live version as well, if you wish. His use of the microphone here to tell the story from two different sides, by using a different distance from himself and the mic, is quite masterful, imho.
Almost any comedian that tells stories or does observational humor can and has been animated over. Bill Burr, Theo Von, The Ricky Gervais Show, etc. all have great animated shorts or shows based on their work.
I agree with Bill on this one, the guy is a hero in my book. But, I also agree with Weronica, that pilot will be traumatized. The investigation alone will be hard. But the guilt will be traumatic. He will definitely need therapy. Another great reaction. Still hoping you find a solution to the audio though. But I'll keep coming back even if you don't, your insight and questions are compelling enough for me to overlook it.
7:00 I grew up surfing in Orange County, California, the beach and coast line is very crowded and busy. So, a lot of people would have witnessed the jump.
It's a shame most reactors choose the animated version. The animation isn't very good and it distracts you from how well crafted this bit really is. The way he tells the perspectives of both the pilot and the jumper, plus the sound effects, is incredible. If you search for Bill Burr Helicopter Story, it's the second link, but people choose the stupid cartoon and really miss out on what he did here.
yeah he has a narrative type of comedy, and this animation came out after I believe.
me too, i don't think he arranged the animation. also he is fascinated by stories like that, him being a helicopter pilot might helped aswell.

Bill Burrs version is far more animated with his stage performance. The standup came way before someone animated this.
He probably survived due to the Coast Guard, they have a large presence along the coastline of Southern California (which includes Orange County).
100% true 😮
This story was so incredible that when I first heard it I had to look it up. It happened just the way he told it. Pretty incredible story.
Watch the standup and you'll see what he did on stage to get that sound. It has nothing to do with animation.

I don't know if Bill Burr was involved with this animation but, he does have an animated show on Netflix called "F is for Family".
🤘🤘
Burr had an animated TV show called "F is for Family" a few years ago.

What are you wondering about? The stand up was made into an animation later, by a fan. Obviously.
Another funny true story is Fancy dress funeral by Russel Howard I'd love to see you react to it.
It was part of his stand up live .Watch the stand up the antics are better too
Bill can fly helicopters
worth watching the live version IMO..even if its not on camera haha
We will :D
Great story. I would just buy or steal a bottle of sleeping pills and some beer and find a nice spot to end it.
I have "made" all my friends and family watch this. Mom has yet to call me back.... jk
Why didn’t you watch his actual performance?
