This entire special is a work of art. He is on fire for the entire set. It's well worth watching the whole thing because he drags earlier things into his jokes later, a lot of it is totally of the cuff. A master at the absolute peak of his powers.

Yeah, has to be one of my favourite stand up performances. The trust and respect for the audiences intelligence is so brave for a comedian which makes the payoff so much better!

This whole show (Dress to kill) is a special one for me and my father.
We watched it on TV once in a cottage in the North of Sweden about 20 years ago, in the cold winter.
We were a bit drunk a we laughed our asses off. Definetely a bonding moment. I heavily recommend the whole damn thing. It might be Eddie’s finest moment.
You two are lovely. Thanks for this! 💙🥂

Definitely more Eddie Izzard. One of my favourite comedians. Very surreal, and you get used to the style. I think a lot of English people learn rudimentary French in school and thus understand a lot of what Eddie is saying. With my one year of French, I understood most of it.
If I'm not mistaken Eddie doesn't really care that much about which pronouns you use about her/him, and I think a lot of people find it hard to make the switch because he has previously stated that he was "an action transvestite" in his shows (as he does here but in French), and often clarified that that did not mean that he was gay, it just meant he liked to present as a woman sometimes. But, I guess times and cultures change, and now when it is more accepted to be transgender, she has said that she prefers female pronouns.

Whoever recommended this clip to you should have given you context. Much of the jokes are callbacks to earlier in the show such as black coffee, the president of Burundi and Action Transvestites! That’s why when he says these things in French, you know what he is saying (even if you don’t speak French) as it was already said in English earlier in the show. That’s what makes her such a brilliant comedian as I’ve never seen anybody use humour in this way and very brave for a comedian to trust the audience will understand as most comedians would understandably take the safer route in their storytelling.

Weronika you are very much like me, skeptical and critical but willing to change your mind. Many people don't that. You're very lucky that Waldemar is so patient and understanding and that rather than argue with you he talks with you and listens.

Honestly one of the most impressive people alive today, did stand up in 5 non-native languages.
In 2009, ran 43 marathons in 51 days for Sport Relief charity. In 2016, ran 27 marathons in 27 days in South Africa for Mandela's 27 years in prison.
Even some anti-trans people I'm aware of are utterly impressed by Suzy/Eddie.

Some of the jokes he is telling in French are retelling of jokes he did in English earlier in the same show, but as you haven't watch it you're not understanding a few more things.

At this time of Eddie's life, Eddie was a transvestite, a man who dress up like a woman.

@@necessaryevil3428 too much conjugation like ; the word is conjugated with the determinant(la/le) but also the following verb, the tense it's used (past, present, future) and many more horseshit.
