Lol. So true, I guess we are under the assumption that the conjunction junction train is being pulled by a steam engine as kids love to see the steam/smoke. I can say I tried my best to replicate the speed of this train to be in rhythm with the jingle.

@@blakrootz I avoid Google when I can, but use your favorite search engine to look up “dead rail society”. It’s a good starting point. And there have been improvements since I converted mine. I like that you didn’t listen to those that say HO isn’t suitable for outdoor layouts. You showed them didn’t you!

No, they are only designed to show destinations. Surprisingly, the process was extremely easy. Sound effects will require some other technology.

The entire station and platform is made of wood. On top of the platform is peel and stick adhesive floor tile. Home Depot has plenty of free samples for you to choose, which you may like. I had to choose between two and found one fairly similar to that of the flooring at Embarcadero BART Station. I eventually bought a pack and then cut it to size with a band saw. If you don't have that, you can use scissors, but it will be a bit difficult. Please keep me posted on your progress and be sure to see video one of this project of how I began.
