What type of fanbase celebrates this and expects a non-toxic relationship? Gamers are literally the worst fanbase. It's not because they don't kiss a**, it's because they stay in relationships they claim to hate....Extremely toxic.

Man i wanted that update to go live next season. Give everyone a massive exp boost and drop rate and everyone start on the same foot.

Veteran player from div1 alpha here. And div2. The franchise is dead, move on. Im not going to buy div3 and see the same shit play out. Ubisheit stays ubisheit and massive is a massive dissapointment

You're missing out on one of the great advantages that would have come about with seasonal characters. Currently new players are really unable to play with the more experienced characters because of the difference in power. By setting everyone back to level one for the season, you allow greater cooperation between older and newer players. It allows all players, new and experienced, to play together.

That’s what I heard about what was coming …a legendary maps setting when the update were announced on that big reveal and a whole video with top developers was released… the expertise system was supposed to be followed by a legendary map difficulty. All they needed. I was so dissapointed when it wasnt included!

If it was optional I could see it, but it doesn't make lore or game sense. So glad they aren't going through with it.

Anything would have been better than the seasonal characters. I would love to have new missions, even if they were legendary missions, or new locations for this season's Manhunt instead of the same ones. I think they have seasonal characters in Diable 4 or something, but what may work in one game, doesn't mean it will work in another- particularly one that's been out for 5-6 years now. It would have been better to have it as an optional mode in a brand new game than where a lot of players have played for many hours on a character or two.

Like one comment wrote throw us a bone atleast, a dlc of something, and ive never got why they cant see that a battle royal type of dlc would be great. I know we already have conflict, but a larger map with maybe 6 players verse 6, hold the flag, capture destroy etc, or for pve have a dlc with game modes, covert missions, defense missions, seek out destroy mission, kinda like bounties. Idk just something. This game is to good just to trash it. But its on very thin ice.

The only game i have seen seasons "WORK WELL" on is diablo 3 you know the game by heart/can play it in your sleep. But the seasons give every player in seasonal a clean slate/ even ground if you will. But diablo 3 has paragon point that up stats to make you over powered. But the wipe slate clean mechanic in an FPS that you have to grind gear for? No just no, look at DESTINY2; only recently did they say all of the sunset weapons are no longer sunset. But they did not bring back any ways to get said weapons..

If I want to start wit level 1 I can simply start a new character. If people love grind and leveling … well, don’t boost. Big fuzz for nothing. Seasons are a minor part of the game and season are crap since the very first one: - leagues: rushing through the old missions - global events: technical effects only, zero new playable mission/activity - manhunts: playing the old control points, bounties … and since year 4 reduced (invaded) missions for the final battles, some with some changes but battles I don’t want to play a second time Seasons are completely crap, seasonal characters make it even worse. Why should I be excited playing the old stuff we repeated already million times but starting with level 1? Perhaps someone with 1 cell in his brain. Where Division shines is the open world map and the visuals of the missions. I can’t get in my head why the hell they put all the ressources in season crap and other repetition incentives since WoNY. Their focus is how we can incentivize the player continuing playing the same old stuff to avoid working on missions, interesting open world activities …? Oh, let’s make Expertise, more gear, guns, exotics and apparel and let’s continue with the season repetition orgy till the doctor comes. All my friends left the game already before release of year 4, no one came back and most of the new friends left as well despite year 4/5/6 roadmap. Why: everyone didn’t care about seasons, Countdown, Descent and incursion but missions, open work an new areas to explore.

99% of the Forbes readers couldn't give a rats arse about gaming. They do 110% give YOUR rats arse about investing. The fact that this article din't mention once what affect this change has on the Ubisoft shareholders is alarming. Now I don't know what % of dividends is derived from The Division franchises but the stock took a gigantic drop today. if I were a major shareholder in Ubisoft I'd be making sure some directors are dusting off their resumes.

you see it again that the priority is light for ubisoft. but what they put out for the newsletter there is a lot more going on with Ubisoft. They are in bad shape because if you look at the stock market you see that Ubisoft is now making a loss year after year. and you will see they make the choices that Ubisoft focuses on Assassin's Creed Shadows / Star Wars Outlaws because they no longer have enough money. division 3 is 100% not going to happen.

I havent played D2 in years, but i was gonna come back for seasonal characters. Seems like it would've been a great way to build up the playerbase with new/returning players. Seasons in D2 sucked anyway. I'm surprised no current players wanted to try something new after so long.

They didn't do what the fan's wanted , no they didn't listen to us as such, they knew they could not do it without making bigger bugs than normal, so they preferred not to run with it😮😮

Legendary Global difficulty should be introduced into the game already. The seasonal characters should have had been a optional choice with more rewards and making worth doing so, instead they choose to do it this way.

I totally agree with an option to play tiered levels like legendary in a mission setting or open world... It will definitely pull players back to the game for the challenge alone. If only the dev's could read...🤣

Yes a all out legendary map with all missions becoming legendary would have been all right with me. However. I don't think it would be that easy for this Skelton crew development team to do. They would need to serious optimize it not just for team players, but especially for solo players. Hell, new side missions and or classified missions would have been something to. These guys can't even roll out a new season without breaking something, or introducing new bugs to the game. I dread to think what they could have fuck the game up even more, if they introduced these seasonal characters

I agree with you 100%, i think that all the players who deleted their characters because people said (Do This Now!) are probably more upset at this point since seasonal characters are are not being introduced, just going to say to them stop listening to them some creators are super fans and get everything free for leading the blind and haven't seen (Do This Now!) apology video yet!!

Things they had to do to keep our interest: - bring all of the DZ only exotics over to the open world PVE on Heroics - create an algorithm to curates what we get so we don't get repeats - eliminate the need for the original achievements to open access to things like hidden vendors and recipes to make baseline weapons that everyone should have access to because NEW YORK boosted everyone past these achievements and locked us out from them - create a new zone to go into to continue a story that's in between the current one or even several smaller zones, that connects to the upcoming Division 3's starting point story - update talents for broken PVE systems like damage over time build talents and make new armor sets that provide status ammo - update re-assigned so it can be placed on backpacks instead of chest pieces - make the first shots of all of the status effect talents to add the status effect to the enemies and wait until full reload to reapply the condition instead of waiting on a certain number of kills - make new armor sets that do things like give players and their teams status bullets in other categories such as electric, poison, fire, and blind. This will tied us over until it's time for the new game.
