I tried this setup and it did NOT work for grey squirrels - the instant the squirrel triggers the trap, gravity sends it tumbling away from the squirrel and he gets a whack on the head but isn't caught. I set traps about 18 times and this just kept happening. Ultimately, I got a "squirrellinator" which worked beautifully and is so much easier (though I don't know how it compares to other live traps).

Nice work on your Crosman airguns! I have a some custom 2240s and 1322s in my closet but yours are on another level with the details and paint jobs and everything. They're some of the nicest I've seen. Cheers!

Some good information, some bad; osage trees get huge, I have seen a few that were more than 5' in diameter at the base, some trees grow arrow straight, a few don't have thorns, dry osage won't harm your chainsaw or other cutting tools if said tools a sharp, because of the weight, a tree 15" in diameter or less is the best for staves. You left out hedge apples under the tree for identification and cutting billet wood out of the top for splicing into bow staves.

I own that tent, and like that it is lightweight and camo. I sealed it and sprayed it. When I was growing up, typical pup tents were 5 by 7. That tent is a little smaller. Now that I am an adult, it feels pretty tight inside it. Two adult people would be very tight. But it will work FINE for a backpacking tent.

You missed modding the plastic parts that the spring pushing apart seals the valve. They can be shorter and beveled. And yes you will have to pump more and have a longer barrel. But from owning a Model One and seeing how much you can get from a half size valve my next 13XX valve mod will be decreasing the valve volume.

I used it less than a week and rivet in handle broke . After I replaced it , then other original rivet broke . Since the handle had a lot of vibration and pinch points because it was to thin for full tang , I made a new wood handle that fit full tang . I put brass pins in to hold wood handle . After that , no vibration or pinch points anymore . The sheath finally wore out , so made a leather sheath for it .

found the CDN. spec. piston is further de-tuned with 1mm vent above the plunger hole . #2 x 56 NC was the perfect space tap . At least I know the screw size 🇨🇦

To increase air volume is a losing game because you need to over pump to gain the same pressure do to the increase volume. Now ask your self couldn’t I just over pump a stock valve? Than what’s the point of an increase volume of air when you have a short pistol barrel not a longer rifle length barrel? Seems it would make the gun loader thus tricking people into thinking they got a gain in power.

The first thing a person needs to do is watch a few videos where a thing is disassembled but NOT reassembled... and find out how frustrating such "help" is! Jus why didn't you finish your video with how to reassemble rather than jabbering about what you forgot to do !!!!! now i have it disassembled with no idea how to put the spring underneath the top part of the hammer by the trigger valve! REALLY?

If you want to increase the inside diameter of the air chamber wouldn't it be best to use a reamer or maybe a drill bit would be sufficient needs to be very precise and and smooth

How did you get your Red Dot laser to hit where you want to put your pellet? Only way I figured to site a laser is to have it parallel to the trajectory of the pellet but the pellet never lands where the dot is at.

Looks really good. I realize this is 8 years old and backpacker not offered anymore, but this is first I’ve seen with quick disconnect stock. Was this unique to backpacker kit only? Or if offered somewhere, can you point in right direction.

I have a few new versions of these pistols arriving to me this week. 2240XL and the 1322 pump pistols. Do I need too tear both down and smooth out the bores and inspect all major parts? Or just lube up and shoot?

If you increase the valve capacity you are going to have to pump it more to achieve the same pressure. And you probably won't capitalize on those gains without going to a longer barrel.

Wish they sold these in the UK.
