I got fired on the spot for leaving the door open while at the loading at warehouse I was doing inspection so I had to open to get the qr code so I went to staging area when manager called me no warning or anything I didn't even know the policy existed 1st tier infraction he said

in my 2nd week I went in to the job with a good attitude but they fired me on the spot 1st tier infraction they said I was having issues finding the right wave and lane to drive in so today I get my rabbit and all they said go to wave 1 he said far left ok so I see only one other amazon vehicle in that lane now I remember them telling me only 4 vehicles per lane but I did not go when i was time for my lane and I went ahead of them so I get out open my van for the inspection scan and I see I have staging area j12 My packages were not even there so they must have planned for this me to get fired after I got paid I left my keys in the car and the driver door open they said its fired on the spot for doing that when I know on a post trip route I saw a driver do that like leave the keys in van even if not the door open

I work for Amazon from 2018 into 2023. So I’ve been there before the cameras and a bunch of dumb rules they came up with. I know all the good and the bad. I’ve trained multiple people. First the bad depending on your DSP a lot of them are bad with communication. They definitely have expectations of you that are unrealistic. And being a good driver is a double edge sword. Because if you’re good, like I said they get you to train people. they also give you the highest count of packages because you’re quicker. And they also ask you to go help people that are slower. The one good thing about The EV vans is that you don’t have to go to the gas station at the end of the night. You get a lot less distractions because you don’t need your rabbit. you don’t have to turn your van off and on. far is the actual job is not too many good things I can say about it like I said depends on your DSP and if they actually care about their employees. my old DSP actually gave rewards and gift for driving good. Or if you have been there for a year. You know stuff like that. I would put a pictur

Yes amazon will hire anyone for tier ones (which is quickly going away). If you want a position that's worth anything and will actually pay enough to live L5+ your not just getting in.

They won't hire me because I can only work daycare hours, Monday through Friday between 7:30 and 5:30. That's my dilemma. Most jobs want you to be able to work on the weekends and earlier or later in the day.

I hate to be that guy, but unionization and demanding $25 per hour for a job that doesn’t require math skills is a double edged sword. Unionization won’t make people stay any longer, and $25-$30 per hour will make the price of goods rise substantially. Then they continue to blame billionaires without understanding how economics works 😂. Saving your money, living below your means, and taking pride in your work are the pillars to a successful life.

I"ve applied to so many DSP's here in austin and round rock, and have been to the interview which isn't much of an interview just a rundown of how the job works and still can't get hired. Clean record, working 12 years of delivery still nothing lol. How are yall getting hired?

I don’t know if you Will ever read this but I am a delivery driver and I am a short small framed person. I am only 5’1 . I feel like a lot of the expectations are very unrealistic, my mental has been that great eithier . But this is a job for me . But I am at a point to where I feel like I am stuck because this job was the only thing available for me ,so I took the job because I was going through a tough situation. These oversized packages are BIGGER than me , which is ridiculous I feel like they should have a requirement height wise for certain drivers because at times I can’t even pick up the package and the dsp doesn’t even have a dolly at times which is utter BS. And then they complain and say your route is at jeopardy which only happened once . Hopefully it won’t happen again but I seriously hate this job but I’m introverted too so it’s nice at the same time lol 😂I’m looking for a work from home job though now once I get a place .

I agree. I was a UPS driver helper, and was told bathroom time should be only 1min. Kidding or not, that was inappropriate especially has women, it going to take longer than that, smh and also you gotta have time to wash your hands and lets not forget when were on our flow cycle. I made sure to stop at cvs pharmacy and use their bathroom. Wellbeing affects your health. Thank you for sharing this!!!!

I have driving for them for about 3.5 months and my biggest stress is being in a 16 foot van everyday, which is fine, but the app doesnt always tell you if you can turn around, i got stuck once and an angel of a guy came with a tractor and pulled my out. I would say almost equal is we are trained in our company to stop on some pretty busy highways if we cant pull off to the shoulderz we put our flashers on and extremely cautiously cross the damn highway while people are getting angry at you and trying to pass the van and almost hit you. Today in particular was the WORST day so far as far as THAT stress. I have ADHD and am ahiggly sensitive person and hate stopping and inconveniencing people and making them wait, BUT its part of the job, i wont say undeliverable because i couldnt stop there...STRESSFUL! I got yelled at by another ups driver for stopping in the middle of the road as I Was trained to DO. I wanted to slap him around. Prick. People that arent drivers on any kind, be KIND, its a tough job for not much pay considering the stress. And yes the having to go backwards instead of the app doing those houses first, SO DUMB. I have family near Bezos' house, im gonna leave him a love note saying "You are a gazilllionare, update your tech shit so your drivers can make YOUR company run smoother bro. Anyways, good video. The hard part for me is not taking those uncomfortable situations home with me and replaying a work event that was very short over and over. I love that there are videos addressing this!
