not a person who have used meth or know anyone that i'm aware of that imbibes, is 9grams a lot of it? i know a bit about cocaine and you don't want to be caught with that amount but it's not all that much altho probably enough for a distribution charge? meth sounds like very bad news to me, i wonder why people take it up.

I am a veteran but I don't think veterans should have special treatment, they should be treated the same as teachers, bankers, waiters etc.

What kind of a country is this, where a man can’t comfortably spank his own monkey in a public area, without the government coming to arrest him ? It certainly isn’t any country I want to live in. I can assure you of that. Some say we have freedom in America. I say just go to your local swimming pool, and see how long you can choke your chicken, before they come to arrest you, and throw you in jail. You’re likely to get busted, before you can even bust it. That doesn’t seem much like freedom to me. This certainly isn’t what our founding fathers had in mind, when they fought so hard for our freedom. Those brave men didn’t risk their lives so heroically, for the government to tell them when and where they could jack their Johnsons. That, I can tell you. Believe it or not, our lives and our liberty aren’t the only inalienable rights we are born with, as Americans. It seems as though many of our leaders, today, such as the judge in this video, have forgotten that we also have a right to pursue happiness. As an American citizen, this homeless man has a right to speak to, or to stare at, anyone he chooses, while he punishes his primate, and it’s no one else’s business. Anyone who doesn’t like it is free to look away, or to tickle their own pickle, if that’s what they choose to do, but no one has a right to hinder his happiness, or cock block his climax. As an American citizen, this man is guaranteed to have freedom of expression, according to the First Amendment. The proper way to counter an expression you don’t like is with an expression of your own, but taking away a man’s right to express himself, by force, just proves that you have no valid argument against it. As the United States constitution makes clear, this man’s pursuit of happiness can’t be taken away by our government, or any other, because the government didn’t give him this right, in the first place. This right was given to him, at birth, by God. Though I may disapprove of the way a man chooses to express himself, as a patriotic American, I will defend to the death his right to do whatever it is that he does, in whatever way he chooses. To not defend this man’s right to whittle his whalebone at a swimming pool, quite frankly, would be un-American. The fact that I do strongly approve of what the guy did has nothing to do with why I’m defending him, in other words. I’m defending him because I want my country to be free, the way our founding fathers intended. If Thomas Jefferson or Ben Franklin would’ve ever imagined that an American citizen could get arrested, someday, for nothing more than bopping his bologna at a swimming hole, then they would’ve wanted nothing to do with this country. If George Washington could have foreseen such a disgraceful thing happening in this country, he would’ve most likely fled the continent, with his meat in his hand. I genuinely believe that our first president would’ve stroked his sausage, all the way to Europe, if he’d known this would happen. This is not my America!

Err the prosecution should be there and they need to prove the drugs were illegal and the amount. What on earth is middleton thinking?

What on earth makes you think that it's not available in jail?

JUDGE MIDDLETON is doing this ingrate, drunk, drug addict no favors by letting him slide on previous DUI fines and fines for this guilty verdict. He should have shut him down when he wouldn't admit the amount of meth he had on him and the drug delivery syringe. Nothing would have changed except this person would have the opportunity to accept some responsibility and accountability. Bring him back in 5 days and either deny his guilty plea and force him into trial if he continued to lie about the illegal drug and illegal drug delivery system or accept his plea if he admits to what he's being sentenced for. Either way he needs a Court Ordered scram system because he's going to reoffend and if it's the next County over he's going to do the decade or more. You don't coddle drunks and drug addicts you MAKE them comply. There's a 100% fool proof way to keep a person like this clean & sober and that's 360 day's in the County Jail.

He won't do community service. He will scrounge money and try and buy drugs and/or booze. He needs jail time or inpatient clinic, some hard love. They all have a new job lined up or something else.
