45:34 Why do you switch your fighter from position 2 to 4? The first time you did it you said something about having 0 Luck while the others had 1, but you don't always do it. Is it about keeping him fresh for a fight where you need lots of HP on one guy? Maybe only losing max 50 HP to poisoned instead of 100?

I made a part for hyper late game as you put it, knight, 2 masters and red wiz. the damage the masters do at level 50 is absolutely insane. theres a glitch where at some point you dont want to access your armor or weapon screen because then the Masters abilities get reset to what he is wearing as opposed to having absorb equal to his level

Does the reset % on the side mean that of every time you make it to Lich, you have to reset 37.4% of them? Or with Chaos, you played the entire game, 2-1/2 hours, 13 times and reset on 11 of them? Wow. I'm surprised you even succeeded after only 1817 games.

My favorite ez mode party comp is: Slot 1: FIghter Slot 2: Fighter or Blackbelt (if red/white mage picked below) Slot 3: Blackbelt Slot 4: Blackbelt/Red/White/Black mage. I usually grind to 10 before marsh cave so blackbelts are useful then just fight almost everything along the way with minimal running. If I'm playing the game with less early game grinding, I'd probably do fighters instead of the black belt slots, but that's usually not how I play. Black mage can be useful with the peninsula bug grinding early but I find pretty useless after that (I like better than the red mage since you get more spell charges early). If I do a "no run" playthough, I generally like the red or white mage for slot 4 (for healing/defense magic) and the blackbelt slot 2 (since I have more heals). I think the game does 1/2 attacks to slot 1, 1/4 attacks to slot 2, 1/8 attacks each to slot 3/4, so if slot 2 isn't a fighter, they are taking a bit of damage. Otherwise I'm doing fighter/fighter/black belt/black belt and only running from Sorcerers/Mages/Mancats/R.Goyles.

I remember being a 5 yo kid playing this game on ny parent's nes. They had a party with a bunch of other kids over, couple ended up playing this game and asked what to do while they were in a battle. I said" i just keep pressing buttons" Played through DoS since, but damn, i miss those simple times😅😂 Edit: party with other parents who brought their kids over. Gotta specify lol

I don’t exactly have a save file loaded up to test and average out the results in a few battles in both locations

Regarding the pirate grind and having 1/8 chance of anyone gaining a strong health level, you're looking at roughly 24 level-ups for a 95% chance of getting at least one strong level. Usually. You can, of course, get it much sooner or much later than that.

In the remaster version, bracelets, like the copper and silver bracelets, actually make the monks defense go up higher, so long as they don't equip gloves or caps.

My favorite game because of the replayability. Keep the challenge runs coming for pr and nes versions. I'd like to see actual casual runs too where the battle speed is'nt boosted. Frequently I miss what you have equipped, etc. because it's a speedrun.

This was a breeze with 4 fighter/knights. Fun way to play too, I never played with 4 knights before, always used 1 redmage.

I was surprised this wasn't a boosted exp and gold run. Interesting so far. It moves a lot quicker than the nes version.

I tried this with 4x LV 99 Thieves/Masters and still could NOT Survive the LAST bosses moves EVER.

FF14 1.0 deserve more love, sure server was crappy, lack of auction house was BS, but the game had some really great idea. Caracter level and job level was good concept, not EVERY 'warrior lvl25' where the same things. Skill equiped on cross class gave some varity too. Mixing 2 basic job for for unlock the advance quest was a great idea too, way better than go to XX level with anything, do a fetch quest and bingo final job unlock. In my mind FF14 1.0 is the perfect exemple of a good game poorly executed.

I had an idea while watching... 5:28:00... ✔ ✅ I was going to say... drop items you will never use in this fight... Thief has no flame/ice shield/armor combo... ribbon/proring/opal is tough for evasion/absorb amounts. No elemental reduction from spells. 113 mdef max in first game... this is tough and based on rng.
