Narrative Edit Ai Photo Editing with Adobe Lightroom
The first view and workflow using Ai editing software from Narrative along side Adobe Lightroom to cull, catalog, and edit portrait and wedding photos using the new Iconic Color Style.
Narrative has officially released a major competitor in the Ai photo editing game with a robust self learning Ai engine behind it, tens of thousands of photos in testing, and a workflow that finally makes sense. In this video I walk through the essentials of Narrative Select + Edit showing a few key features such as the focus scores, 100% focus views, culling features and funnels and then most importantly the ship + edit function which sends files directly into Adobe Lightroom Classic with an XMP sidecar fil...

Nice commentary about the prime GS lenses. Curious to know if you use any of the Zoom and how you feel about it. As a landscape photographer I use the 20-35 the 35-70 and the 100-200 mostly. The work very well for my purposes and the IQ is superior. I do own the 55 and I fully agree with your feelings. Thanks you for your video.

I have an XT5 and I also have a GFX camera as well and they make a great tandem for events even though they have a slightly different look to them because of the film simulations and the way they render I can shoot both cameras on a shoot and my clients are still happy. I specify which shots are shot with the GFX. It might be the more candid shots during a wedding and also the ceremony but then I will use the XT5 for a lot of the walkabout shots. It's a great combination. Thanks for your video.

I know this video is old(er), but still wanted to comment. This is evergreen content and deserves to be promoted. Glad I found your channel. And… I know this story. I shot technical work in college on a 4x5 view camera, but after college lost access to that camera. Canon, canon, more canon. Then one day I made the leap to Fuji X-E2. I used that camera for a decade, loving it, until the X-S10. And I loved that camera. Bought the X-T5, traded it for the X-H2. Another camera I love. Just this year got the GFX100S and omg, I’m still wondering why I didn’t do that years ago. Some of my lenses are for commercial work, but my favorites are adapted manual focus lenses (and sometimes even my clients will notice the different look they give). Gear does matter.

This was fun! I’ve been shooting medium format since my father gave me his WWII twin lens Rollei. Shot Pentax 67 & 645. I do mostly architecture so mirror less opens all kinds of doors. I also do portraits of family. I disagree with you about the 45. I think it is a great lens and somehow very diff from a 35mm on FF. Your channel interests me in part bc I have too much gear. I sold the 63 and bought and sold the 80mm. The 55mm sounds very interesting tho heavy. For my money the best GF lens is the 110mm. It’s the only lens I use that makes me think I am a great photographer. The rest are great but suggest I’m still in a learning stage. My least favorite is the gf 100-200. I use the canon EF 100-400. Very heavy. Some vignetting but. SHARP! Way sharp. And focuses to 36 inches. Again, fun delivery!!! Thanks

Thank you for having the balls to call the GF50 for what it is. A boring lens! I may be the only other person who shares your opinion on this. (Havent read your comments yet, but I'm hoping more people agree). Fun fact, I started out with the XT2 before going medium format - the GF50 was the ONLY lens I have sold. Ever. Across all systems. I wanted to love the lens so much. The lens does not have any magic. Well said.

Everything from landscapes to weddings to Real Estate to products. I do a bit of everything. And I haven't got the 55 1.7 yet but it's definitely on my list. I'm currently saving for the new GFX100s ii and I'm really looking forward to that and then I'll get the 55 1.7.. And the GF35-70mm. Sold them. I agree with you 100% about the GF55mm. I also have the GF30mm. But since I bought the GF55mm, it hasn't been off the camera. Why so much hate on that little 50, lol? It does have pretty fast AF, and if you stop it down a little it works fine in the studio. But you're right: no real magic. Nothing like those 55 shots at medium distance you showed: interest sparked :-) If you talk about magic, my favorite is the 110. That thing is awesome (but not the most versatile of course). The 30 is a solid lens too, and it always delivers when I need extra wide, but not as magical as that 55. I have a feeling your video is going to cost me money, lol. Subbed though :-)

This was super dope Jared! Def love the more seamless less node approach especially with drone work since doing a ton of color correction on clips that are maybe 1-5% of a film can be such a time suck! Keep the fun stuff coming!

THIS. Totally was his hope when creating this video man. I know sometimes jumping from the big sensors to these tiny drone sensors can make keeping color consistency such a headache. This seems like a good solution!

YES DUDE. Tell me Jared didn't absolutely CRUSH this video! You've got to see the training program we built while we were in Mexico man! www.mileswittboyer.com/destination-photographers-guide

Love those colors. To be fair GFX lacks of bright 400/2.8, 600/4, 800/5.6. So nothing for long telephoto. And actually long reach goes not only for wildlife, I love mountains landscapes with 500 and 600 mm.

You're not wrong there. However, with 103 megapixels on a sensor 1.7X larger than "full frame" you're ability to crop is essentially unrestricted.

RUclips search absolutely sucks. Finally stumbled on your video. I was inches away from dumping my XH2 for a GFX 50S2 thinking images needed that upgrade to achieve better performance. Understand the GFX can do it. But is it financially worthwhile? I would have done it for the 100s2. Then I’d have dump all my lenses and my XH2S as well. Looking 👀 into your channel I see some very interesting episodes. I’ll need to catch up and subscribe. For me its all about photography more than video. Keep plugging away great stuff. For now I’ll sit on my XH2 and XH2S. Your comment about cropped sensor vs full frame is true. I left SONY A7R4 and A7S3 because of color and menus. All the best!

thanks Joe! Just enjoying creating some work while we're already working! I think having actual, working, active photographers share their perspective is so much more inspiring than the "educator" vacuum that so much of the industry is sucked into.
