Dude rock raiders deserves more accolades. It was an awesome theme, the minifigures were great, the color scheme was excellent. You wouldn't have power miners had it not been for the original crew that pioneered the underground path.

My thoughts on the themes I can say stuff about. Only the ones I have something to say. Almost all of these sets aren't in the Lego Racers games, except for the Xalax creatures and cars. It's a really weird disconnect between the line and the games

My favorite HF sets used to be from 2010-2012 once but now I've started to think they're overrated and decided to give Brain Attack and Invasion from Below a chance because I like Mechs and Monsters. Any 2010-2012 Hero Factory purist who hated those two 2013-2014 lines has a problem with my positive opinion on Brain Attack and Invasion from Below can take a hike lol.

I never had any of the sets sadly so I missed out, but I might try to get some along with Exo-Force too lol. Probably my favorite sets would be the big action figures because the weapons look awesome imo :)

I remember that last castle. It was so random and didn't seem to fit into the story at all (I had the little books so I knew all the lore) I wonder why they ended it like that.

Lego needs to bring back all of these themes. I miss the 'in house' lego brands. Space, Castle, Western, Pirates. Those made Lego great not the new overpriced half assed Star Wars crap.

Oh man, such a blast of nostalgia! I think I had almost every 2003 set, I really liked the big tiger guy and the Taj Mahal-looking palace. Miss my boy Johnny! He was my hero as a kid 🤗

It just occured to me, all those weird little sets in 2000 means that you could collect quite a lot of minifigures after a while, to build an actual Lego-army. You didn't really get that with the 2004-Knights Kingdom, because all the sets had the same characters. So you just ended up with several clones of the same knights

10:14 was my first Racers set - 8150 ZX Turbo! I still have it, and I've been collecting sets and making Tiny Turbos MOCs for as long as I can remember. Even now I have like 14 of these lil guys scattered on my desk.

Why doesn’t Lego make stuff like this anymore? Now it’s either licensed sets or City and Creator sets, and IMO, Creator takes the fun out of it because they’re restricted to certain things, and every set is just a one off, not a theme with a story. They need to have these original sets thought out by the designers themselves. Even though I’m not a kid, these types are so much more magical to me than the others

When I was a kid I owned all the audio dramas of Lego Adventurers, back then still on cassettes, and I would listen to them over and over again. It was simply amazing... miss those times...

When I was a kid, Blacktron and M Tron were so mysterious to me as they were in older kids’ collections. Maybe I’d find the odd mini fig into my toy box, but I’d have no idea how they got there. Ice Planet, Space Police 2 and Spyrius are what first captivated me as a kid. I’ll never forget those first few sets. Core memories for sure. But I played most heavily with Exploriens, UFO, And RoboForce. This is when they got more ambitious with their prints, and introduced more unique brick shapes without going fully representational. UFO pushed it a little with the saucer pieces, but they still felt platonic enough to blend in with my collection and lend themselves to creative stuff to build. Those Explorien holographic stickers, the fossils, and god especially the data disks from all these space sets did something special for me. Although not space themed, the Aquanauts and Aquasharks fit in nicely alongside this generation and led to some incredible builds and battles that I’ll never remember the details of. Unitron was rare as hens teeth to see among my friends and toy stores, always dreamed of the monorail system. I started to check out a bit with Insectoids but they were still pretty sweet. I think the more representational and explicit lego pieces and prints became, the less charming and imaginative they were. That’s not to say there weren’t soon cool designs in the 00’s based on this video, but I know where my heart is.
