Three Boys Garage

If it's mechanical we like it. Find it, acquire it (sometimes free, sometimes trade, sometimes buy) then fix it or reuse it in another project somehow. I hate to see things discarded that have life left in them.
The Original Mustang - HIDDEN LIENS!
This is the first Mustang we purchased. Found in Virginia. Turns out we had to eventually take it back because of title issues when trying to transfer to NC. Which eventually leads us to the blue Mustang saga that will be coming up in future uploads.

My first rodeo with an online auction - and not from one of the big guys like CoPart or IAAA ... nope. Nothing like seeing a 17 Year Old Volvo S60 two hours from the house as a good first car to try to win.

Honda SuperHawk 996 (VTR 1000) Rebuild Continues
Thanks brotha I’m rebuilding a 98 and this helped a lot I was stuck on the hose on top of the overflow tank who would have known it was just hanging off the side 😅
I have an S60 D5 from 2003 and I have no voltage on the wires going into the egr
Analysis by replacement is a poor tactic .
@@philliplopez8745 worked just fine especially when the parts are dirt cheap and easy to swap.
That’s a good looking car
@@keeganclarke3650 yes. Too bad the car title was a mess.
Some fantastic advice and guidance. I’m currently getting my 98’ Firestorm back on the road after being sitting for 3 years. 👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼👍🏼
@@davidtaylor5205 thank you. Glad it helped.
Thank you man ,this video saved me alot of time reattaching my hoses
@@scrambleyourface glad to hear. Those hoses are a nightmare.
Thank you
Those bikes have the exact wheelbase rake and trail as a 916 Ducati not as racy but a better more durable and powerful twin.I own a 98 and the brakes are weak and spongy and suspension is soft but ok , but they are stable and handle so easy and great.
Where is speed sensor located?
usparts.volvocars.com/p/Volvo__S60/Vehicle-Speed-Sensor/42796573/30713952.html Diagram shows the location
Great job, I'm just going through a very similar process myself 👍
The air box clips can be easily released by using an 8mm socket on a long extension. You fit the socket over the four prongs and push down while pulling up on that corner of the box. The box will pop right out.
Hey is there a key code on the back of that ignition? I have the same bike and need a new key and people said it’s on the back.
What in the heck you doing with this video cuts and turns I seen nothing you doing?
Yeah wish I had a camera mount of some kind. I do my best with what I have.
Hi. At 5:10 I’d love to know where the other end of hose number 11 goes please.
Hi Duncan, man wish I could tell you off hand but I have since sold the bike so can't go out and look. It may be possible to see me catch it in one of the other videos. I tried searching online for you, but only see the top half of the hose and not where it follows through. Wish I could have gotten better pictures when doing these videos but had no helper with the camera.
Not sure you’ll even see this but I have a 01 Volvo s60 2.5t and there is no cam sensor in that position yours is. Any idea about this car?
Hi, your cam sensor ocated should be located on the drivers side of the head under the engine motor mount. You should be able to get to it from from the back side.
Bike ignition got vandalized by thieves . Are there any how to video's to unlock steering on vtr 1000
Sorry to hear about that. I hate thieves! You should be able to remove the ignition lock from the steering stem and install a new one. The ignition cylinder/lock acts as your steering lock.
nice love it guys!!!
Is that Murfreesboro?
No. Near the coast.
Very nicely done I love especially in blue on blue interior it's a blutiful fox4eye👍👍🏆
Four Eye! Love those. Great sounding Fox. They're so fun to drive. I've gotta 90 GT.
Sounds good what mufflers are you running??
it's a FlowMaster setup
Drive that thing like it’s meant to be driven 😂

sorry, I'm trying. Just so busy with life and day job.
I have an 86” love your sons ride.
Sounds good
Thanks bro your video has just saved me so much time...😊
Glad it could help. Wish I could have done a cleaner production of it. Hard working with one hand on the camera.
Nice
Great video awesome car love the four eyed cars Ford power forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them bow ties and the horns off them Mopars
Did 14 get connected to anything? (Long thin pipe from the front carb on the right side)
Change your fuel rail sensor
So far car's been doing great starting once I changed the crank and cam sensors.
I got a 2004 xc70 my engine bay don't look like that you power wash it weekly
Ha! No, can you believe I got this car at an estate auction. 1 owner, ALL paperwork - I mean all of it, all from a dealer service center too. 6x,000 miles. Crazy how clean it was. Owner really took care of it.
nice man! looking at getting the monster SP+
Good videos.
That Front Left Carb Breather Hose is a Total Bastard to get on, i'm looking now to see if there's a Trick to it, the Plastic Tray Stops you from using your fingers to push it on! I'm tempted to cut a hole like you did but on the Opposite side! -Cheers 👍
Thank you had hose 13 attached to the tank but could not find where it went on the bike. New it was a vacuum hose but could not find it for looking
Glad the video could help. It sure is a mess of hoses under that tank! I've seen under a lot of different bikes and this one has been the worst.
the easy way to get the box out is to use a socket. Don't remember what size, maybe an 11 or 12 mm and a little wd40. Spray the plastic plug and jam the socket down over it. This will close the plug just enough to lift the box up and clear it. Repeat at the other two locations.
I can't get spark out of mine lmk if u had this problem
I kept hooking up #13 to the vent and it kept dying. One of the best videos I’ve seen. Very detailed. We really appreciate you!
Japanese Phillips head screws need a JIS (Japanese industrial standard screwdriver) to keep from camming out- US Phillips screwdrivers will not work. Actually, the Phillips head that comes in the Honda tool kit works quite well
Excuse me, the part you changed is also known as a speed sensor? or is it another part .... greetings
I changed the Crankshaft sensor and Camshaft sensor.
Great video from a fellow VTR1000 owner in the UK - thank you
You swaped the 2 sensors at the same time? Don't you know which sensor was the bad one? I have the exact same problem on my 2001 S60 T5, I already swaped the sensors, sometime the motor starts and runs just fine for a while and sudly it takes 10 ou 15s to start or even several attempts.
I suspect it's your fuel pump. If you have replaced both sensors and still have a hard starting issue. Your fuel system is likely losing pressure slowly when the car sits so you have to crank it awhile to build the pressure back up. At least on the 2004 the fuel pump is a common hard starting culprit. Not sure with the newer 21's. You should be under warranty right? Just let the dealer fix it.
@@threeboysgarage the fuel system seems to be ok. it has about 4 bars of pressure and sometimes the car starts just fine if it stays still for 3, 4, 5 days. I think the issue is the crank sensor. It has about 125 ohms. seems to be quite low. Sorry! is not 2021 but 2001 model! my bad!
@@the_vortex Ah makes sense on the warranty question now. LOL Yes, just replace it. It's cheap and easy to do.
@@the_vortex your fuel system is losing pressure over time
@@sideshow4417 it's all good with the fuel system pressure
Hi I really happy to find your RUclips channel 🙂 I bought Vtr 1000 for winter project and your instructions are super helpful for me! I looking for manual pdf if you have maybe can you send on email or give me link ? Please Regards from Poland 🇵🇱
Hi Jarek, I have some manual pdf's I could send you. Let me know your email. Thanks
I know the clunk you mean. But hasn't affected the bike from running great.could be just a total misfire now and again
Nice! The same bike I have with the same colors, love it! I ride mine in Bangkok ruclips.net/video/35e4gKi3wdg/видео.html and its crazy hot lol
I put a set of delkavic mufflers and my bike is running very rich, can you tell me what kind of jets I need to buy, factory air box by the way!
Hi Brandon. I would recommend going to the Delkavic website and looking for the reference for your bike (or email/call/tweet them). They should best be able to help you. Depends on your altitude too.
@@threeboysgarage I will do that thanks man!
Where in NC I'm in Raleigh 03 vtr1000
I mean the black wire on heat switch to the plug with the black and green.to bypass
Thanks. Yes, some people install a manual switch as well so they can force the fan on as needed before it gets to the heat temp for the 'temp switch to kick in'. For example, if you are stop-n-go traffic and it's backed up, get the fan running now.
Black wire to the negative on plug that got green and black to the black to bypass the heat switch fan will go if fan is good it be the heat switch more than likely
Hello!! My vtr 1000 is overflowing fuel into engine, and coming out from it exhaust
Hi, it sounds like your carbs needs to re-built and/or it's jetting much too rich. Is it all stock?
clean fuel chamber and check a float valve or take a rubber hammer and just a little tap on the side of fuel chamber(I try this on my CM400T, overfloating problem fuel leaking from fuel chamber, its a problem if the carb motorcycles are not driven more than once a two weeks)
