Rolex Daytona alternative? - My Honest Seiko Speedtimer Review
Просмотров 90221 день назад
After some consideration I bought the Seiko Panda SSC813 Speedtimer and this is my review. It’s a watch with major hype, often compared to the Rolex Daytona for its ‘panda dial’ and chronograph look. But after a month on the wrist, I started questioning if I bought it for the right reasons. Is it really one of Seiko’s best Prospex models, or is the hype overdone? In this video, I’ll dive deep i...
Can a watch collector live with only one watch?

I set myself the ultimate challenge: wearing the Seiko SNXS79 as my only watch. No weekend divers, no dress watches for formal occasions-just this one, day in and day out. As collectors, we often chase the next piece, justifying huge price tags and multiple watches for every occasion. But what if a simple, reliable watch like the SNXS79K1 could give us 90% of what we need? In this video, I dive...

How to set up and use a GMT watch
Просмотров 152Месяц назад
Setting an office GMT watch is straightforward and useful if you want to track two time zones at once (e.g., your local time and the time in another office or region). Here's how to do it: 1. Unscrew or Pull Out the Crown First Position: This is typically used for winding the watch. Second Position: This is used to set the GMT hand (and sometimes the date, depending on your watch model). How to turn your CasiOak into a Royal Oak (Full Guide)
The bracelet is trash and changing it is difficult (not impossible). The dial is stunning tho hehehe.
I had this watch, I loved how the look, how it wore. The movement however was terrible, had it sent to Seiko, was regulated and still was not good. I sold the watch. Better movement and I would rebuy in a heartbeat.
Would you recommend this watch for long term use?
Good stuff, man! Very informative!
Glad you liked it, appreciate the feedback!
Great video my guy!
Thanks for watching! I really appreciate it
Mine has "MADE IN CHINA" printed at the back... 😊
I see you having 3 „divers“, a sportswatch and a fieldwatch. Id say ad a presage, lose the monster and the 5.
I used to own the presage style 60's, you can check my review, but i sold it after owning the spb143, my go to "dress diver" watch. Thanks for the comment, i really appreciate it
I've the seastar powermatic so I bought the prx quartz. It's a great watch for sure.
Fantastic watch for the money, i wish they offer the waffle dial on the quartz model.
@@timepieceofart I think that's how they distinguish between the two variants.
How many years is the lifespan of this watch sir? I'm planning to buy my first watch I can't choose between solar or automatic watch. What would you recommend sir thank you
I terms of daily use, solar is way more convenient, especially if you dont wear your watch everyday. The lifespan of the solar battery is around 10 years. But i prefer automatic movement, with proper maintenance, it can last practically forever. Cheers
@timepieceofart if the battery damaged after 10 years it is changeble? Or it can be repair?
Yes, you can replace the battery like on any other regular quartz watch
@@timepieceofart so when you change the battery it will run again for another 10 years?
Nice review. Am planning to buy this exact green one.
You'll love it. It's a great looking watch.
It's for slim wrist good built or average built mandon't buy it you regret because it's too small
Owned it, twice and sold it twice. Now have a Submariner 126610LN abs the difference is night and day. It's so much comfortable the wrist. The Seamaster bravelet is so uncomfortable and sharp and the watch feels too heavy and bulky for general every day wear. Its very "sporty" looking as well so I found it didn't fit as a "do it all" watch. Don't get me wrong, it's a great watch - but I own the older pre-ceramic Seamaster which I much prefee.
Lots of people say the same thing about the seamaster bracelet, that is not the most comfortable, especially compared to the oyster bracelet. I agree that tha seamaster is slightly on the heavier side. Thanks for your comment, i really appreciate it. Cheers
What a nice video. You have a new subscriber!Really cool offering from AMZWATCH! I love the black dial. Great!
Welldone mate, thanx!
Glad it helped. Cheers
It seems like your links are broken. Wrong watches
It could be because it's set up to redirect to the nearest amazon store, they work fine for me
I own the black one. It's definitely a bang for the buck. The only two things I'd work and I feel should no add too much value on the end product: AR coating and solid links. Even of the EdificeOak would cost +30/50 euros, with these changes, it'd be so worth it. Great video, my dude. Keep it up.
Thank you for your comment i really appreciate it. I agree that the solid links would really be a bonus, in general the bracelet is the weak point of this watch.
man, I wish they bring back efv-110d, 35mm one
SAME
Great watch, i really like the yellow tip on the second hand
absolutely beautiful sadly it is not available in India
It's available on Amazon and shopper's stop
It’s a shame it isn’t available, but hopefully it will be released in your country soon!
It is available on Casio India shop website.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the AMZWATCH's watches are the most intriguing.
No we cannot otherwise we would be like normal people we my friend are not that being said I can love many watches under 500$ some under 200 but never just 1
I couldn't agree more :) What is your favorite watch and number one pick?
@ impossible but right now for work I’m wearing a 36 mm tisell explorer homage 220$ when I get home I wear my 1965 omega seamaster I think I paid 550$ for but the tisell is gada watch
Where's the dress watch? 😢
The SPB143 plays the role of a dress watch 😀if we consider the submariner as a dress diver, the 143 is as close as it gets
As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, AMZWATCH is a good choice.
One of my favorite Seikos...EVER!! love this watch and the price has come down since it has been released. You can get these pre owned for 700 dollars.
I think that's one of the best value for money Seiko on the market right now.
Good review, well done. I have this watch as well and and I really like it. I paid 400 euros for mine. Bought it as new on the secondary market. Well worth that price. The second hand does not hit all the markers exactly but to me that is just a little quirck.
You really got great price for this watch. I don't notice the misalignment on the second hand that much, now that you mention i started to see it😀. Thanks for the comment i really appreciate it.
I'll clarify for all. Prx automatic has eta 2824 version 2. Eta 2824 Swiss movement belongs to many entry to mid Swiss watches. Older tag n omega used eta 2824 movement. Excellent value for 1000 dollar watch
Really well explained, thank you for the clarification. Cheers
the casioak has a negative display
Fantastic review 👏 how do you feel about this compared to the 143 ? Do you have a favourite out of the 2 ? I have a 143 and thinking of getting this not sure if to just stick with the 143 thanks 😊
Thank you for your comment, i really appreciate it. I might be a little biased, but for me, the 143 is the best seiko hands down😀it gets the most wrist time and i think the quality is on another level compared to the speedtimer. You can check my review of the 143 on my channel. Cheers and enjoy your watches.
@timepieceofart thanks for the reply I think I might skip the panda 🐼 then I saw other day for gbp £440 that was fairly cheap but if the 143 is a lot better no point paying 😀
❤PRX is classy , love the content mate
Thanks, i really appreciate it
I own both and love them equally.
I guess that is the real solution 😀
what about gentleman vs le leche?
Le loche is way dressier than the gentleman, i think the gentleman is more versatile choice.
@@timepieceofart Thanks for answer. Todey i went tissot seller, than i see tissot chemin des tourelles 42mm green edition. I said take my money and give it to me :) I feel in love with it....
As someone who owns this and the SJE093 62MAS recreation, the SPB143 is worth every penny.
I haven't had a chance to review SJE093 yet, but i guess it is na hell of a watch.
Is the 093 t Not far better?
@@daveLin104 I don’t know if it’s 3x the price or if the spb is value for money.
@d.kashani tbf though I think same can be said for a lot of watches lot are rip offs now a sub or a seamaster is noway worth anywhere near the price being charged now people are being done over.
I’ll be getting the PRX because it’s not from Japan
The 143 is great. It’s an ongoing favorite and frequent wear. I wanted an SKX, until bought a lightly refurbished one. It comes off pretty crude vs the 143 or a new high-spec turtle. I can’t get onboard with the SRPD, without the dive bezel lume pip.
The 143 is favorite of mine, but trust me the SRPD is a great watch even without the lume pio. Do you own any of this watch?
I am thinking about buying prx quartz gold 35mm. Should I?
I like the dial on the automatic, but the gold colored quartz is the only other color that i would choose. But on my wrist, the 35mm is too small
@timepieceofart thank you so much!! My wrist is small so i ambuying 35mm
😆 Hahaha, yes. But you must feel it when you go in boutique and put on your wrist swiss watch that is waiting only for you to get it. 😆
I guess i will save that experience for my grail watch, the Omega Speedmaster😀
I think it is time for you to move from Japan to Switzerland
Considering the price of an average "luxury" swiss watch, i am going to stick with Seiko for a while 😀
Cheaper to stay in Japan and more fun
£1150! 😮 Way overpriced for what you get.
I totally agree that it is overpriced, but if you can find it in mint condition for almost half the price, it's a steal.
I am just thinking to buy it from eBay and it is costing me around $850 for a new one, meanwhile never purchased anything big from eBay so little confused for now lol
No way is the snx a one and only watch. Awful hardlex. No hack or hand wind. Dreadful bracelet. Massive display caseback which means the watch sits high above the wrist like a UFO just to catch a small glimpse of an extremely ugly movement. Pick up a JDM model instead. I just got a SARY057 for not much more than an snx costs. It has: Sapphire Crystal Hacking and handwinding. Beautiful bracelet. Sits against the wrist.
I think the SNX represents a watch that can fulfill all the needs of luxury watch at the fracto of the price. I think thant for most people it is more than enough. Thanks for your comment i really appreciate it.
I know many people who only care smartphones and do not have any watches 😂
I don't know how people manage to live without a watch😀
@timepieceofart me too. I have 7 of them in my collection 😄
I have a Rolex Explorer.
In my opinion, maybe the best GADA watch😀What size do you have?
@ 36. It’s the 124270.
Yes, Hamilton H-10 & H-50 movements are very very accurate & reliable...
The movement found in the Hamilt is undeniably better than the movement found in the Seiko. Generally speaking its far superior but for some, me included, manual winding is a bit of a hassle.
Nah YOU WILL NEED A CHRONOGRAPH WATCH TOO!
That's the reason why i got the Seiko Speedtimer, you can check the review on the channel. Regards
It’s actually feels like start to luxury watch collection
Great choice for a first automatic watch
i wish they made the powermatic with the dial of the quartz, I'm not a fan of the waffle dial, it's too bad
I think one of the stand out features is the waffle dial, it is what make this watch so desirable
My dive watch is my everyday watch. My everyday watch is my beater watch, therefore I only need 1 diver.
I guess no one needs anything more other than a dive watch😀
@@timepieceofart dive watch and a dress watch. Maybe a 3rd "showpiece" style of watch if you want to feel more "complete". I'm a brokie, so my ideal 3 watch collection would be: my Invicta 8926OB as my daily/beater. Bulova 96B158 as my dress watch, and a Citizen CB5898-59E (or a cool-looking comparably-priced watch) for when I feel like showing off.
Found you via Reddit, nice! Subscribed
Thanks mate, really appreciate it! I hope you liked the video, cheers.
im gonna do this too i just need to watch more videos like this! and decide what dial. i suck at deciding!
😀i completely understand your frustration, so many parts to choose from. But trust me, when you finally do it, it is totally worth it. Cheers and happy moding.
looks good!
What is your wrist size?
7 inches
this piece is also nice...not better than PRX, both are beautiful in their own ways.
I agree, its personal preference after all
This is an accurate description, well done. I originally wanted the SSC813, but after trying it on, the dimensions were not for me and the thing that stuck out the most was the ‘smaller’ sub-dial at the six o’clock position, I felt it size compromised the symmetry of the watch. Furthermore at 39mm the legibility of the smaller sub-dial was an issue. I have watched many reviews about the SSC813 but your review seems to be the only one to address that smaller sub-dial. I love the colour way of the SSC813 but in the end I purchased the SSC911 which I found to be a better fit and in addition I felt it had better symmetry to it. The SSC923P1 Black Series (aka Darth Seiko) takes a more ‘Stealthy’ approach and comes with what I feel is the most potent version of Seiko’s ‘retina searing’ LumiBrite on the hands and index(es).
Thank you for your comment, i really appreciate it. How do you like the SSC911, i have had a chance to try it on yet.
I like it very much, it’s not perfect but it’s an attractive watch, nice dimensions and relatively functional.
