If the car runs bypass and put in BOV would it bog a bit on idle or give any SES code?
No you should not get any codes
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks thank you friend. 🙏
Question? When you are doing data log, did you changed mod from normal to sport or the tune is made to work in normal mode? I’m confused if I have to changed modes to get the best of the tune…
If you’re just doing a normal performance tune, it does not matter which mode you’re in. I always drive around in sport mode, but the tune will be in all modes.
crazy part is i own both now lol
Hell yeah lol
You and Ken gotta get together. He has a 3.0 swapped fusion sport
Don’t know who Ken is
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks ima send you a message on ig
Fix or repair daily 😂😂😂
It will be alright
Holy shit 🤦🏽♂️ so painful to watch
Even more painful to actually have to do it 😅
This Explorer ST is not coming with Brembo Brake kti , from where did you get these Brembo Calipers
I have a video over that as well if you look at my other videos they are off a gt500
What brand are those hood shocks lifters?
They are MRT 😁
Hey bud! Does either brand of intercooler perform about the same? have you noticed any real difference in numbers. I'm out in the corpus area and just bought myself a ST and I'm looking to make some upgrades already.
Honestly their is not a huge difference bewteen the brands as far as performance it’s very minimal
Great install video man, there wasn’t anything out when I put mine on…took me a little bit
Yeah I was late to the game 😅
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks you got the best one out now man, makes up for it lol. How do you like the in cab noise from that thing though? I think they sound insane
@WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot69 oh yeah it outperforms the S&B too from the data I took lol and sounds insane lol
Ughh, having that lift in the garage and not being able to use it for this is like dying of dehydration in the ocean 🙂Strong work!! I love everything about he 25" and agree that Thermal is the way to go for this application. I'll make sure to use HSF when I place my order. Thanks for sharing, and all your videos are super helpful.
We could have used the lift but I like to work on the ground to show everyone it’s possible to do it in your own driveway without a lift 😁 and thank you that truly means a lot 🙏
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks At least you can use yours. I am waiting on longer arms because the ones that came on my lift wont reach the pinch welds on my ST. I don't really see any other good lifting points. Or not 4 of them anyhow.
@cwsosby oh man that sucks 🥲
Cool mustang
Thank you
Are the 2025 ST still plagued with weak rear differential bolts? Is the rear differential support needed? Kinda looks like there are 2 bolts back there but not sure.
Correct the 25s only have one bolt as well a diff brace is needed if you’ll be tracking car
@@HoustonSpeedFreakswhat about just normal street use (and tuned if that ever comes)? Just a normal person who like to speed up fast at the on ramps.
The 02 spacers… do you have to use those?
Yes, I’ve seen many people throw a code that don’t use them
After installing that into my 2020 Explorer ST I have allot of vibration in the drive train.
I was just about to ask . Is this even a necessary mod? Listening to him explain the tasks, it sounded complicated. Especially for a 2025 year car.. is it necessary?
The only one I got vibration from was mine which was a tester price and stiffer than the rest being offered. When I made the original video over the tester price I did warn everyone this mod definitely isn’t for everyone. But not going to like the 10 I’ve installed after the tester piece have had little to no vibrations after the install. Especially after you let it settle in which takes roughly a week of driving.
Where in Jersey can i get this DONE!!!!!
I wish I could tell you a good shop up there but I don’t know of any unfortunately 🥲
What's worse than Afe?
In order from worst to best in my opinion Oem K&N AFE S&B And the best is fenfab V2
That ST is fast boyy
Thank you 🙏
Why put the new rim on its face ? Run risk of scratching it on concrete
If you look closely that’s actually gym Matt’s it’s laying on not concrete 😁
Where can i get that strut tower?
Imported it from Germany from a company called SPR
Guys I’m sure you know this but I don’t recall you mentioning it in the video. After installation and vehicle reassembly the front radar needs to be recalibrated. Anytime a radar is is removed it needs to be double checked in calibration just to be safe.
Just watched this video then text one of my bosses to pull aside a set of gt500 calipers and rotors for me instead of recycling them.
Hell yeah! All you’ll need is the mofo speed bracket and you’ll be all set
Quick question... I have a 2020, so would the hks BOV be useless for my factory bov? Does the HKS sound better or perform better?
Technically the oem is a bypass valve but as far as performance a BOV doesn’t necessarily add power at all it’s just for sounds and to help get rid of extra pressure when letting off of boost so instead of putting it back into your intake system it just blows it out to atmosphere giving you that iconic BOV sound.
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks cool thanks for your reply. I guess I got a better understanding of it now. Also does Cold Air intake add sound as well?
@Leorgo anytime man 😁 and the only food air intake that will actually add sound is the fenfab v2 intake 😁
I want an st, but I've been hearing about them dropping valves. Any of you guys have that problem?
Only known one guy that it happened to honestly
Check out HPL Teal for your next fluid change. It's the only other ULV on the aftermarket aside from Valvoline ULV and it's HPL so only the finest base oils. I've been running it for the last 6k miles and this is the best it's ever shifted.
does anyone know who made the caliper brackets?
A company called mofo speed makes them I realized I forgot to add that into the video that’s my fault. Idk if he has a website or just sell through Facebook.
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks Thank you. I appreciate all the videos and work you guys do.
Brother, if there were a superhighway from Hawaii to California, I ABSOLUTELY would drive to have you work on my explorer!!!
That would be a wild long bridge lol
At 70k would you recommend a filter change with it?
Absolutely!
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks messaged you on IG man
How to install GT500 brakes on the ST: Step 1, drive to Houston and knock on Travis’ door
😂😂😂
Dang, that looks great. Just don't think I would be happy with it being a firmer ride than it is already.
Go H&R ride just like factory
My bushing went on mines. Gotta get Fen Fab to send me a bushing.
How the heck did you do that
Makes you wonder how much weight this kit adds to the car.
We need to get a bigger scale it maxed out the scale we tried weighing it on 😅
What would you estimate total cost at for parts?
He was in this kit for right around 2k in parts 😁
Those wheels look fantastic! Will the GT 500 wheels fit without spacers? Will this kit fit in the Aviator?
I mean we do use the same mug pattern as the gt500 so I would assume the GT500 wheels would fit over the brakes. And yes this kit will work on the aviators as well
Will this work on an f150?
You’d have to find an adapter to mount the caliper and I doubt it as you need to find different rotors as f150s are 6 lug and explorer and mustangs are 5 lug
Looks good, you should do the weld all the way across instead of in little sections. If it is one continuous weld I think it would look better. Looks nice though.
Thank you 🙏
The brakes looks great I like the color of the rims.
Thank you 🙏😁
There was a reason ford had the exhaust tips firing down! To keep exhaust from being sucked into the rear intake for the ac system! You will get carbon monoxide in that car!
No you won’t, the tips were aimed down to keep the tips from getting dirty so fast.
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks sorry to contradict your statement but I am 100 percent right. I have had 3 explorers all of them had exhaust problems 2016 2017 and 2019. Ford knew of the issue but wouldn’t issue a recall. I had all 3 bought back due to unsafe levels of carbon monoxide in the cabin. I had ford techs from 3 different dealerships all say the same thing after the redesign they have all their exhaust tips down facing to keep exhaust from being sucked up into the rear ac intake behind rear quarter panel.
@@Kawika997 this is the dumbest shit I ever heard 😂. Pointing them down or going straight back won’t stop carbon monoxide gas fumes penetrating the cabin. The gas fumes are still being generated from the same location and rising into the atmosphere. What you’re saying is like saying you won’t get wet in the shower if you keep your back to the shower head. What you’re referring to was an issue on a previous body style with completely different engineering that only affected the FPIU models, mostly caused from police unfitting. Ford corrected those concerns through recalls. This is not an issue on the 20+ models.
@@JasonSmith883 yea ok 👌 so I guess the fact that we had 10x the amount of carbon dioxide in the cab of our explorer than normal was a one off? How about do some actual research and find out there were 3 tsb issued by ford for carbon dioxide getting into the cab of the explorer that were non police cars! They only did something because police forces were going to refuse explorers from ford if they didn’t fix the issue! Ford claimed that was one of the fixes not me dumbass!
Are the Wagner or CVfab intercooler able to be installed on the 2025? I see you guys did the Thermal exhaust and there was no issue.
Yes sir I have a video installing the cvfab intercooler and explain what needs to be done.
Don’t undo anything lol. Just snap those tabs off the back of the stock emblem with a plastic panel tool. They with break off pretty damn easy. The nuts will fall to the tray where you can reach in and get them with your hand. Leave the nuts off the new emblems and just use 3m. It ain’t going anywhere. 5mins your done. Then you ever need to change you don’t have to go through a bunch of bs again . Guys taking the front bumper off for an emblem are crazy
That’s the true lazy way but it doesn’t take long to take off the bumper😅
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks Its not lazy, it just doesn't make sense to take off the bumper for an emblem. Every time you take that bumper off you risk snapping a tab off the bumper. If youre back there doing multiple things like a grill swap, headlights or something else so be it, but for a cheap emblem no thx. Risk vs reward
How much is brake kit ?
Roughly $2000 give or take on if you find a used set like we did
nother dope vid Travis! Hope to using some of ur tutorials soon! Hope to be a ST owner this fall or in spring!
Thank you brother 🙏😁 hell yeah I hope you get it 😅
Love this. Definitely added to my list of mods down the road
Hell yes 💪
I would have liked to her rolling tho 😕. Maybe a couple quick stops on those Nittos.
Dang it… missed opportunity 🥲
Omg 😳 Bro I’m Just Now Finding Out About These.
Welcome 😈
I would not bleed the brake with the pedal. The car will freak out. You will a Power Bleeder that connect to the brake reservoir.
There is nothing wrong with using the old school method. I’ve done it on a bunch of explorers and never a single issue. I try my best to do my install videos with everyday tools that 90% of people will have without spending a bunch of money on a tool they will use onetime.
@@HoustonSpeedFreaks I upgrade my front to the Street Package. That the day I called you and told you my was freaking out. Had to use Forscan reset the brakes. Still waiting to do the rear.
@Stone177 I unplug the battery when I do the brakes and it seems to work in not letting it freak the system out.
Where can you get those caliper adaptors
Mofo Speed is the company that makes them
I can't find the MoFo Speed brackets when i use google. Do you have the site or phone number?
Wtf did i do wring i did everything in the video exactly the same and i ended up with 4 extra 7mm bolts
Probably forgot to put them back in one of your trim pieces
@HoustonSpeedFreaks I put back 2 10mm on the inside then 4 7mm on each side for the trim then 4 10mm on top holding up the grill
@Jahwigga uh what the heck 😂
Glad I watched this. Was debating gt500 or the Superforged brake kit think I’m going Superforged since it’s straight up bolt on w/ ss brake lines. Thanks Travis keep it up the good work. P.S. nice hickey on the neck 😂 #chupacabra
I’ll be making a super forged brake video as well here soon 😁 and thank you brother 😁 yeah dang vampire got me in my sleep
Let see how you bleed the brakes. Just started watching the video.
Old school method
