Lamest weapon to use ever next to Alucard Shield+Shield Rod combo. People who find it fun to use these two weapons are beyond me.

Farming this for 3 hours any tips?

Good GOD this weapon is so unnecessary!! Don't get me wrong: it's easily one of the coolest weapons in the game and I'm glad it exists, but I personally don't see the need to go for it anymore in any future playthroughs now that I've finally earned it for my first time ever on my current playthrough. There's simply waaaaayyyy too many steps and too much luck involved IN said steps to make it worth any future endeavors to me. The fact that if you want to stand a *slightly* realistic chance of getting it, you need the Duplicator a.k.a. you have to have at least one cleared file on the same memory card ALONE would already put me off if I hadn't already had one. I've beaten this game many times before without the Crissaegrim and I'll continue to do that in the future. I'll hold onto this file because I really love the weapon and worked hard for it, but if I really need a crazy-OP weapon in future playthroughs, I will HAPPILY stick to the Shield Rod and its various game-busting shield partners. They're MUCH easier to obtain and you get them FAAAAR sooner! ------- Before I forget, thank you for posting this video and also thank you to the various people in the comments that posted supplementary info, as I combined what I learned here with things I found on the internet for boosting luck, and that's everything that helped me get the weapon! :D Didn't want you to think I was hating on you or your content, as you were a BIG help!!!

How do you do that ? I'm playing the game and I can't figure out how to do the Special attacks

I don't think this works for the android version of the game

The trick is to not pick up the first relic that appears, go back out and try a few more times.

If you go further down to the next room, there is an area that spawns two schmoos and not one of those scarecrows that will knock you back. It's a bit easier to farm from there.

Literally just tried farming it for 10 minutes, switched to the Alucart set and it dropped within the next minute 😂

Not an easy drop, even with ring of arcana. Not worth the time, only for completionists.

Funny thing, I just beat this (PS1 DIsk on a PS3) and got this shield just casually playing early on the clock tower and could see how great is was. Now I'm playing the Saturn version (w/English translation patch) and I'm like I want this shield ASAP again. I've been farming this for like 3 hours with no luck 😪. But when I do.....

I liked to use all the interesting weapons. Fist of tulkas, jewel knuckles, stone sword, heaven sword, shotel, Alucard sword, rapier, the brand swords, marsil, combat knife, mourneblade, gurthang, muramasa, masamune, etc. There was so much stuff in this game; my favorite game.

I usually get this early game, in the Cathedral, there's a lone Hunting gal in that area that drops this. Early fame it is very OP I usually use it till Crisagram

Is it a special combo (key presses) to get those repeated purple slashes? Eg. Street fighter 2 forward down 45° down then) weapon? Like the teleport fireballs?

Unless for collecting. The only sword you need is crissaegrim

You can back dash much faster by shield cancelling between each dash.

Warebane trash

What's the Werebane good for? Does this do something interesting beside extra damage to "were" creatures? Been playing since '98 and I've never seen it. LoL :)

the only weapon you really need is the Shield Rod in the first place......
