    I guess those resistors on TX and RX lines, working as voltage divider. In this case you can use 5 voltage logic.

    The genuine expensive asus board can work, without you changing the setup to 4x4x4. But the cheaper boards you have to do what you did in the bios.

    FYI, for anyone considering one of these -- I got one -- and ... it works -- but the motherboard is noticably warped on the edges, like curled up and not at all flat. -- Upon rewatching this video I can see the board in the video is a bit warped too -- @31:53 for example. -- Aso the screw terminals do not really line up well with most of my cases -- and there aren't any screw terminals in the center of the board really -- they just crammed so many components in there, and the CPUs so close together that there wasn't space. -- So the build quality is abysmal, but the performance is good so far. I'll come back and update in a month or two, and let y'all know if it's still working. 😅

    It still amazes me they are able to make a profit from these. I get that the chipset, cpu, RAM etc are harvested but... there has to be some/a lot of new parts on a motherboard like that not to mention the manufacturing cost of a multi layer PCB. It's honestly impressive, they must be making a few bucks or they wouldn't do it but the price is incredibly low for what it is.

    I have the zsus board, it wont work without the cmos battery!!!! I was gonna subscribe but you dont want that Zsus to work for some reason, you said in the video you installed the ram they shipped it with yet the zsus you ordered didnt even come with ram so you blatantly lied, you must have stock in the other boards or know who makes the zsus board and you dont like them, you didnt even try to diagnose the board, also the two boards you said are the same are NOT the same, go back and look carefully, even the cmos battery slot is in a different spot.

    I have 2 of these for well over a year now and I have a few advise to get this to last for those cheapo folks like me as these are perfect for a first PC for your kids without breaking the bank. The motherboard is pretty crappy and it you do your research it usually comes with a 2phase VRM with a doubler so it acts like a 4 phase but as you can see on the video the heatsink on it is tiny and if you look at it properly it doesn't even fully cover the VRM's and they are the number one point of failure with these cheap chinese boards and if you look online there is a ton of people with burn't out VRM's for the CPU or the VRM for the memory. First is that you need to replace the thermal pads with one from Gelid those GC-extreme pads are cheap for a 2-5$ they will drop the temps of the VRM's by about 10-15C getting a slightly thicker one like 1mm or 1.5mm should help improve contact due to the increased tension with the spring you will also need to a small heatsink for the memory VRM which is on the side along with the power connector as that thing gets hot as in it gets over a hundred c hot a small heatsink from the heatsink kit for a raspberry pi should fit fine the one for RAM you can get them easily online. Another thing you could do to help improve things is by not getting a tower cooler what you need is a down flow cooler like the original X99 cooler from intel that has a copper insert in the middle you could also get a chinese knock off of that cooler which works just as fine it will give air flow to the VRM's which would help drop their temps even more.

      @rastislavledaj3110 День назад

      In fact it does not matter how many doublers are following MOSFETs. They might act as 2 phase but at the end what matters is number of coils and capacitors at the end of supply channels. To use CPU with more cores than number of the supply channels is just stupid idea. Those boards will be in fact able reliably manage CPUs with 6 cores max.

    This can be a problem if the enterprise PoE was there for good reason. If you wanted this to work in an office that had VoIP phones for instance, the Pi would have to also be the source of PoE for the target. Some LLDP (or CDP) bridging/spoofing work would also be needed from the Pi, or the target PoE device may end up on the wrong network.
