Haha I like that 106 series. I sold the sub tank and all its wiring as the JDM car didn’t have a sub tank and it looked like a nightmare to try retrofit it out of the 105, Ended up buying a long range main tank so got the same fuel capacity as standard main and sub

@onstreetgarage ah nice work, it was more for a outdoing Toyota at their own game by adding a subtank to a 101, but you have well outdone that anyways by slipping a 105 chassis under it. Looking forward to the next vid mate.

@79series I did consider going down that path but decided the long range tank was probably better. Means all the weight sits in between the axles and I have a bunch of space to mount a water tank and potentially compressor up the back

Massive relief to get to this stage. Now a couple relaxing days just tying up loose ends

I’ve bought a fair bit of stuff from Japan in the past. I might even put a video together showing a few different ways to show the different options. Mostly buy off yahoo, crooober etc and there’s a couple different shipping methods I might show comparisons

Yeah I’m very happy with it. I’ve just got it up for the drive home. Once it’s back home I’ll get it painted, I’ve picked a colour and hopefully will get it home later this week

@@onstreetgarage great Im trying to to get it where I feel comfortable going offroad. (Rusty things in the rainy bad weather of switzerland) It is capable, but it needs some love. And its not really legal here so i have to make it comfortable on the highway as well to get to countries where it is legal to take it offroad. The closest destinations are albania or maybe Marocco.

I’m scraping any spare minute I can to get it going now mate so keen. Yeah I have some adhesive foam to seal between radiator. I didn’t in my 1hz 105 and it made a noticeable difference. Something exclusive for the fte 105 is a great idea! My Mrs is working on some designs for me so might try sort out some limited runs for hats/shirts and see how we go. Cheers Craig!

Haha thanks! You can still buy them brand new they’re just super expensive. These ones were up on yahoo auctions in Japan, they trial fitted them, didn’t like them and sold them for almost half price 😂. Thanks mate can’t go wrong with a well setup 105!

Yep 100% that’s the way I’d go. The 1FZ is a great engine just super thirsty. Can’t go back once you get a 105 mate 😂

@@onstreetgarage cheers for the advice. just test drove a 1hz and was really quite sluggish which is fine but just didn’t seem usable as a daily. Cheers mate!

@jethrosallmann yeah they’re pretty slow, even once I had mine optimized, it drove good as a daily but still a punish on the highway and when loaded up

Man Kento is a good guy, why were you suprised? He flew to Perth from Sydney, stayed with us the whole week 😂. Thanks man I’m loving how it look, I didn’t need to change the sump as I have plenty of clearance, I think it’s due to the flipped arms and a decent diff push but will probably change it down the track either way for peace of mind.

Thank mate! Good things take time right?? I haven’t decided on an ecu yet but it’s definitely on the cards and the boostec looks pretty impressive. Whatever path I go down I’ll explain why I choose what I choose.

Just need to know the right people. Auctions are way cheaper and a lot of brokers are lazy and don’t want to spend the time looking for good cars that aren’t ridiculously priced. Speak to scott at nippon2u (search him up on Facebook) Tell him I sent you he’ll take care of you 😊👍🏼
