It’s a lesson I’d been told before but still decided I had to find out the hard way 😂. I suppose the good thing is I’ve learned a lot about the car which should serve me well when out on adventures
@@onstreetgarage sometimes we are better off by learning anyway. And hey, not only do you know the car now. But you will also have a better understanding if you ever have breakdowns. I think it's all part of the fun as well.
I got a 105 1hz had it for 5 years now.... paid 12k for it spent 12k on rebuild, and 10k in rust removal in this time im about 40k into it..... has it ever broken down? Not once! 380,000kms on it and has never let me down! Sure spending this amount of money on a 20yo car in some minds is insane..... But for me it ticks all the boxes, reliable, all the room i need, gets me there and back everytime! Can take me anywhere i point the wheels and its a beautiful car to drive. You just got to ask yourself do you love it?? And also 40k for a very reliable cruiser that lots of people want is alot cheaper then the new ones!! 5 years 40k in now just servicing and fixing things breaking from age next 5 years i will see the profits. Absolutely love my 105!!
Hey Alex, I’m deciding whether to go with a standard double DIN stereo or the eBay one you have. Is the sound quality and wattage comparable? Any regrets on the system you bought? Cheers
Hey mate no regrets at all. I put one in my work truck too: sound quality is good, brand name stuff is a little better but still an improvement on stock. It’s a bit slow to connect sometimes but overall I would highly recommend it
Thanks mate, this is the one in pretty sure www.ebay.com.au/itm/134359674333?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=9d79fbv5sqo&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=y1Hg0HlMRW-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Thanks mate! I gave them a good clean out with some degreaser and a brush, then pumped a little bit of grease I to the hinges and the door closer/softener then a light spray of inox over the top to keep it all protected

As a mechanic with extensive experience working on Toyota's. Well said, mate. Great advice.

That list at 8.mins is pretty much a given for any solid axle vehicle from 1990- 2006 ish. Just part of the fun of owning an older vehicle
Yeah I agree, stuff worth checking if you’re buying one as it can be a couple thousand you may or may not be up for if the seller has done it.
Hey mate if you look in the JRP instructions there is a way to zero out the boost sensor so it reads 0 at idle
Thanks mate I’ll check that out. I’m guessing my readings otherwise are accurate?
What else did you have to change to get the 100 series headlights and grille to fit nicely mate ?
Love the floor mats, what brand are they?
Hey mate thanks, they came from AUSgo
Love it man!! Where did you get the tail lights from???

Thanks mate! I gave them a good clean out with some degreaser and a brush, then pumped a little bit of grease I to the hinges and the door closer/softener then a light spray of inox over the top to keep it all protected

The bracket came with the seat. looks like a factory bracket made tosuit the recaro
Hey mate, do you have a video of the JRP multi gauge install?
Hey mate I don’t. I might do an install vid on the cab swap when the time comes though 👍🏼
@@onstreetgarage ok cheers, do you know if they would work on the 100 fte.
@@antz2556 yep they will work and I’ll be installing one once I do the fte swap. Will do a step by step 👍🏼👍🏼
Where did you get the foam in front of radiator from? I got to do the same
Gday Ross, straight from bunnings, it’s adhesive on one side too so once it’s in it stays in place. I’ll try and find the actual product link for ya
From memory it was this stuff doubled up.
