Kiwis On The Go
Новая Зеландия
Добавлен 5 янв 2018
We're Neil and Renee, a couple of middle-aged empty nesters from New Zealand who love to travel. We try our hand at motorhoming through Europe and the UK then head to Asia. The original plan was to travel for a year then head back to normal life but it turns out the travel bug has well and truly bitten us! Follow us as we travel the world and we'll also show life back in NZ. We'll share where we go and also how we do it plus what it all cost. We like to travel on a budget but that doesn't mean missing out on things! So come along and share the adventure.

KERALA BACKWATERS

Our travel plans (like everyone else) are now on hold as we lockdown here in New Zealand. Who knows when we will get to see the world again but in the meantime we still have a few more videos from our trip to India and Malaysia at the end of last year. Kerala was one of our favourite places in India and the backwaters around Alleppey were beautiful. Take care everyone.

INDIA: WHAT DID WE LEARN? WHAT DID WE SPEND?
All this smiles are fake and evil, they do smile at you to just lure you into their scam shop to rob ans overprice you. Horrendous country, disgusting and miserable people and horrible shameless animalistic culture.
🙏
Thank you for the video! We are travelling to Milford Sound this coming August and am having a little anxiety about road conditions. It really helps to have a 'preview'! Question: could you let me know the name of the campsite you stayed at in the video?
Oh, someone else asked, thanks anyhoo!
Hey there, loved watching this vlog. I am visiting with a few friends next week. We have a compact suv, we are contemplating leaving queenstown around 5:30 am to make our cruise at 11. Is it safe to drive or just get a coach.
Nedostaju mi reči kojima bih se osetio dovoljno nadahnut opisati ovu lepotu.Znam , ima u mojim emocijama poprilično nostalgije.Rođen sam i živim u Beogradu no koreni i poreklo mi gledajući ovu čarobnu lepotu , ne daju mi mira kako bih se opustio i do krajnosti zapao u nirvanu.Volio bih još jednom tuda proći sa kolima, zastati i osetiti se delom tih čarobnih predela Hrvatske.OSTANITE ZAUVEK NAJLEPŠI !!!❤❤❤❤😊
Dobrodošli ! 👍❤️🤗
Nice
Oh I miss Kiwi's accent. I bet Norway was like home for you since is so similar to New Zealand as landscape.
My HomeTown ❤ Thanks for video...If you come again Can we meet
Where are you from? Did you have problems with Schengen allowance of 90 days in 180? I presume you are from NZ and need visas
Hi there, we were linked this video from Joe Steele. Obviously a lot has changed since 2019. We are looking at doing what you guys did in 2023. How did you get on registering and insuring the van while you drove around Europe and UK without a UK address? Thanks from Jude
I just stumbled across your video. I had captions on & my phone on silent, just scrolling. Well its so funny. Put it on silent & read the captions. Its hilarious! 😂 Maybe robots dont speak kiwi very well. 😂😍
Hi We are also Kiwi's planning an extended trip. You mentioned your insurance was very reasonable. Could you tell us who your provider was? Jackie and Mike
Just curious, can i pay with my native currency or do i need to go to exchange and pay with Singapore Dollar???
Great 😄. Thanks for sharing 👍

Wow, lovely 😊

Stone towers are basically a mindfulness exercise.. Find balance within and outside at the same time 😉
kia ora.I lived in New zealand for 11 yrs and recently moved to Melbourne. I took my parents around south island back in 2018. we did around 3500kms over a month including able tasman walk, skydive, west coast glaciers etc. it was great trip. your accent and way of explaining things makes me bit nostalgic. we had great banters with some mid aged folks around south island( most of them were airbnb hosts). your video is very informative, i am planning 2 month motorhome in europe at some point. Thanks for breaking down the costs and very informative video again. Haere ra, Ka kite ano
Thanks for posting. Interesting.
straight on point no clickbait great video
Shame you drove straight past all the most beautiful sights. Never take the main roads when in Norway.
Wow £1.23. the good old days
Zakopane is like the Polish Queenstown. Only we have oscypki instead of Fergburger ;)
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Hi guys, I know it’s been a while since your trip but was just wondering was it alway your plan to buy a motor home before you left NZ? If so what came first lining up a shipping forward company and deciding the size, price new vs second hand and then travelling to UK and finding one? Or did you find one and then engage a shipping company to figure out the costs etc. I’ve been looking at the idea but I’m just not sure how difficult it will be to line everything up given we have to travel there to get the deal done. Any advice would be great 😊
How about maintenance costs of your car? How about insurance? How about vehicle tax? Could you update us on that as well?
Hi, very nice video, my wife and I enjoyed very much. Thank you for your time on making it. Could you please let me know the dealer who sold you this vehicle in the UK? Many thanks.
I love freedom .
Aside from being lies, propaganda and treason this was a very interesting video, interesting too that you were permitted entrance without supervision, it seems discipline has fallen rather lax in my absence
Wondering why you didn’t go to Egypt in your Motorhome? ( might be a stupid question, sorry)
sweet as, bruh
What name of cruise please
Are you guys doing any more videos?
How much was the motor home ?
That yellow sign for the military at 08:30 is information for tank crews and other heavy military transport. The numbers indicate a formula that is called "military load classification". Here vehicles ( on tracks or wheels) can cross the bridge single file up to a load that falls under that MLC 80 category and if they come from both sides (or go over the bridge parallely) they must not exceed MLC 30. Basically the numbers are metric tons but as the weight distribution ( number of axis, wheels or tracks) play a role as well, the actual weight might differ. Those signs are only to be found in the (formerly) western part of Germany and they are not demanded anymore. Maybe that they will have gone within the oncoming years.
Watch out for bridges across major roads that have vegetation on top. They are for wild animals. Not only are accidents with wild boar, deer and stags reduced by that but it has a positive effect on the gene pool of wildlife when the animals can follow their thousands of years old instincts and are not fenced in by dangerous roads.
May I ask how much it cost?
Welcom to kerala mam..
That was me 😱😱
666 Euro in toll costs you say? Yeah, toll in Scandinavia is pure evil!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! So practical and useful information to consider when we want to travel in Europe by purchasing a brand new one, travel and ship back home. Can I please ask if you can leave the motorhome in Europe while you travel back and forth from NZ, and only ship your motorhome from UK after you are satisfied with all your in depth travel in Europe? Can you still reclaim your VAT this way? Or do you have to ship it back as soon as you fly back from Europe?
Thanks for your information, if i got many cash, i will make my neuron and muscle more comfortable, be happy, your life got difficult at the past. 🌐❤️
Aaawww I love that you found the grave of your great great grandfather such an experience probably
It was a great find - the joys of travelling!
Your doing a brilliant job of reviews of living staying in a motorhome. We all want to see everything you do from getting up to making your bed and everything you have to do, inc costs 😀 Your brilliant and should do very well from RUclips 😀💵💵💵💵
Thanks! We loved our motorhome travels and hope to do it all again in the not too distant future.
Thanks, liked and subbed , just retired from uk and on my own , going to get a round the world air ticket for 12 months then buy a small van conversion and travel around the uk and the continent. Appreciated.
Thanks, Norm. I love the sound of your plan. We would happily do it all again when the world opens up more. Cheers and good luck.
Home, sweet home...miss it.
We loved it. We hope to go back some day soon.
We are really enjoying your blogs. Have been to many of your European places that found their way into our hearts. Now planning the purchase of a Motorhome in the UK for a 6 month sojourn in Europe (warm places) in 2024. You have inspired us. We too will bring our MH home. So keep the clips coming! It allows us to get through miserable winter weekends. Nolan and Lorraine Waimate
Thanks for watching and for the kind comments. We'd love to do it again as well - we also have our eye on 2024. Hopefully things are a bit more 'normal' by then. Best of luck with your adventures and stay in touch.
Hi Neil and Renee, have really enjoyed trolling through your vlogs and looking forward to the world reopening! We have both Vietnam and India being on our travel list... just wondering if you planned this trip to India and booked before leaving OR got there and winged it in the usual kiwi way? We tend to just head in a direction and pick hotels as we drive into a town but not having done India before just wonder if this is a possibility?
Hi Phillip thanks for your comments. We booked most of this before we left as we were on a bit of tight schedule although a couple of places we booked just a few days before we got there. You could just turn up in places although we liked to know where were were going to be staying a bit in advance as you don't always know what you're going to find! We're hoping the world opens up again soon as well! Cheers
