Cringe culture. 99% of stuff on utube commentary is just cringe culture, trying to cast something as terrible so they and the audience can feel superior to quell their anxieties. So, the best longform video essay I've ever had the pleasure of watching was The Bread Circus' 12 hour Phantom Menace breakdown. It was the most constructive, uplifting piece of media I think I've ever consumed, and I learned a lot. My point being, more constructive longform videos can 100% be entertaining and fun to watch :D

This fits if you placed DC Batman into the Marvel Universe and the Marvel Spiderman into the DC Universe. But what if Spiderman originated in the DC Universe and Badman originated in the Marvel Universe? Or alternatively, if the villains originated in the swapped universes? What if story to be honest. You mentioned the comparison between Batman and Ironman. And I agree. However, if they were matched up, who wins would be very deterministic. In a Batman vs Ironman match, my money would be on Ironman. However, if it were Bruce Wayne vs Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne wins, because everything that Batman is comes purely from Bruce Wayne, while everything that Ironman is leaves with the supersuit. So over all, I think if it was one vs the others, who wins is basically a toss up. If Batman is capable of incapacitating the Ironman suit, Batman wins. But if not, then Ironman wins. That's why I have issues with the Death Battle between them. The fact is that the who characters are equally matched in drastically different ways. So it's a toss up who would win, but it's guaranteed that it will not be a stalemate simply because they are equal.

Imho, both heroes are going to heavily struggle, meeting failure after failure at the beginning. It's just their galleries have different methods they aren't really prepared to met. Spidey have more straight-forward enemies, while Batman's are basically finished the moment you've actually got to them, which is, by the way, the main problem. And of course, you could say there are simple brutes in Batman's gallery that are going to be easily knocked out, but the same could be said about Spidey's enemies with easily exploitable weaknesses - Venom, for example. So, Spider-Man is going to meet failures because, basically, he have no one to punch. He is a smart fellow and with a time could somewhat pick up the slack, sublimating with muscle when he can't, but what's done is done. Batman, well, is going to meet somewhat opposite problem - villains actually packing a heavy punch. He'd have to heavily upgrade his gadget game, but considering his new enemies casually wear some wonderful tech, I think he's got a fair shot after a while. As a personal conclusion - both heroes are going to lose if villains are going to bring their best game. They just don't fit. Batman is going to get his ass kicked, while Spider-Man is going to be danced around, entire city being a hostage of an enemy he cannot start to find.

about Scarecrow and Ivy... dont forget Venom and Carnage. Venom attacked Spideys psych many times, letting him face his dear of losing his friends, Family etc... while both Venom and Carnage and Carnage in specific is able to Duplikate himself manytimes. In some cases He didn't even needed a hostbody. So ivy can control plants Yeah and thats ofc dangerous... but carnage tops the Level of difficulty much more... and Scarecrow has his feargas but beyond that he is not stronger or smarter then joker

Rowling coming out as a conservative (on some issues) has been one of the funniest things to ever happen in pop culture/politics. The group of people who made HP their entire identity, had HP references on their signs at all leftist protests, made HP references to every single political issue on Twitter, etc, they had their entire lives upended because of this. Using the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy to discern such reviews from good faith criticism was perfect. You can dislike the trilogy without being a bigot. The bad faith critics have spread the lie that this is impossible in order to keep those clicks and profits flowing. 2. It is LONG overdue for someone to call out bad faith critics for branding a show or film a "DOA woke failure" and then pretending to be a fan all along when the opposite happens. Such behavior proves that they have no integrity. It all about the clicks for these grifters. 3. I love how your essay ended with empowering the audience. Judging a show or film for yourself really is the best way to diminish influence of bad faith critics' influence. I see that your essay stepped on a lot of toes, but stay strong in telling the truth.

One thing to consider is that, when it comes to Venom, he gets the a lot of his powers and strength from being bonded to spiderman. If there is no spiderman then Venom would be less a threat to Batman.

Also imagine the sinister 6 would form while Batman is on duty. I'd say at that point it is definitly game over for Batman.

Well the detective base would actually allow Batman to win, and Peter Parker photos, Bugle investigative reporting, and Batman espionage way of dressing like a Hobo or Crook to learn and gain Intel would be his Spidey sense. Until he can test tactics hands on and use his tactical skill set to retreat...in best tactics he would research best practices or just use data and bat computer to go through every tactical theory and even VR fight them if he had his cave. He would have to hurry as Peter absence and Spiderman may conveniently expose his identity to Parker / Spidey obsessed rogues and leave Batman to detective wise figure out why do these guy want to hurt this old woman (Aunt May) Which would make this an awesome comics crossover series by the way, as Bruce would be more used than bat and in Gotham Spiderman would be more used than Parker, because the rouges would start operating 24/7, and that's a big downside for Batman and stealth in Peters world. Ultimately the Joker would help Peter if it helped get Batman back to Gotham.

Since you have refused to engage with the criticism EFAP did on you, or have a conversation with the hosts (or a friend of the podcast who also found your video to be bad and reached out to you), maybe you’ll appreciate my summary of it in written form. I am not in any way affiliated with the podcast (I do watch it, I suppose), and this is a best effort way to categorize their criticisms. So, for the small stuff : clean up your shelves, and maybe cut out unnecessary breaths during editing, and rerecord a handful of poorly delivered lines. You also didn’t bother to proof watch your video, as evidenced by the replicant-human mixup in the Bladerunner segment. The editing in this video is horrible when it comes to the clips of the people you criticize. It is jarring to listen to something and read the counter simultaneously, especially when you’re thrown into a new clip with no context. These blocs of text limit what you can say without having the text be too tiny (Not that it did stop you from having an awful example of tiny text during the Rey/Mary Sue section), and will generally be much more effective if you elaborate on them. These clips also just annihilate any kind of flow you would want your video to have. Now, onto the arguments : 1) Conformation bias : You do not provide nearly enough context for a neutral audience to conclude the clips are evidence of the thing you claim they are. Noone watching who likes, say Literature Devil, will ever come away from this video thinking “Oh god, I’ve been lied to by an evil grifter” and, if anything, will be upset with you for how you’ve framed his reasonable statements as examples of dishonesty. You’ve decided that what he says are lies as opposed to biases or mistakes, which is pretty bad faith of you. The only people that will come away from these clips seeing them for what you frame them as, are the ones who already think the people in it are evil/ liars/grifters …. Similarly, you claim that these critics never engage with theme in depth and stick to the plot without providing a single example of them doing that. All of this is extremely ironic given you say that the goal of critics is to make their audience reconsider their points of view on the media they criticize, yet here we are … 2) “YOU’RE BOORING” : Or rather, you had nothing original to say throughout the entire video. It went through some of the most common talking points surrounding the discussion that have been around for years (The sequel trilogy, Anita Sarkeesian) if not decades (Bladerunner), rehashing these conversations without adding anything new or interesting to them while simultaneously acting as though you were saying some groundbreaking truths, or ignoring the fact that the arguments you are making have been thoroughly rebuked 5 years ago or more. EFAP didn’t say this, but I would not be surprised to discover that the script was IA generated, it would explain so much : The regurgitated talking points, inability to provide sources or examples of claims, the weird quirks in the system like “replicants not knowing they are humans”, The complete confidence despite missing evidence … and the complete lack of self-awareness … Here we go 3) Lack of self-awareness : to quote one of the guests at 4:39:30 : “This video becomes so much funnier if you add, at the end of every sentence, ‘not me though’”. For example : -“I took a few clips from these channels when they state their opinions, that are correct at best and could easily be argued to be mistakes at worst, but these clips are definitely evidence of bad faith. But not me though, I’m not bad faith” -“These people take things out of context. Not me though, who definitely didn’t spam out of context clips throughout the entire video” -“These people go on random tangents that go nowhere. Not me though. I definitely didn’t go on a random tangent on Bladerunner battling against a strawman, not did I go on an irrelevant tangent on Anita Sarkeesian.”. Btw, please check out their reaction to the tangent at 5:35:30. I unironically cried of laughter. -“These people like to find a boogeyman to blame. Not me though. I definitely didn’t argue primarily against Literature devil as a boogeyman for the wider problem…” -“These people don’t engage in themes. Not me though, whose only engagement with the themes of Bladerunner is to repeat lines from the movie nearly verbatim“ And I did all that while saying ‘the technical details don’t matter’, which is absolutely not more insulting to the ones behind the movie that most things its detractors have ever said against it. All the while unironically arguing that the left needs to misrepresent itself and its opposition to win the political war, because it will lose otherwise. This video reeks of that idea applied to media instead of politics. He also answered destiny’s criticism of philosophy tube with “yeah but her videos are very digestible”, the exact same excuse you gave Anita Sarkeesian.
