I will have to see if I can get Living Single reruns on streaming. I like to go back and watch old shows, especially if I hadn't seen them originally. I enjoyed watching " A Different World" reruns. Also, I think the reason shows like Sanford and Son and Good Times was so popular is because they were based on everyday " Working Class" people, of which was the Largest # of target audiences watching who could Relate to it, no matter what race you are, a lot of the same struggles exist when you are growing up in working class households, but also they pointed out some of the ways racism existed and were experienced by others. I think that is why also " All in the Family" was popular, because it was In your Face, calling out the ridiculousness of " Archie Bunker" racism people could recognize in certain individuals of their own families. I think these shows of the 70'and 80's that I grew up on actually helped our generation " Grow" in pointing out the different Ways racism still existed, so that helped a generation move in the right direction and some people could see themselves in the characters they watched, and putting a mirror image up is always a good way for people to see themselves, both in good ways and bad, in order to change for the better.

It's a shame in the 90's they were still doing this crap to black folks in TV series. They must not have had near as much advertisements for Living Single, because I would have watched it if I knew about it before Friends came along. I grew up watching Good Times and Sanford and Son, but didnt watch as much TV in the late 80'/ early 90's as I was out and about a lot in my 20's and Living Life! LOL. I did not know that Friends was based off of Living Single. They should Not have pit the shows against each other in a Line up. There was room for both shows to exist and do well, so they should have aired it on a different night than Friends. Also, putting them on a different Lot to film the show? That was ridiculous and obvious that some people/ producers, etc.. were still stuck in a racist mindset left over from the 60's/ 70's. I mean they certainly didnt lose $ on the " black" shows from the 70's and 80's, since All households were watching them by then and proved times were changing by the acceptance of the mixed audiences. They should have kept that going with "Living Single". Everyone was watching The Cosby show and Prince of Bel Air and A Different World, so they could NOT say it was due to audience likes/ dislikes. They should have given it its due through advertising and marketing !

There's truly no basis for comparison; I have never been a fan of "Friends." In my opinion, "Living Single" was a far superior show, and it stands out in many ways. While "Friends" focused on a group of six individuals navigating life in Manhattan with a predominantly comedic lens, "Living Single" offered a refreshing perspective by highlighting the close-knit friendships and romantic entanglements of its characters in a vibrant, urban setting. The humor in "Living Single" felt more relatable and grounded, showcasing a diverse ensemble cast that emphasized the importance of community and camaraderie. Hands down, "Living Single" captured the essence of friendship and the challenges of adulthood with a depth and authenticity that "Friends" simply could not match.

Arsenio Hall had a wonderful talk show called The Arsenio Hall Talk Show. He was a great Host. He featured the entertainers and people that the public wanted to see and know about. I still miss this show today.🙏

Here was a man who stood on business. The industry wanted him to bend over, and judging by the characters he played were very serious minded characters, a no-nonsense individual in a way was him. I understood from folks who'd worked with him in all,he was a great person to work with. I am so happy to have known you through your work. Rip sir, job well done. Might have actually been better for Curry to have been with ILC, given that most of them went on to have multiple gigs on the silver screen. Not only that, they all looked out for each other as they moved up together. If you want to go far, as they say.
