    Where is the heater drain?

    • @Pen_Pusher
      @Pen_Pusher День назад

      The heater core doesn't have its own drain. The coolant just cycles through it when you turn the heat on inside your vehicle. To drain the heater core you have to remove the hose connected to it. See the video on a heater core flush: ruclips.net/video/FpCF1jTA0F8/видео.html

    • @Pen_Pusher
      @Pen_Pusher День назад

      Hi Harris, the photo at 1:31 shows you the inside of the headlight housing. If your bulb lies inside this part you should be able to reach easy enough. If your bulb is located beyond this part in the glass enclosure, then you have a different problem. You will probably need to remove the whole headlight to get it out.

    Once you remove that outer cover and reach your hand in the hole, how many lightbulbs could you access from this hole? I feel like we are able to access the bulb that would be the highbeam, but I don’t think we reached low enough for the daytime running late. Could that be the case?

We were able to pull the subassembly far enough forward to finagle the alternate under the AC hose and up the cooling fans without breaking anything. the alternator went down the fan and under the AC hose easier than it came out. Interesting that you watch a video on replacing a timing belt and then ask the question of whether you need to. I am curious how that came about?

    There are coolant lines going all the way to the back on the vehicle (heating radiator by left rear wheel). This gets a fraction of the total coolant. To test - drain. Then measure how much came out. Then note the system capacity (11 quarts). Something is better than nothing I guess!
