The three series of videos with bumper removal, service mode, and alternator removal showed me what I needed to know to do this myself. Very informative. We didn't have to drain the coolant. We were able to pull the subassembly far enough forward to finagle the alternate under the AC hose and up the cooling fans without breaking anything. the alternator went down the fan and under the AC hose easier than it came out. We also changed the tensioner pulley and belt while we were in there. Thanks for the great videos!
Unfortunately there is not enough space to squeeze it out. Your only options are 1) service mode and go in from the top, or 2) remove the AC compressor and go in from the bottom. :)
@@Pen_Pusher concur. that's why we searched for an alternate method. We tried to remove the pulley, which would have been easy enough following another RUclips producer, but the tool we rented was a different style and was too long. This is THE way go. Took us about 4 hours.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the reason I make these videos!
I'm doing exactly that right now!
Best angles, talking clearly, we can see what’s you are talking about. Best video on changing an alternator for this car I could find. Thank you man!
Thanks for the encouragement Chris!
Nice video , well explained
Glad you liked it! :)
Nice video
Where did you get the alternator can you put a link
Sure. I think most auto-parts stores can get it for you. I got it from: partsavatar.ca
Do you have to put it in service mode or can you squeeze it out without removing front end?
