I don't think it's clear Scally was benched. It was 3-1 when Scally was taken out for Lainer. They often put Lainer in when they want to take more risks for more offense. It backfired this time, as Lainer was even responsible for one of the goals. We'll see this weekend if Scally is back in the starting lineup.

Another good video gents. Little surprised you didn’t mention it, but it has to be a major stock down for John Tolkin. The Holstein Kiel fans have already turned against him based on some past social media activity of his, and he hasn’t even played yet. Regardless of how you feel about his activity, his apology, etc, it’s a huge distraction for him and makes having early success a real challenge for him. I hope he’s able to repair the rift with the Kiel fans.

I appreciate you guys covering this camp with a little bit of positivity. Yes, a vast majority of these players will never make the A team, but it's still an opportunity for them to fulfill their dreams of representing the US, and who knows, maybe we'll discover some depth pieces here. RUclipsrs like Tac Manager and 11 Yanks have been so negative about this camp. As fans, we should try and raise our boys up, not bring them down. For all we know, Jack Mcglynn might come on as a sub in the 2026 WC and score the game winning goal with that beautiful left foot of his!

Will Matko end up getting a call up in March? That seems scary. I hope not.

Good video and thought the analysis was pretty on-point. McGlynn and Agyemang were the stars of the show in my opinion… ie the ones who shined enough to warrant some attention for future call-ups. Definitely not onboard for the Matko call up in the first place. His goal was nice, but the PK was atrocious. But him robbing Luna of playing time is the real travesty… hopefully Luna starts next game. I agree with you both that the biggest takeaway was the coaching. Our guys were prepared, they looked more cohesive, and that’s with around 16-18 players who never had been coached by Poch and his coaching staff… and that’s what is telling to me. Entirely new set of guys, and they looked cohesive and as organized as if it was the first-team guys (not as much talent, but with similar quality of organization). Great stuff! 👏🏽

How did the usmnt u-20 do?

This game really solidified it for me that Shaq Moore and Robinson have nothing to offer. I thought Campbell was at least as good as the other defenders, and was trying to pick out some deep passes. His young age is a plus too. I’m still not sure what some commentators/former players see in Robinson and Shaq Moore.

Braden I totally agree - was a bit sorry that Madman Matko scored, as that will give Poch the rope to keep bringing him. Also, I'll admit I don't watch much MLS so maybe it is unfair to give a hot take on Cremaschi on just one game watched, but I am really not impressed with him. He's like a poor man's Brendan Aaronson.

If it was mainly Poch, why was the US totally dysfunctional at Mexico w/ a B+ team? That reinforces it was more willing & able press-resistant players like Guti & McGlynn + a better target as a CF than Sargent in Agyemang. The Guti analysis is shockingly bad too. He was the most important, impressive player in this game, back to goal, advancing the ball. They couldn't do it w/ him out & McGlynn + Clark in. Clark bombed at it. Terrible takes as always about the cb vets too.

I'm sitting here watching Noahkai Banks play strong minutes for Augsburg, getting clearances, and looking like he totally belongs. Long way to go but IMO Banks is going to be a USMNT player soon. Haha and like every other comment I leave I'll include I'm a big proponent of a Banks/Wynder future pairing. Hope Wynder gets a shot with the A team next season.

Yea. I think how we lose also matters. 1 off matches, bad luck can happen. The expectation should be to win both but I can see us losing both regional tournaments.

Matt Turner might be dropped as the starter but if he is not hurt there is no way you don't have him as one of the keepers with his experience.

We have always underachieved with our youth teams. They were saying our U20's could do something at the last U20 World Cup, and our U23's could do something at the Olympics and it has always fizzled out. I hope our U17's could do something but, it's hard.

My prediction for 2025 is that Musah ends the year with 4 or less goals & assists total for Milan. I really hope he proves me wrong too.

Banks and Wynder are the two prospects I keep up with the most given our need. Both seem like probable contributors IMO. Wynder is really playing well at Benfica B, even netting some goals. All eyes on him breaking in with the first team. Same for Banks. Introducing a pair of tall, athletic, 18 yo CB's for the duration is just what the doctor ordered. I also like Chase. Also like the idea of a club trying Lennard at CB (maybe Tessman too?). And in a worst case scenario, I do like that at least CCV and Trusty have the benefit of playing together and building chemistry.
