I own 2 Porsches, Mercedes and other cars. I traded a loaded BMW 540i MSport for a SQ 4 Ghibli. I love driving the Maserati. The Ghibli is easy to drive and the systems are easy to use. I love the engine and exhaust. I could care less about the infotainment center and switches. I think it's great that I can locally source immaterial parts instead of waiting for them to come from Italy. The Maserati is comparable in fit and finish to the BMW 5. I went with the Maserati because the owner forums for newer E class Mercedes were so negative. All the Maserati owner forums are mostly positive about ownership experience. I think there are bad cars out there and you need to do your homework with inspections and all . The Maseratis after 2017 seem pretty good for engine and transmission. I'm having nothing but fun. So to sum up, its a crappy car for its real price(80k), but if you can get a used car for its half price PLUS if you can ignore all those tons of crappy features for its engine sound and brand value, its fine (which means its a crappy car )

I would never buy a car from a manufacturer who doesn't make their own engines. My friend owned one and the a/c was always going out, pay that kinda money and gotta sweat? My opinion is they're ugly and there's nothing more I need to know. Now Doug reviews a 2015 I believe, so why are you acting as though he missed the blind spot detection? Yours is a 2017 right?

Only thing that bothers me is the shift system. Everything else is fine to cool. 9 out of 10 for a used car.

Wife wanted this car. I had some reservations. I have no complaints. Didn’t pay much for it and it isn’t worth much. Sounds and drives fantastic. Couple little issues and maintenance is crazy, but it is worth it. No more Bavarian cars for me.

Just came home with a 2018 Ghibli SQ4 GranLusso. Beautiful car in 'gregio' (metallic grey / beige). First owner was meticulous. Had every scheduled maintenance service done, and then some. Replaced all brake components twice. I'm using it as a weekend touring car. Sure, the car is a bit of a gas guzzler, but what do you expect with that engine, horsepower, and with the car's overall weight? It's an Italian muscle car with a Ferrari engine... No issue with the AC. It cranks well for me. So far.., loving it.

Why do people pay $500+ for an oil change!??! The Ferrari-spec oil for this car costs about $50. The Maserati brand oil filter is $59. So $109 for materials and that's if you go with the recommended top-tier options! You're really paying a mechanic $400 for 20 minutes of his time? That's $1200 an hour. My Harvard-trained attorney doesn't even charge that much!

It would be great if any of these "total ownership costs" videos just included the price of parts from a supplier and the cost of labor for said parts, rather than "oh I took it to the dealership and they charged a couple grand for this and a couple grand for that".. Using a dealership is not a good price analysis, as their prices are beyond inflated.

Too many ''bumper'' roads, i wonder how you can drive fast a car like this in those roads? I don't know in which state you are but sir every few seconds the car was meeting one of them, that's a torture, no driving pleasure.
