    They are much better than ATs but compared to mud grapplers, it’s not even comparable. And the possible damage to the Jeep is what difference tires can make via prevention. True mud tires require little or no speed - for that, I would bet by doing similar things, no lockers ad crawling up at any speed you wish. They are great in snow. Every off-roader need to try real mud tires at least once.

    They both have their good points. The nice thing about the medal one is that you can twist the sockets to line up what size the socket is. I can speak for expensive sockets but, the cheaper ones never really line up. Meaning, the stamped size and the bottom of the square hardly ever line up. And the medal one can be twisted so you don't have to waste time looking for the socket you need. The plastic ones fit tight so you can pack more sockets on one rail.

    Which is EXACTLY why you dont do an early break in oil change. The break in oil needs time to finish mating all the surfaces in the engine and take out all of the imperfections on all the parts, which continue until the break in period is over. Doing an early first oil change just contaminates the new oil and prevents the motor from being properly broken in.

    Used the Slick Offroad and foam cannon on my 1-ton dually. Not really impressed. I pre-rinsed the truck as you did, foamed it up good, let it sit, rinsed it off with the power washer....but a thin layer of grime still remained. So i had to go over it again by hand with the wash mit and a bucket of dawn and water to get the truck really clean. Don't think i'll buy this product again. Although the foam cannon is kind of cool and will keep that for general use around the farm.

    I do automotive for a living. Bought the Husky 52" in January and it's been great so far. Not sure if I should blame it on thin metal or "lower quality", but one thing I noticed recently is the bigger bottom drawer making contact with the welds on the very bottom of the box. I do have some weight in that drawer but it is not jam packed. I had to remove the drawer and grind off a little bit of the welds (don't remember if it was 2 or 3) so it does not make contact anymore when opening and closing the drawer

    you dont run these tires at a low psi, theyre meant to drive on the center section at a higher psi 36-38. theyre a domed tire.

    • @JsGarage
      @JsGarage 3 месяца назад

      Just because lite brite said air them up all the way doesn’t mean that’s how you should run them. You run them at the pressure suitable for the weight of the vehicle using a load/pressure table. They initially went wrong because they used a chaulk method to make the whole surface of the tire contact the road which was too low. Then they came back with saying air them up all the way. Really the ideal result was in between that. A load/pressure table should be used for any vehicle that has a factory tire pressure sticker usually located in the door jam. This helps you calculate the correct pressure for your vehicle.

    I just changed the front lower control arms (with bushings and ball joints already installed) , struts, outer tie rod ends, and sway bar links on my 4th Gen Ram 1500 with 200k, I last changed shocks at 100k, and damn this time was so frustrating. The shock foot bolt was seized, and the lower control arm bolt to the frame was seized as well. Had to cut them off, but After I installed it all, I took it to get an alignment and all is well now, Rides just like new. I did the rear shocks, but now I have to do the rear springs.

    Thanks again to GlueTread for providing me a kit to review. They also provided me with an important note that I would love to pass on to my viewers. When grinding down areas of the tire use a lower speed method that doesn't cause high heat and smoke. This changes the effectiveness of the glue bond. I will likely explore this more in the future.

    One thing to consider when purchasing a surface cleaner is it needs to match the gallons per minute the pump delivers, generally 1 gallon per minute delivered equals 4" of bar length for optimised cleaning, so a 20" ideally wants a 5 gallon per minute pump delivery.
