Chase Grubbs
Добавлен 28 июл 2012
I am blessed to travel all over the country hunting game animals and my production skills allow me the privilege of bringing you along. You will find great hunts, how to videos, and conservation content. This channel will always be fair chase!
Growing up in Farmville, VA I roamed across my family’s farm fueling my passion for the outdoors. After graduating from undergrad at Virginia Tech an opportunity with Midwest Whitetail presented itself, I moved to Iowa, and I haven’t looked back. In the last 4 hunting seasons, I’ve managed to shoot 3 booner bucks and film three more for Midwest Whitetail as an intern. I got my start in the outdoor industry under the great Bill Winke and then continued to advance my career in the outdoor space at Turkeys For Tomorrow. Now I find myself living day to day life outside of the outdoor industry and striving to set myself apart all while developing my hunting, videography, and production skills.

Interior food plots are hands down the best thing you can do to improve your deer sightings while hunting and the resale value of your property. These staging area plots, also known as kill plots, are the last place deer will be on their feet in daylight before going to their nearby bedding areas in the mornings and the first place they will be on their feet when they leave their bedding in the evenings. Typically these plots are designed to be less than 1 acre!
There are two ways to make these hidey-hole plots. You can either carve them out of the woods with big equipment (as you'll see in this episode) ...

All lies.
Killer plot man!
The next time I get back home to work on the farm I’ll be sure to include some drone shots and a in depth breakdown of what I plant this fall! Thanks for watching Griffin.
Why burn the bush? Why not leave it to the side as cover or screen?
We intend to feather the edge of this plot and create a soft edge of native browse and forbes as the topo falls off into the growing pines. We felt it would be easier to create the edge sooner without excess brush. We did use brush block some trail access points hopefully making this plot easier to hunt. Great question Carston, thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comment Carston! You were selected for our hat giveaway!!! Please dm us on social media or via our websites contact form.
Nice video chase
Thanks for watching Connor!
You’re a BTO in that mini!!
Specializing in retaining wall fill and land clearing 🤙🏻
Virginia was the land of hound hunting lot of people that move here to va don't know so my advice to you if you dont kike dogs stay where you are your better off
Devon, thanks for the comment. Everyone in the video was born and raised in Virginia including myself. We expect our private property to remain private. We are not anti-hunting or transplants to the state.
Congratulations
Thanks for taking the time to check out the hunt and leaving a comment. Please subscribe to the channel!
Good job what gun where you using
John, my shotgun is the Benelli SBE1
Did you say you are from Virginia?
Mike, yes sir, I grew up and went to college in Virginia. Moved to Iowa after college in 2020!
I live in southwest Virginia, we have very good turkey hunting!
Great job dude
Thanks for watching James! I hope you had an enjoyable spring season yourself.
@@Fairchasehunt thank you and yes I did have a good spring season I tagged out 👍
Great job man
Thanks for watching!
Super cool set up. Do you find your self in lay downs more often? I personally like the comfort of the marsh. But not sure what y’all got down there on pub.
Setups vary depending on the turkey, especially using the run and gun style of turkey hunting I prefer. Thanks for watching
Great hunt. Have you ever tried to use a decoy? Seems to be effective in my area?
Never used a turkey decoy in my life Carston, just not my cup of tea. Best of luck with your future hunts! Thanks for watching.
@@Fairchasehunt Cup of tea? Come on. It’s all fair chase. Makes for a fun hunt. I highly recommend. We like to get 5-6 decoys out, a good mix of breeders, jakes, and toms with white heads. Seems to do the trick, especially early season. Let me know if you need any suggestions on decoys.
Great footage as always! Hope you and Dave had some good hunts back East.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment again Steven!
Got him the right way. No decoys, no fanning, no pop up blinds watching a field. Great job.
Thanks for watching the hunt!
Congratulations! Beautiful mature gobbler! 🦃 Nice camera work!
@@rayphillips4514 Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the video and had a great spring
That mail box was shot with bird shot any deer hunter knows that u don’t shoot deer with that😂 all these people in this video are mental
This is the most liberal stuff I have ever seen dude dogs don’t know property lines and we have been doing it for hundreds of years
Hundreds of years, dang bub how old are you? 👴
The use of tracking collars is simply a tool to the hunter. Yes most models are able to tone or shock to stop the chase. But there are lots of times when it just doesn't work. I have seen this not work in the ways it should. When I was young tracking collars was not a possibility for use. I ran dogs with my family and never had any problems with trespassing or retrieve. What changed. I currently hunt with a club that uses dogs to hunt with and not just for deer but other chase seasons as well. But yet all I have heard complaints about is the deer season.
As a guy who lives up north let me make a point! Go TO TSC and buy large rolls of barb wire. Tack the first row 6 inches off the ground and then second row 6 inches above that! And so on. If its legal. Those dogs and hunters should never step on Private Property that you paid for! Yet on the other side.the deer hunters who make money get the golden treatment. So not fair!!! Praying for you guys!
U passed on that buck ur crazyyyyy
Iowa has the wildlife regulations in place that make those decisions easy!
@@Fairchasehunt copy
He is so calm and collective over big sheds here woukd kill to find lol
Thanks for watching! I was super excited to find the match set, but after seeing him on the hoof earlier in the season, picking his antlers up off the ground was not anything to act foolish over
@@Fairchasehunt would be for me hahahaha
We would love to have you and your content on the HUNT360 platform, hit us up if you want to chat about it!!
Thank you for watching, but I prefer to keep all my content on my own channel and socials.
Go join Pita you hippie
Is 8:40 shed the year before the big Match set I see it’s it’s got the curl to it
I don’t believe so, the brows are very different and the tines are not angled the same. Thanks for watching!
I hope she drops that monster this fall. good luck
I would love to see her sitting behind him this upcoming fall! Thanks for dropping a comment.
2:14 Hey pal, the dog I rescued from the spca last year looks exactly like the dog you just manhandled and threw into that cage. You’re a real pos.
Sweet action!!
Thanks for watching. Carpe Diem!
Awesome set!
Looking forward to pursuing him next fall! Thanks for watching!
Nice buck gonna be huge next year
James, thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Keep it up man. You make some great content and can’t wait to watch your channel grow
Thanks for the compliment! I intend to continue posting consistent content this upcoming turkey season to get 1K subs. Good luck this season!!!
Awesome match set! Hope you stub your big toe!
She about stubbed her big toe on that antler 😆
Great video buddy
Thanks for watching!
That matched set will be a super buck to chase next year. Only chase Grubbs can find a spike matched set. That's what hunting most of your life in Virginia prepares you for. You got skills.
Top find of shed season ‘24 is the matched spike buck. Thanks for watching!
Keep getting her outdoors, some of the best time spent together! Congrats on the giant matched set!
Thanks for watching! I think we can catch up with that buck this fall.
"Your rattling antlers for next year" That got me!!! Good video bud.
Glad you enjoyed it buddy, turkey content coming soon!
I almost thought he was serious 😅
35 miles and no luck here in Wisconsin , definitely not my luckiest year.
We found a whole bunch in February but it’s time to start thinking turkeys!
Nice!!! One under every rock in Iowa!!
@jackmasters9953 Iowa is one of the best states for a whitetail-obsessed hunter to set up shop!
Would’ve been a heck of a battle. Awesome pics man! Did you head to the deer classic this past weekend?
You got that right 🤝🏻 I did visit the classic for the first time ever on Sunday. Huge bucks and a great time, plus I got to talk hunting with a lot of industry buddies. Did you attend?
Great horned owls grab a lot more turkeys off the limb than people give them credit for; super cool trail cam pictures! I bet that juvenile red tailed hawk had a struggle if he did connect on that hen.
No doubt, wild turkeys have a lot of animals after them. Including more efficient turkey hunters, especially with the products available today. I can see why numbers are in decline across the country. Thanks for watching!
What the fuck is a rub?
Mature bucks often rub large trees with their antlers, and these rubs are often referred to as “signposts”. Some rubs are revisited each year.
So thats what the name of that is. I don't hunt but ill run around in the forest and just grab antlers if i find em
Welcome to shed hunting 🤝
Are those rare
Shed hunting is a great way to get outdoors and gather intel on future target bucks! Finding sheds can be like looking for needles in a haystack, but it helps when you know where to look!
What a joke 😂😂😂
How are your parents this clueless, ignorant and arrogant. They raised you to be this clueless too I reckon. The Grubbs family is guilty of restraining dogs, removing tracking collars, yet you all make this ignorant video trying your damndest to twist the truth. Good God son.
@curtismarion3396 Mr. Marion, this video is reality for thousands of landowners across the Commonwealth and what they experience as their private property rights are constantly trampled on by others in pursuit of a hobby. These landowners may own .5 acre or over 10,000 acres. They may have had ancestors on the Mayflower or just walked across the border. Either way they now own private property in the United States and regardless of size or length of ownership they have the fundamental right to exclude others including others personal property per the US Constitution. Additionally, FYI, my parents and I do not have a criminal record and your public slander may constitute defamation of character.
@chasegrubbs I didn't say anything about a record, but you KNOW damn well yall detain dogs and remove tracking collars. Your dad is known for it county wide. He has the same reputation of being that guy at the same level the worst of the worst dog runners have their reputation in the county. You talk about how dogs bother target deer, yet yall killed one and put it in the video of how the deer is still there, unbothered. Proving the most recent study done about how dogs effect deer, within 24 hours deer return to their home range in most cases.
You defamed your own character when your parents pull the ignorant shit they do, then you use clips from all over the east coast attempting to make a hunting dog look like a predator of any sorts. Stick to making videos in the midwest shooting trophies, it's alot more believable.
@SCP_BrightAlt that means deer should be able to read posted signs as well. My dogs stay where they're intended unless they're chasing deer. And when they do cross property lines I'm working to tone their collars to get them back where they belong. See the biggest misconception alot of uninformed ignorant folks think we want our dogs where they're not wanted. That's a false narrative being pushed buy this fool and his ignorant family along with alot of crybaby transplants across our state.
@SCP_BrightAlt the misinformed always feet like saying something. Regardless of how ignorant it may seem.
You people are the reason this country is going down the drain. Please move back to the city and stay there. I really hope your mission fails.
Curious, you claim to want to address the problem but only allow one side to present their side. You take that from the Jan6 inquiry ? Nothing from Hunters, Nothing from DGIF? You simply made a hit piece for your supporters.
I believe he did let the other side present, he presented, "It's none of your fing business." By the way the dogger's boots appear to be merely slipped on, wouldn't that make venturing away from the truck or catching a dog difficult at best? This video is not a hunting video, it is about private property rights. It's not about interactions between people at a public park. It is about trespassing on posted private property either by person or the person's agent AKA the dog and the damage it is currently causing. Plus, you have to remember the elephant in the room, private property rights are a fundamental part of the US Constitution so the other side's position isn't really relevant. However, if you do want to take issue with only presenting one side or point to an argument, lets take a deep dive into dog ownership and the dog's contribution to its care. A dog tethered to a chain cannot provide its own shelter from the elements, get its own food or water, or provide its own vet care so constantly spouting a dog can't read is only presenting one shortcoming. In reality, all these items fall under the owner's responsibility including staying where the owner and dog have permission to be.
I’m sure an interview with the dog hunters would have been really meaningful. Would have just said “dogs can’t read signs” and “it’s my tradition” over and over again
People buy a hunting license to hunt and the state is supposed to use that money to buy more public hunting areas for people to hunt on. These states take that money and waste it on other things? It leaves nowhere for hunting except near private land. There should be more land purchased for public hunting each year in each county to provide a place for hunters who are paying the state in order to hunt
I know dogs cant stop at property lines. So thats never gonna be fixed. Its a few clips saying they can but a hunter cant ve everywhere to stop the chase. Half cant hit the deer they shoot at to even stop it. It does really suck cause these hounds go in and end up running deer out then getting shot. I use to enjoy hound hunting but the road hunting and disrespect have just gotten out of hand. Gps has made hunters lazy. Constantly watching a screen. Instead of out the truck in the woods listening. Hound hunting back in the 80-90s is way different from now. Thats when it was actually hunting. Now its loke a video game for people that cant get out of a truck or want to shoot in middle of a road.
Great buck and impressive that you let him walk to see if its his full potential most people probably would have been over tempted to shoot lol...see what he is next year! the hunt was a success in my opinion you had him dead to right.
Got to let ‘em go to let ‘em grow. Bet on the animal to make it one more year. Can’t harvest a 200” deer if you shoot it at 175”. Thanks for watching!
