Ten kilos down hunger down mood swings down fatigue gone . Ate beef chicken fish fats blue and cheddar cheese berries salads eggs bone broth and intermittent fasted except the week right before my period and ate keto ice cream for desert when i craved it and decaf coffee with stevia . First two weeks felt like crap . But my body adjusted. I eat two meals a day and the coffee is with my first meal. If i wanna snack i eat three spoons of feta or an egg or a can of tuna or can of sardines. Another snack : yogurt with stevia vanilla extract and strawberry and blue berry and some chia seeds. Very filling. Very protien . I also eat tofu sometimes with veggies stir fried . 6' tall late thirties female not very active weighed 100 kgs , now weigh 90 and stayed at 90 for three months without struggling. Working tiwards loosing another 10. I lost no muscle mass at all in the process. Insulin resistance caused me constant fatigue and brain fog and fibromyalgia it was horrible.
Notice those speaking negative about it don't have weight issues. Ask those who actually use it and see what they think.
But how come all Fruitarians are super skinny.?

I haven’t had any of these symptoms on semaglutide and most people do not if one actually looks at the statistics. The dishonesty here of trying to make all these side effects and especially the extreme ones seem the norm is absolutely disgusting and intellectually dishonest. No scientist trusts short term studies - nothing profound in that. Is it because of BYU culture? Blocking this channel.

Some of these were new to me though thankfully I rarely would eat them...Yes years ago it was all low fat foods courtesy mainly of Rosemary Conley, lovely lady but so wrong....I don't touch anything that says low fat or diet or those horrendous 'no added sugar' squashes which people give to their children thinking they're making a healthy choice😯

The fatty liver needs to be addressed first. Keto or carnivore won't work with a fatty liver. Even a low insulin diet can get over that hurdle.
I couldn't concentrate on the video because I was too busy trying to work out where I recognised Steve from. It was BUGGING me but I got there in the end 😂
Carnivore diet has worked out well for me which keeps me full all day and has provided the additional protein needed at my advance age.

I think what’s interesting with insulin resistance is that often you are suffering from low blood sugar because your body is releasing too much insulin since it has poor homeostatic control around insulin. Your A1C may actually be low but have sky high fasting insulin.
16:03 this sounds similar to Dr. Sarno in the 80’s and 90’s re: chronic pain. He was so ahead of the game! Now, we are seeing proven out in the literature, the undeniable connection between our brains’ emotional centers and the intensity and frequency of chronic pain syndromes.

This information is all well and good if one is healthy to begin with. However, if one is on Blood Pressure medication like Beta-Blockers or ARB's then this Insulin will not move, as one's sugar/insulin levels are being controlled/fixed by medication and not the body. But one cannot stop taking the medication, as one's BP will rise. Catch 22 scenario. There are also heart related reasons why some people are on these targeted BP meds.
But if type 2 is too much insulin that is not working, then how does injecting more insulin bring down glucose?

This was touched on, the way many food companies are getting us addicted to their foods is an ingredient listed as "natural flavor(s)". They only have to start off with one natural flavor, but they can add up to 100 chemicals to get us addicted to their food so we'll buy more. I can't believe this is legal, it's outrageous! I avoid foods with this ingredient at all costs.

Its actually sugar contained within foods, mainly processed foods and carbs (esp. refined carbs) which turn into sugar. The fructose (90%) when separated from the fruit ie no fibre will go straight into your visceral fat. The problem is that modern fruit contains much more sugar than in the past, so you have to be careful.

The fibre first? Do you mean in the morning or before every meal and how long before eating meals is fibre taking?

I cannot believe that I’m hearing about fibre😂 being on the list for helping lower carbs. (Only because of my latest experience in loosing weight). I have 30 more pounds to loose and it didn’t come from eating fibre (which made me hungry) it came from eating Ketovore. Cut out all veggies and it’s finally working!! ❤

When I had Covid, I lost my appetite entirely. I hated that feeling. It felt as close to clinical depression as I have ever experienced. A drug that kills my appetite does not sound appealing at all.

HATE IT, the fact that because I am skinny ( but high cholesterol) my endocrinologist put me down for wanting to be on top of my pre diabetes. I started having this problem as I started pero menopause. I am now on HRT taking supplements but my insulin is not where it should be. I wake up with edema in my eyes and face. No Dr is seriously considering any of it. I see an association with high glucose and this. Also blurry vision and interstitial cystitis. Again, because I am low weight and " pre diabetes" no one thinks that I could have these symptoms of an out of hand diabetes. What's going on with me??!!!!
Our insulin cells which get rid of sugar/bad glucose, tell the insulin resistant cells that they are not any more room for them to get rid of the sugar that keeps building up. There for we must find a solution for those cells to keep emptying which is why we must diet and exercise or eat healthy. Is this right?🤔

The fitness industry hates the insulin approach. I believe the insulin approach and the calories in calories out approach can coexist. Intermittent fasting and foods that don't spike your blood sugar is the best approach.
I totally disagree, I crave eggs and meat, with no addiction to carbs. Those like me crave salt not sweets.
