1968 F100 Crew Cab Tear Down and Other Build Updates! Godzilla 7.3 content!!
Can you give me the spec of the wheels and tires front and rear or where I can find them seen them some time back but can’t remember were
Need a new video
i cant believe you would swap that FE out for that! you should be ashamed of yourself
You don't deserve the internet, Ray!
youre a great youtuber i dont care what anyone says
Let's be friends.
Beautiful truck, men
Thanks 👍
Do you remember what you had done with cats/if they were kept or removed and how you dealt with that
Deleted the cats. The old mod motor PCM is a far cry from the newer coyote stuff, so in open loop, it learned well enough to be driven and not have major issue, but typically a tune is required.
What headers are you running I have a 68 with the same engine set up as yours
If memory serves, these were stainless 4wd longtubes that came from ebay.
What headers did u use ?
JBA stainless mid-lengths for an 04 mach 1. Had to massage the passenger side a little bit, but driver side was perfect.
What headers did u use ?
JBA stainless for an 03/04 Mach 1. Cut the ball flanges off and Tig welded V bands for clean/easy disconnect. Passenger side needed quite a bit of massaging to fit. Drivers side was perfect.
Lookes like mine but ive got a flareside clean build love the white grill
Thanks! White and red definitely work well together.
Sweetness! 🤤
It was!
Good thing you were in Mexico for that intro burnout. 😆
What can I say? The truck travels well!!
Did you use a driveshaft spacer for the 3650-->Police driveshaft?
/ who's?
Also stock manifolds and just exhaust?
No spacer on the driveshaft. This is the old setup, but at this time, it was stock manifolds and no cats, into 2.5" stainless exhaust.
Following along. Love the Dentside Fords.
Thanks! I've grown to love them, and glad to have one to tinker with.
@@hueyfabllc4987I’m local to you and have some questions with the 4.6 4v swap I’m doin on my 67. How can I get ahold of you brotha
Man where you been ! Love this channel cause I love f100’s
Life got busy, but I'm back!
Hell yes! Make sure the fuel pump is as close to the tank as possible, they can be problematic when it's hot out and you ask them to pull and push fuel.
Good info! First time I've run an external pump...don't want any issues!
Nice to see you back on YT. I thought you had been abducted 😅
I know, I know. This truck will drive some content, so 2024 will be better!
Great intro and can’t wait to follow the build. I’m still lost on mine so hopefully I can get back on it soon.
Give me a shout if I can help with any questions. This truck is already teaching me some things.
Hey man like your videos on Frank and the Red truck. I got a question., I'm building a 1969 F100 with CV front, I have choice of 3 rear axles - 1998 Explorer non posi drum, 1997 Grand Marquis disc non posi 3.27 gear and 03 mustang gt posi disc brakes 3.73 gear ratio, what rear would you use?
Sorry I missed you on here, but I think we got it on Instagram.
Badass ride man. I’m looking into a 4 door 63 right now.
I just sold this one and picked up another truck.....next video reveal! It was such a great car. Every gas station stop turned into a conversation because everyone loves old sheet metal.
What did you do for cab mounts? Sorry for spamming with questions LOL
Factory cab mounts modified to maintain stock mounting location with the frame cut. Welded on versus riveted.
What did you do for column
Stock column out of a floor shift truck with power steering. Cut the flange off, borgeson joints and collapsible shaft.
Also what did you use for air intake curious how it works with MAF sensor
EFI tank from tanks Inc for a 1970 mustang for fuel tank, stock column with borgeson joints and shaft to connect to the vic rack, and this old setup used the stock 4.6 intake tube and stock maf housing.
Whose external fuel tank did you use?
@f100performance efi mustang tank.
Did you do the manual swap when finishing the truck or was it previously done? If you did it what company did you use? Seen ADTR
I did all of the work. The master cylinder setup us from Silver Sport Transmissions and the slave cylinder is from Modern Driveline. Just a pullout trans from an 03 mach 1.
@@hueyfabllc4987 what did you end up doing for pedals? I saw you Mentioned mustang Pedals but is that as easy as a Facebook marketplace pickup or? I’ve got a 3650 I just picked up but will need a clutch, flywheel etc hence reason for swap kit. Also not 100% if I will need hydraulic clutch pedals or something different
@@ziggy760 I originally hoped to use the mustang pedals, but ended up shortening the stock clutch and brake setup from the truck and adding wilwood pedal pads. Far less fab work and looks/feels great!
@@hueyfabllc4987 gotcha, and then are you running a hydraulic or cable clutch?
@@ziggy760 hydraulic.
What size wheels and tires are on the front?
20x8, 255/35/20.
@@hueyfabllc4987 (Thanks 👍🏾👍🏾)
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Is it possible to do this workout removing the cab from the frame, is there enough room to do that with can bolted down?
Unfortunately no, the cab mounts need to be removed and re installed to make a cut far enough back for the vic trailing arm. Now, if using a different front suspension, it is possible.
Thank god I saved my 67 f259 from turning into an off the shelf lowered lame a$$ truck
Where did you get those twist off wire connectors?
Amazon, but they are Deutsch. Can be found through many vendors. Quality is very good.
Whats the measurements of the line's you marked on the frame. And whats the measurements on the front. Thanks
In this case it was 2.5", but its based on how much you want to lower the truck around the suspension. Anything more than 3" is going to require more sheet metal work to the cab for Driveline clearance.
I want buy those suspension ,where can I get it?
Great video, my friend I just bought the exact same car. The guy who sold it to me was not sure which engine it had now I’ve seen this and I’m pretty sure it’s the 352.
Awesome! I think I'm going to sell this one. Poor thing just sits in storage and it deserves to be driven!
Are those little round mirrors a factory option or something like for a blind spot mirror? My 72 has those and I’ve seen a couple other old bump side Fords with them.
No, these weren't a factory option. I picked these up from Hunters and they're a pretty popular option for got rodders. I think I may swap to door mirrors like factory style, though.
@@hueyfabllc4987 Yeah I hear ya. I can’t see shit out of mine…😂 I have seen a truck with them mounted about mid way down the A pillar… That seems like a Better place for them and it didn’t look bad either. But he also had the small door mirrors and I believe he said he used them for blind spot mirrors.
Brother how much would u charge for a suspension job like franks truck
Nice!!!!Truck . Really nice job on the bed
Thanks 👍Brandon's Dad built the bed and did such an incredible job on it. One of my favorite features of the truck!
Thanks !
You bet!
If you could find (or make) an "E" you could change out the lettering on the hood to "F R E D" :) I might do that as my grandpa, Fred, is the one I rode with as a kid in his trucks! ✌
Ha! That's brilliant. My Papa's name was Fred, as well! Also the reason I love Ford trucks. He was an electrician and always drove Ford.
@@hueyfabllc4987 Yeah, my gpa was an engineer and his company fixed tankers (oil, etc) from China, Russia, etc. All he needed was his truck, pipe (or cigar) and the racing form...simple but amazing man. The truck I have ('68) is in his memory...back when you could ride in the bed!
Can't wait to see your latest project? How about your Galaxies?
I haven't done much on the Galaxie.....actually contemplating putting it up for sale. I need to do a video on the Johnny Cash build still, and should be starting on the crew cab towards the end of summer!
Awesome
Thank you!
💪🇺🇸😎 Truck Sounds Great!
Thanks!!
Just one? Is Frank back together?😂😂💪🏻
For now....😆😆😆😆
Heck Yea!!

Good idea to hang your F100 Take over after dark banner on the ceiling. I won the big one with all the sponsors on it and have been trying to figure out where to put it in the shop!
Thanks! I have so much stored against walls that I thought, "hmmm. Ceiling is pretty blank" 😆
Looks good bro!! Glad to see you all at the show
Thanks bro!! Always good to catch up🤙🤙
Can we get an update on your truck?
Just uploaded!
Do you have a template for crossmember and yes would you sell me one ! Thks
Unfortunately, I do not.
@@hueyfabllc4987 thks justcthe same
Im trying to determine the amount Im zeeing my frame, Im wanting it to sit low (not quite as low as frank sits but close), I purchased all of outcasts rear suspension, but then also got the viking front coilovers that are already lowered from stock crown vic stuff. Have you ever zee'd a truck using coil overs up front? If so how much did you go?
Every truck I've zee'd had coilovers. This one has ridetech, did another one with vikings from f100performance. My green truck (video on this channel) is zee'd with ridetechs as well, but I'd consider it as low as you can get. Meaning, you could adjust the coilovers up 1-2" and achieve your desired height. The Fred truck (video on this channel) is stock frame rails, cv front, viking coilovers adjusted as low as you should go on stock rails. Hope that helps!
That helps a lot thanks! I was thinking of just doing 1" zee, Ill look some more at the other trucks youre referencing and judge how much lower Id want it from there.
PAINT IT !
