I know this post is old, but I'm going to say this I don't think he is autistic but I will sure as hell so he may have some ADHD and might be a sociopath or psychopath whichever one fits better I can't remember the difference between them. I say this because there are too many moments were always just showing his true self in moments where he's like doing that thing with a cake and saying that he can burn fat and not gain weight bullshit in moments where he called matsuda an idiot when he's fighting light and the tennis match and other moments where it's like he just showcased like he's just a regular dude and he's kind of an asshole. And like if you remove the elements of him just being too lazy to do certain shit and then remove his quirky cuteness You sit up here and think this dude's probably a fucking sociopath 😂 Like he gives off Ted Bundy vibes without the charisma.. there's too many elements in layers to this man's character for me to just be like this dude has the tism 😂

Yeah L is 100% autistic and I even believe that was the author’s intent due to the sheer number and intensity of his traits. It’s canon as far as I’m concerned. Now, Light on the other hand… I think there’s a headcanon argument to be made for neurodivergence there as well, but it’s a bit more of a stretch.
