KH 1, 2, and 3 are definitely top 3.

I definitely agree about Re:COM, easily D+ tier. But, the original COM on GBA is B+ or A- tier because how the GBA version plays better and the combat feels more natural. Also, 358/2 days is easily a B maybe a A- tier because of how repetitive the combat does become and due to some of the bosses being straight up cancer. I am gonna throw DDD is C+ tier since the story is asinine and BBS in B- tier because at least BBS has a better story and better worlds. And, the rhythm game is D- tier, imo. While the top 3 are between KH 1, 2, and 3 - they are all easily S- or S+.

Thank you for showing KH3 some love. It really is a great game. Maybe not a tight knit one like KH2, but great in its own right.

While I personally think KH3 is the weakest of the big three mainline entries, I still love the game, lol. Despite its faults, I think it was overall a satisfying conclusion to Xehanort's story, and the gameplay is very rich (I definitely still dislike the attraction attacks, though). This intro is very bizarre. You disparage people for presenting opinions as facts, but the video is titled "Kingdom Hearts 3 Is Great", and within the first two minutes you literally say "I'm sorry, Kindgom Hearts 3 is not a bad game". Does drawing the line between objectivity and subjectivity only matter when the opinions are negative? Coming right out the gate with a pretty blatant double standard makes it hard to take your opinion seriously.

I'll hear you out but KH to me is just 1, com, 2, and 358. I hate terra and ven, I hate old man xehanort. I thought this series was gonna be final fantasy and Disney. It's no ff and barely any Disney now.

Tbh, my only complaint was the story before getting to Aqua, there was no reason we couldn’t start in another mission or as Riku and Mickey to give Sora time to recover

Kingdom Hearts 3 is actually mid, but it actually has some moments.

Terra is peak and here's why, the only part where he's a dunce is when he guards captain hooks chest. Most of the game he makes correct decisions. He trusts Xehanort because master Eraqus introduced him as a fellow trustworthy keyblade master and as said he tells Terra what Terra wants to hear. He questions maleficent about whats going on and gets cursed. He plays the role of the huntsman who agrees to but has no intention to actually kill snow white. In Cinderella world I think he just escorts her and kills a boss. In olympus he fights in a tournament I think for Hades but realizes pretty quickly. He only kills Eraqus to save Ven and he only knew because Xehanort had arranged everything.

The fact is that Kh3 is middling and does deserve the hate it gets. It was over hyped and relatively short and lackluster for that decade+ wait. Graphics were amazing, the voice acting was done right, the sounds weren't off and the gameplay was fun for what it was. But things that held it back and caused it to get negative reviews is the story being a mess and not worth the decade+ wait for that finale, the game play wasn't as fun as kh2 and 3ds, and the length of the game was hella short for what was supposed to end an almost 20 year long story. The game was such a mess story and length wise that they had to make a dlc that was basically a patch to try and pad game time and fill in the story gaps but it wasn't enough and was overpriced for the experience we got from it. The mods basically make the experience now and is what people will remember it for now.

I agree. While KH1 doesn't exactly have the best gameplay in the series, it still fun and still holds up today. And the story is still easily the best in the series, with Chain of Memories being a close second, and KH2 being a close third. Unfortunately the series devolved into an over-convoluted, overcomplicated mess, for the most part. Hopefully with the new saga coming up with KH4, we can get a more concise, tighter story, as was seen in the first KH.

I played kh3 before watching any critic viedeos and it felt MAGICAL to play it. I literally felt like a kid playing kh1 again. No game made me feel this passionate about it in a long while. Then i did watch the long critic essays to see what they mean. Honestly it's just really about what someone values most in a game. For me artistic value is the most important. And it fulfilled me to the max. Most bad opinions come from people that need a specific type of combat to even consider a game playable.

KH1 is mediocre at best. B tier is too high.

To each their own. If playing the game doesn't hurt and infuriate you and you manage to derive enjoyment from it instead, good on you - I wish I could as well, but the game absolutely failed in every regard for me. Re-Mind's bosses were great though.

Man was fuckin SPITTIN at the end lmao I stopped playing KH3 at the frozen area cos I just wasn’t in the right mindset to play it. This video makes me want to try it again though, KH2 is one of my favorite games from my childhood, and hearing someone speak passionately about KH3 makes me wanna try it again. Though I will be playing in critical so I can get rid of the attractions 🫠

So there’s nothing bad about this game? You glaze every small positive and don’t mention the negatives. Also, yes it’s stupid to expect this game to be perfect. You can’t expect it to be as good as kh2. But can you expect it to even be competent? I did, and it wasn’t.

Thanks for providing perspective. I have watched the 5 hour takedown of KH3, and both that video and yours have points. This video felt like an appeal to just enjoy things that are great and not be cynical, where as the critical essays-often correctly-dissect the details and gameplay system, which WAS borked at launch. Comes down to each persons perspective as enjoyment of media always has. I prefer enjoying games more than not. Even if most of what you pointed out as positives DIDNT exist or redeem the game, someone might still enjoy the hell out of it anyway. You have to acknowledge flaws and blatant mishandling when it happens if you're goal is to review but that doesn't mean anyone's wrong for enjoying the game. I had assumed Disney screwed over the game by insisting on the rides tbh. Seriously I didn't play past Olympus just because the rides were really really annoying. That's all. I didn't let online discourse color my opinion, I didn't engage with it till after I tried the game. Now that I see the common knowledge is to play on critical mode and disabling attractions I'm going to give KH3 another shot. Again, thanks for being willing to defend something you enjoy, its refreshing.

Lol, this was great. I can’t help but think this is what they would sound like if they were casually discussing Disney movies. My ranking: S: The little mermaid, The lion king, A: The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast B: Tarzan, Aladdin, Hercules, Mulan C: Pocahontas D: The Rescuers Down Under

To this day KH3 story is still aids and base game deserves that ranking. But Remind+Critical Mode fixed so much stuff. It doesn't deserve any lower than B tier

The only reason it gets as much hate as it does I feel is due to the trailers that came before release. Too much was given away, so people didn’t get much they weren’t ready for, so it fell flat.

Been a KH fan since I was 10 and I love all the games so when I got KH3 and I experienced that beautiful version of dearly beloved for the first time I literally shed tears, this game holds a special place in my heart that can't be replaced.

While i do agree with most of the points made in the video, there's a major flaw that made me just want to activate 1.5x speed and just watch the video faster. At the very beginning you start discounting others' work and just go like "Their opinions are wrong, so here's mine." No opinion is ever wrong. Ever. That's the beauty of opinions. They all also make really good points as to why this game floundered a bit on it's potential, you even share a few points with some of them. That's not very cool and not the "Gotcha!" you think it is. It just makes you look like a total asshole.

Came across your video today, and that was a spectacular review!! Yes I love kingdom hearts as a whole, especially KH3. Critical mode made me appreciate the gameplay mechanics so much more and had me cry so many times, especially the ending with the beautiful song “don’t think twice” playing. Great job

These are the worst worlds ever made, you can sleep on that hill if you think the frozen world or even toy box are good. Frozen is a up and down retread with the most boring visual desgin, toy box might ad well not be toy story themed at all the moment you leave andy's house. It could be any other store at that point. Pirates is even worse, collect 300 crabs. and later in the inbetween world, (Cant be bothered to remember that horrible designed filler piece), collect 100 sora's. And then san fransansokyo has a tutorial movement mandatory mini game as the final world. Bro, its insane how you think these are the best worlds yet
