Yes the sky's were really dark at times and blue sky in the distance, 10min after I filmed it hammered down. But it was still a great day.

That sounds great. I do plan to visit there again in the near future on my bike .it is a great memorial and when I was there it was almost empty of people too.

It's been out all year round since I've had it. It's doing OK underneath but has had welding done around the windscreen recently.

I agree, it's better than a house any day. Some people just don't get the appeal. Seems like more people are doing it though, especially with the cost of living nowadays.

Never used a saw its too rough. I just used a stanley knife, I first marked the cut then cut with the knife a few times ,,then put blind on a flat surface to see what needed to be trimmed off,, it worked a treat, 😊😊😊

Aw Eric, that's a lovely thing to say and you are always most welcome.🥰 Wolfie is a lovely boy. He's got his mental quirks like Nook, but he's also very placid. He also likes to constantly dive into the undergrowth and he caught a mouse on Cumbrae. I shouted at him to drop it and he did, and it scurried off with no harm done. I really enjoyed Cumbrae and was sad to leave.

Ha ha, he is very cute and such a good boy on the whole too. The ice cream was gorgeous. That was my 4th scoop lol. I have a thing for ice cream, it's one of my favourite things to eat.😊🍦

Ha ha, thanks Mark. Someone said the boat belonged to the Amazon dude, but it doesn't, it belongs to some American billionaire and is called Eos I think. Found a post about it being off the coast of Largs, Arran and Cumbrae at the time that I was there. Cumbrae is lovely. I think you and Milena and Charlie would really enjoy it.

I love Mull of Galloway. I was at a campsite in Wales and it was really bad wind so must have been what you had. It was rocking my little van and some of the tents left in the night. Enjoy the wild camping. You can do your loo and water at New England Bay if you need it. It's the opposite side of Port Logan.

@DKVanLife aw thanks.😊 That place.on the A44 has amazing scenery. Devil's Bridge is nice. There's quite a big car park at the train station which might be better for parking. Have a mooch on Google Earth and see. We've not been there for a while and can't remember where we parked.

Smidge is good but not when it gets in your eyes. I had bad eyes for three days. Yep, can't beat cake for breakfast lol. I had 4 slices of that cake when I was there! I went and had some before getting on the ferry 😂😂😂 The ice cream was amazing too. I had 4 scoops of different flavours 😁

They were buzzards for certain, red kite sound different. My socks dried lovely, I'll have you know 😂 It was peaceful and a friendly place too. I even had an old man in Millport ask me if I'd slept well and then stopped for a natter. It got super busy with walkers and cyclists at the weekend, but I just stayed put and watched them all go by. I thoroughly enjoyed it there and would gladly go again.

It certainly did dry quickly on the sun and wind. It was a perfect wash day! I loved it on Great Cumbrae Louise. I'd have stayed even longer if I could have. It had a lovely, relaxed feel about it.

It’s terrible of me, but I hadn’t heard of Great Cumbrae before. Thank you for introducing it. It did look peaceful when you were sitting on the bench with Wolfie by your side. X

@louisesymonds9963 probably quite a few who haven't heard of it. £9.20 one way and less than 10 minutes journey. I'd go back again for certain, I really liked it there.

I really dont think it was an important objective. Probably a general didn't like it and wanted it, it was just somewhere the Germans were, but was it worth the loss of men , Probably not.

Thanks, yes it was very sad for the men there, they must have been terrified know what may happen. This trip was something I felt I had to do and was happy I did.😊
