FLA Labs is a creative place to explore 3D Printing, Micro Controllers, PCB design, and much more! I like to keep myself busy with projects and share the results here. If you have cool project ideas, share them with me and maybe I will make a video about them!
Follow on Instagram @FLA_Labs for more information and feel free to DM me project ideas!
Favorite my Etsy Shop because sometimes I sell my projects there!
Software:
I use Fusion360 for CAD modeling, Da Vinci Resolve for video editing, Creality, and Chitubox for 3D print slicing, and Ki CAD for circuit design/PCB layout.
Materials:
I use Arduino and Adafruit for most of my electronics, DigiKey for components, Matter Hackers (and others) for Filament and Resins, and JLC PCB for PCB prototype manufacturing.

Very cool!
So grateful for accurate GPS and the drone!
What a fun video! Love that Captain Corn Cob made it in one piece!
Love the corn cam!
Thank-you for this! I have wanted to find out how to make my own, finding a tutorial I could follow was my challenge. 2 years later, still helping people :)
Glad tou found the tutorial! Be sure to like and subscribe so we can continue making content!
I can't find the spacing option. How do I get this
NVM, for anyone looking, you need to make sure to be in full screen
So are you able to make a tutorial on HOW you made it in fusion 360?
Do i get a fidget toy i guess? 😂
@adamfosfi691 email me at flalabs2021@gmail.com and I will hook you up!
Hey, rather than make a new tutorial, here is a REALLY GOOD one that I used as a reference for this project. The only things that will differ are my use of bearings and the backplate that I created for my version. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/B8A_11o7QZ0/видео.html
So uhh... how do you get the wires in there? It's wireless? xD
Question: what was the distance from your launch site and landing site? How long you had to drive? I appreciate your answer in advance thank you so much!
Typically we travel 80 or so miles and the drive time to find it is about 1.5 hours!
Step one get / have a 3D printer. . . 🫤
Email me, maybe I can help! flalabs2021@gmail.com
You never reached space the Kármán line is at 330,000 feet
That's very true! You can never get to space with just a balloon 🎈
What is the name of that copper thing for the screw thread?
Sounds like you are referring to the BRASS threaded inserts. Hopefully that helps!
@@FLALabs oh its a brass, and thanks for the tutorial.
How did you make it
All the orange pieces of the balloon rig are 3D printed and the circuit sculpture is made by soldering wire and components in specific orientations!
Please stop the lie
No lies here! Thanks or your comment!
How thick should the channel be? Do you happen to remember from the top of your head? 🥹
I used a width of 5mm for this project and the acrylic is 12mm thick (deep). The width of your channel will be based on the width of the flexible LED strip. I recommend a small test to find a channel width that the LED strip can press into firmly so that no glue is needed!
The next time you ask yourself "if you could" make sure to follow that up with a "if you should"... All that is missing is some vaguely fleshy toned paint and you have a necromorph divider head from dead space.
Thanks for that... I truly regret Googling the character from Dead Space.😧
@FLALabs if I have to live with these images in my head, then so do you haha!
This is so cool!!
Next time it might be easier to create a "sacrificial" piece of the mold for the hole. Just hot glue it to the inside of mold and remove after you've pulled out the whole piece. Kills two birds with one stone, the hole and making sure all the gummy bears are sealed in with resin.
I love that idea! Thank you!
I thought it was gonna be edible…
Yeah... I wouldn't recommend eating this one. But do the same thing with clear jello and maybe it would work!
That gummie bear got VIOLATED- (no hate tho, looks cool)
Cherry pls 🍒
Did you coat the inside of the whole with resin. You can probably use up resin so you can work on different sides of the cut out but I imagine the exposed gummies in the hole could rot
That's a very good point! I think it would be a good idea to seal in the gummy bears with epoxy!
@@FLALabs Cool hope it goes well
God of gummy bears Bow before greatness 🙇♂️
A router would probably be a better way to make that hole in the gummy bear light but you would have to set up a jig and a vacuum to extract all the chips. As far as cleaning forsters just take a torch and burn that thing off
Thanks for the advice!
Let me know what you think I should make next and be sure to subscribe so you can see what we build next!
Let me know in the comments what other movie/show references you like to see me make!
Pretty cool man! Might I suggest, coating the gummybears butt cavity with epoxy to encapsulate the raw gummybear flesh after drilling... Could get ants if you don't!
That's a great idea! If ants start coming around, I will definitely give that a try!
Which part numbers did you use for the screws and inserts?
I purchased this kit on amazon : a.co/d/fLKABwG and used the M4 8mm x 6mm threaded inserts. The hardware is less specific, but I used chrome M4 x 8mm screws in the video!
Can i buy it here in india ??
I've had trouble shipping to India in the past... :/
@@FLALabs yeah :/ and this time its a knife
If you know of a reliable way to get something shipped from me to you, I would be happy to send you one! Send me an email if you have an idea!
Bro what are you doing in my kitchen! Get outta here! 😂

Looks like Flat earth
Yup! Totally flat! We live on a giant cosmic Frisbee!
@@FLALabs what I don't get is when you prove to people Earth is flat with obvious evidence its always rejected with hate and anger to include name calling from so called other adults...
I was only kidding before... the earth is absolutely NOT flat. I believe there is plenty of evidence to the contrary. However, I also think it's important to keep things "light and polite" online!
@@FLALabs yes it is, this footage proves it so does mine. All airline pilots admit it... why are you confused? Who is getting angry right now? If NASA didn't lie, where are all the stars and satellites in your video? Don't worry, I will wait for your excuse
Thanks for your comments, have a great day!
Awesome!
Great as a desk ornament 🫣
That's where he lives for now!

very well done .
Thank you!

I like this video, but the music is distracting and I would completely remove it. Wish I could mute it.
Thanks for the feedback!
Very good video!!
I appreciate it!
I absolutely love mine. Thanks again!
Glad you love it, Cam!
Hi.Is there any legel procedure is there to send a sattelite into a space.if yes what are they.
Many, I'm sure. However, sending a circuit sculpture of a satellite to nearspace on a high-altitude balloon is much simpler. There is a straightforward guide of how to comply with FAA regulations regarding high-altitude balloons on the FAA website!
@@FLALabs Thanks you so much for a wonderful response ❤️
I am looking forword to make a own sattelite. Give me a suggestion idea what parameters need to capture for latest ideas. Kindly guide me to do this.

Hey! Late to the party, but I appreciate your participation! Email me at flalabs2021@gmail.com and I will ship you your fidget!
One thing with the Pumpkin model, the curves all have jagged edges, making it a little difficult to print (and of course makes it a little rough) but otherwise very well done!
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!
Stupid question. I've thought of going the same route where you cut out the path to lay the LED strip in, but my main concern was the length of the LED Stip cutt-off point if that makes sense? If the path is shorter than the strip or longer, what would you do then?
No such thing as a stupid question! That is actually one of the challenges with these projects... you could probably do the math and make sure each letter has a "length" that works perfectly with your LED strip, but I find it best to just get LED strip with more frequent cut points (every 1/3" in this case) and get as close as you can. When it's turned off, you may notice little gaps at the start and stop of the channel where the LED strip is a little short, but when it's on, you can't even tell! I hope that helps!
Beautiful, I was nearby in Erie
We predicted it would be close, but tuat made us nervous for sure!
Another fine job!
Thanks ❤️
