    I’m from a little area in Michigan. 😁 It would be kinda cool to see you modal and print a housing for a solar panel and battery. Like a solar phone charger.

    Nice! You should look into mirroring, either on the sketch level or on the feature level. Creating the same corner features four time takes a lot of time, with mirroring you'd design one and mirror twice to give you four identical corners.

      Very good idea! The more I use the software and explore the tools, the more efficient my modeling can be!

    Hello, at time 12:46, you use a metal component to serve as a support to place screws later. What's his name?

    • @FLALabs

      Those are called "brass threaded inserts". I get mine on Amazon, but you can get more specific sizes and varieties on McMaster Carr

    Hi! I see you used 2.25mm and 2.9mm holes for threaded inserts. I can't figure out what size threaded inserts fits these size holes?

      These have become my preferred threaded insert. Id recommend you do a few test prints and select a hole diameter that results in the best results with the threaded insert. I Luke to make it so the small part will fit into the hole and then you can press it the rest of the eay with heat. Hopefully this helps!

    Hello! Could you tell me what's the approximate price to build such enclosure? Without the screws etc, just plastic.
    I'm curious

    • @FLALabs
      @FLALabs  Год назад +2

      Hey Miguel! For this enclosure, the approximate cost (material only, no hardware or machine time) would be about $1.37 USD.

  • @lupo19047

    Nice design. But without any holes to connect anything, the Arduino is kinda useless. Isn't it?

    • @FLALabs
      @FLALabs  Год назад +1

      This was intentional. No matter where I would have chosen to put holes, they would have been in the "wrong place" for someone. My recommendation is to modify the design to meet your needs, or drill appropriate holes for your project! Let me know if you'd like me to modify an STL for you!

  • @ProfessorOzone

    Not to be too critical, but this was more of a modeling video than a 3d printing video. This enclosure has no holes for wiring. The 3d printing process is part of the challenge of this build. You know, like how to print the lid without it warping. Unless I missed it, I also didn't see where you told us what material it is made from. I presume it's PLA.

    • @FLALabs
      @FLALabs  9 месяцев назад

      If you are having trouble printing the lid without warping, make sure it is printed logo side down and try using some adhesive like Magigoo!
      I left off the holes so that the box could be customized as needed. I recommend simply drilling the holes you need.
      Yes, I used PLA for this project.
      If you have any other questions about how to succeed with designing/printing your custom enclosure, let me know!

    I guess i am not in this giveaway to be honest i subscribed you yesterday cuz i was intrested in stuff like something that we can send to space
    But if there is any chance that i am still in
    The thing that you should build next is (when you launch it using baloon and when it pop and fall when it reach about 20 m above from surface it activate some kind of drone and stays in sky until someone pick it ) or samething like a pathfinding thing
    Whenever your satellite comes near earth et tries to connect with gps where it was launched from and drive itself toward that location
