Just messing around the world.
Lojel Cubo Small Suitcase Carryon - I sent it packing...
It was too small. I'm the type to pack an overhead carry on along with a personal item backpack for most trips. I've gotten used to using the Away Bigger Carryon with Pouch. It's just about the biggest rolling carry on you can bring onto a plane and I've so far...not gotten denied on any flight I've taken. The only drawback to most hard luggage is that it opens right down the middle and isn't easily opened on a luggage rack. Most of the time, you have to pack it on the floor, with both sides opened up. I was thinking, if they made a hard side with the opening of a soft side, it'd be the best of both worlds. Soft sides usually have a small, thin lid with the bulk of the packing space as a ...

Holme and Hadfield Watch Collector Display Case (Great, except for one thing)
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.Год назад
I went overboard. Sometimes, when I get interested in a thing, I get a bit too focused on it and get carried away. I got me some watches. A Rolex Explorer II, a Rolex Wmbledon, a Rolex Datejust 41, a CasiOak, Casio calculator, a Seiko SSK003 GMT, and a Tag and Movado that I had hanging about. I realized that they needed a place to rest. I couldn't have them all scattered randomly on my dresser....
Winner! Tom Bihn Techonaut 30L Travel Backpack
Просмотров 2,9 тыс.Год назад
I've been eyeing Tom Bihn packs for awhile now and they finally made one that fit my needs and wasn't crazy ugly. I really couldn't get with their aesthetic before, but the Techonaut is decent enough looking that I thought I could give it a whirl. My ideal pack has outer pockets, including for a water bottle, and a lot of open space inside. I've used a Black Ember Forge for awhile, but it was a...
Scrub Review - BeneFit Scrubs (Don't Bother!)

EDIT: Even worse. These are my newest set of scrubs and they are already fading. I've washed them perhaps 4 times and the color is noticeably fading. My much older Medalita scrubs look far better. A subscriber put me on to this brand after I checked out the FitRx scrubs since they have a similar mission. That is, to have a very stretchy, fitted scrub set for those who don't mind showing off the...
Peak Designs Tech Pouch 2 - I'm a Fan.
Просмотров 285Год назад
I was happily using a $20 Amazon tech pouch until my brother got me this Peak Design Tech Pouch for Christmas and it's been a surprising change. I hadn't liked the other Peak gear I've tried so was hesitant to spend $60 on a tech pouch. It's innovative accordion style design made for easy organization of all my cables and auxiliary gear. It was even better than my old pouch because it was one c...
Away Bigger Carry-On with Pocket (meh)

Finally got around to making this review. The Away Bigger Carry-On with pocket suitcase does the job...but the zipper on mine broke after only 10 months of use. Lame. I'll have to go to the store to get it replaced or fixed. Other than that, it's serviceable, but nothing groundbreaking compared to many other suitcases out there. The wheels are the same as all the other wheels out there. It feel...

Affordable Every Day Carry Backpack - Osprey Nebula (meh)
Просмотров 5 тыс.2 года назад
This is a bag I really wanted to like. Osprey is a really popular brand for its affordability and durability. I'd say, for awhile there, it was the most common brand I'd see on my travels during the 2000s. Since then, there have been a bunch of options that have come to the market and I think I prefer them to what Osprey is offering. I tried out the Farpoint and just couldn't get into it. I pre...
Premium Scrubs on a Budget? Review of Mandala Scrubs (meh)
Просмотров 5 тыс.3 года назад
Mandala scrubs. Well, the premise was good. They purport to bring a high quality scrub at an affordable price. In the end though, it wasn't quite as advertised. It's nice that they are transparent with their pricing though. The fabric was ok. It feels a bit thin and artificial. It drapes well though and has a decent hand feel. It's pretty wrinkle free and doesn't keep odors. The cut and fit was...
Not Too Shabby! Mediclo Scrubs Review

These are good scrubs if you can get them with a discount coupon. And, with their current aggressive marketing, I think you should be able to. Of all the scrubs I've bought over the last few months, Mediclo by far has hit my inbox with the most ads. I don't love that. But their scrubs are good and very competitive at this premium price point. The cut is neither too conservative nor too aggressi...
More Scrubs! Medelita Review
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.3 года назад
So, I liked these scrubs...but not as much as others I've tried out. Medelita positions itself as a premium scrub brand. It was started by a PA and they use their own special stretch fabric. Overall, I thought it was a well made set of scrubs that felt good to put on. The fabric isn't super stretchy, but it has some give to go with your movements. It feels good and drapes well. There are a lot ...
Medical Scrub Review - Fit Scrubs (I like!)

This is the first in a series of videos I'm going to do about higher end scrubs. For awhile, I stopped wearing scrubs and have been wearing clothes from Bonobos/J Crew to work. I liked looking professional and I think I got a good response from patients and co-workers. Recently though, with the explosion of premium scrubs using better fabrics and more flattering cuts, I decided to go back to sc...
Great Travel Backpack - Tortuga Setout Laptop Backpack Review
Просмотров 3363 года назад
Wiow, I really liked this bag. I've already reviewed three other Tortuga bags (male and female Setouts and Setout Divide) and I liked all of them. In fact, the male version of the Setout is my favorite bag for all in one travel when I don't use a spinner suitcase. This bag, the Setout Laptop Backpack, looks almost like a mini version of the regular Setouts. If you like the aesthetic of Tortuga,...
Back to It! Black Forge Ember Backpack Review - Travel and EDC Goodness.

We back baby. At least in California we can walk around unmasked and everything is open. That means I'm traveling again. I've had my eye on a Black Ember backpack for awhile now, but just didn't pull the trigger. All of their offering seem enticing and honestly seem like they have a lot of overlap in use cases. I ended up choosing the Forge since it's expandable, and if there's anything that ge...

I have to recommend a visit to Tlaquepaque if you take a trip to Guadalajara. It's about 30 minutes from the Centro of Guadalajara and well worth the ride. What makes Tlaquepaque special is that it has been designated as a Pueblo Magico which means they have to keep it looking colonial....

Round 3 - Nike SB RPM Backpack Reviewed! Vs. Dakine Mission vs Timbuk2 Vert Skateboarding Backpacks
Damn what a horrible pack job. If you can’t find or access your clothes, blame the packer and not the suitcase. Next time try packing cubes to organize and easily find your clothes.
Lol. I always pack the same. I prefer other suitcases. This one was not user friendly. Get it?
@@highswithloweThe top opening is the same as a soft sided suitcase. You just don’t know how to use one. A clamshell has to be opened on the floor or bed (both YUCK) instead of a luggage rack or table. Seriously, if you travel often, look at getting packing cubes. They compress your clothes and prevents wrinkles while staying organized. Your suitcase looks like mine after a trip full of dirty clothes 😂 Edit: btw, I don’t own a Lojel. I’m looking for an alternative to a clamshell. Clamshells can’t accommodate bulkier items.
@@ecebear3 I travel a ton and pack very well, but thanks for your input anyway. I'm glad you like your packing cubes. Since you so much to offer, perhaps you should create your own channel.
Eek, MDF is an automatic no-go
I don't hate the MDF. Overall it felt quality. Solid wood would be better, but would cost more. It just didn't work for me.
Bet Bellroy & Chrome won’t snitch on ya though
What sizes are you wearing?
Small for both.
I'm 5'8" 150#
Your video stressed me out. The way you were handling it and your packing! Who packs like that?!
Great video bro!
Nice! How tall are you?
i'm 5'8".

You just saved me $40! Thank you!
How so? Just fyi, mine's still going strong.
Kaget kirain Denny Sumargo review koper 😂
Bro where do you buy that???
the Nike? On their site.
ALTA BRAND SCRUBS… they are the very best feeling, fitting, and have more stretch than fit scrubs and benefit. They are by far the very best scrubs out there.
Cool, I'll check them out!
Is there any way to buy this bag in 2024?
Benefit Scrubs or Fit Scrubs?? I’m thinking Fit Scrubs due to not having a cotton focus for longevity of color and fit.
I liked the Fit Scrubs way more. I still use them. The only think I didn't like was the shallow pockets that my keys and wallet always fall out of. The Benefit's didn't last and the sizing was all weird. They were faded after 2 washes. They aren't it for me.
@@highswithlowe awesome, thanks Doc! I just received a set of Fabletics. Was hoping to get all Fabletics but they don’t have Black in my size so I gave up and bought a set of 4 of Fit Scrubs last night.
@@matthewherren I hope you like them! How are the Fabletics?
@@highswithlowe the Fabletics top fits well which has been challenging to find in scrubs. Good v-neck, chest/arms, etc. Material feels like good quality but a little thicker with less extreme stretch. Maybe similar to a Figs.
@@highswithlowe the heather grey Fabletics are really nice quality and fit well, however a little boxy needing the top tucked in. I just got back from working in Miami. Received my Fit Scrubs and tried them on. The fit (top and bottoms) couldn’t be better and it’s been impossible to find ones that fit half as good. Quality feels great as well. By far the best scrubs I’ve ever worn. Bought four sets and will only wear Fit Scrubs from now on.
Do you have a review on Benefit Medical Scrubs?
Looks like you found it!
Thank you for the informative video. I was ready to buy this case, thankfully i found your video. I have similiar size wrists, so i have no way to know if my watches will fit. The fact that the posts are round is an issue.
So glad it helped!
ROJE RU And they’re awesome. No more coke
How do these compare with Cherokee Infinity? Fit Scrubs will cost around $500 for 5 tops and bottoms. I live in Florida and need thin light weight, extremely stretchy, breathable, cool for hot climate, etc. Bought a bunch of black Jaanuu scrubs and they’re really thick, not so stretchy and a bit tight which is the best size to fit me. I’m 5ft 10in and 195lbs.
Hey thanks for commenting. I think the Infiity's are nice...but they cost almost the same as the Fit scrubs. As far as the thinnest and stretchiest, I think the Figs were. These Fit scrubs are a bit thick. They are super stretchy though. And durable I still wear them. I just dont' like the pockets. The Mandalas were kinda cheap. The Benefits were awful...but thin and stretchy.
@@highswithlowe wow, very helpful. I was thinking Jaanuu would have been comparable to Figs but maybe I need to look at Figs. Thanks for the input.
@@matthewherren might as well order them to try and return if you don’t like them. they have a good return policy.
@@highswithlowe checking out my sister’s Figs now.
@@highswithlowe I checked out my sister’s Figs tonight and its material thickness is similar to Jaanuu. Hope to find some with more of an athletic, light weight, water repellant, extremely stretchy feel.
Hi great review! Do you think Greenroom136 Metromonger is better or the Slingshot Sling? Would love to hear your thoughts
I think both are great. I love the Slingshot though. It's sleek and versatile.
@@highswithlowe Thanks for your reply
I don't know man but I had a dakine for more than 15 years and it's an absolutely freaking amazing backpack it's a shame they discontinued it. Maybe they needed people to buy more often 😢
I like the Dakine a lot! I just thought the build quality wasn't as good as the Timbuk2.
this actually fixed my problem, thanks man!
Glad it helped after all these years!
I have the 34L version (not the current) and love it, but I agree about the one way zipper - it's the only thing about the backpack that I don't like. I've gotten used to it and have used the backpack for multiple trips to Asia. It's great.
I tried to sell it but no one wanted it.
I wanted the same thing. A hard shell that was NOT a clamshell. It was hard to find but I did find one. It comes in 2 versions. One with outer lap top pocket (I did not get that one) and a regular one with a standard top lid like the traditional soft side case. No expansion which would kinda defeat the purpose of carry on. I really like it. At 1st I thought the lid was a little flimsy, but I'm thinking that the slight flex it has may prevent it from cracking? It's called a 20 inch but the specs say it's a 21.4 x 13.8 x 9.2 inches. It's 7.9lbs. I haven't used it but I can't wait. Oh, and the wheels are smooth as butter. And it has a built-in lock. And it opens horizontal ly, not vertically like the Cubo. I understand that not having division is a bummer. But I'm just going to buy packing cubes. They make different versions including clamshells. This is the one I got. Limited-time deal: Hanke 20 Inch Carry-On Luggage PC Hard Shell Suitcases for Travel Front Opening Aluminum Frame Tsa Luggage Rolling Suitcase with Wheels.(Jet Black) a.co/d/gQTlfDg P.s. they also have a top lid one with the handle going all the way across. I wouldn't recommend that one because you won't be able to fit a bag with a trolley sleeve on it.
I got tired just watching too much straps btw Timbuk2 is the best 😜
Timbuk2 is more simpler ,great material & looks. Chrome & skunk have too much strings hanging all over. Very tacky and expensive for casual use. Unless you join the army 😜😎
Perfect choice. Timbuk2 is very much popular in Canada 🇨🇦 got the xxtra small & small messenger bags. Awesome 👍❤️😜🇨🇦
You dress and act like you are still a college student. Mystery Ranch 3-way Expandable Briefcase isn''t for college students.
Thanks for checking me out! I'm not knocking the aesthetics of the bag though. I like the looks. It's just not easily usable or comfortable for me. I love my other 3-way bags (TOPO and Black Ember). However, I prefer my Tom Bihn Techonaut overall.
Wow. I’m glad I came across your channel! Thanks for the detailed bag review, but also for the thoughtful advice!
no worries, glad it helped.
Have to disagree with you, I carry about 7lbs of gear to and from school, this bag keeps all my supplies safe, it’s comfortable, and the osprey has that life time guarantee. If you do anything to the pack, they’ll fix it or replace it. They even have an option to add sentimental value.
I have 4 Lojel cubo cases (2 small/2medium)…you’ll get used to the inner zipper…I love the space saving feature…I roll my clothes & stand them upright for easy access
glad it works for you. It didn't work for me. Too small and awkward to use.
You can also easily stack packing cubes and take them out while the bag is standing without having to lay the entire bag flat! :)
Does this luggage pass the pen test like the zippers can’t be opened using a pen
I have this bag but the one thing I don’t like is that the bag is not water resistant. Once it rain everything inside your bag gets wet. I have gotten books and electronics wet to the point of buying the item again due to water damage. For those that are looking to buy this backpack just be aware of the lack of water resistance. Although, Osprey sales separately backpack cover to prevent your backpack getting water inside.
thanks for the info!
Lojel has been around much longer than the away brand
THE GRIP TAPE OF THE SKATEBOARD WILL RUIN THE BAG😂
Great review.
which do you prefer this or the chrome kadet? also how does the u-lock holster on this compare to the chrome's. i've tried the chrome and found it relatively comfortable, are they comparable?
They are pretty different. The Kadet is longer and narrower in shape. It only let's you sling it on one shoulder. The Life Behind Bars is shaped like a more traditional sling bag. You can switch shoulders easily. The straps aren't as comfortable as the Chrome. If I could only choose one, I'd choose the life behind bars.
If you are taking melatonin, use it sparingly, as its use has been linked to the occurrence of dementia.
Is there a way to tell if the bag has the cordura material or the other fabric?
what other material? As far as I know, they are all Cordura.
Thanks! I was really thinking to get the red lojel as the colour looks so good but thankfully I saw this video!!! So inconvenient, I thought there was a diff zipper in the middle. Will pass on it then! 😂
Glad I could help!
Buy the TB pouches to use with the o-rings and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them
I'll look into it...just got the Evergoods Civic Travel 26L and I'm excited to see how that measures up.
Hilarious how much that zipper bothered you. I'd be the same, still might get the bag.
Awesome logo BTW! So far the benefit ones have been my favorite, and the sizing on the fit scrubs was really frustrating with the Large feeling like a XXL. Are there any other athletic scrubs with tighter sleeves you would recommend?
Thanks! Well I like the FitRX ones better...except for the shallow pockets, they are great and have held up well. They are cut snug with stretch for the athletically built.
Bag of my choice for traveling.
heck yeah. Using it now.
The measurements are over the personal Carey size. Can you get it under the seat of a plane? Do the airlines hassle you?
Could you just undo the clasps on your watches.
Then they are way too loose and look sloppy. The design is cool if you have the right size wrist. I think it would probably look silly if you had a bracelet that was too big too.
That’s what I do but it takes away from the esthetic.
Away has a limited life warranty that does cover zippers if they are no longer functioning. I would imagine a broken off zipper would fall under that. Good luck getting it replaced or fixed!
Oh I'm aware. but for a zipper they make you send it in. they don't have my bigger carry on with pocket and battery anymore and they offered me a regular one to replace it (which costs less). I want the pocket and battery. They eventually sent me a bigger carryon with pocket without a battery compartment. Not what I paid for, but that's all they had. Was a pain, instead of just sending to me when it was in stock, I had to check myself. When I saw that it was in stock, I had to let them know and then they sent it. It's 2023...I'm sure there's a POS that can do that automatically instead of hassling the customer.
I have the same wrist size and struggle to find a nice box that fits my watches. Do recommend if you can find one that fits yours please. Cheers.
how many inch laptop can fit?
15 inch easily
This was great! Love the collaboration between you and your two daughters.
great review!! thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
Did they wash out after numerous washes? I've heard they fade and that they also wrinkle. Looking to buy a pair soon but just looking around
No, my grey ones haven't washed out...but there is a tiny hole on the right thigh that is slowly growing. I don't have issues with wrinkling.
