  • Wow, finally back and it feels good.
I've been waiting to review this sling for awhile now and hadn't been able to truly use it until March 2021. I took a couple trips with my antibodies and came back unscathed.
The Life Behind Bars Slingshot Eclipse Sling 9L is a great little bag and pretty darn affordable too. The company is from Indonesia and really impressed me with what they put together. It's make of quality parts and put together really well. The closure is a highlight being a Fidlock magnetic clasp that is hard to open unless you know the trick.
The bag is super water resistant and I'm confident it can keep things dry even in a monsoon.
My only gripe was that the shoulder strap is not padded and just nylon webbing. It got uncomfortable over time when fully loaded out. The good part was that it is ambidextrous though, so you can easily change shoulders if you need to. My benchmark sling, the Chrome Industries Kadet, cannot be switched. Compared to my Timbuk2 mini Messenger, I'd say it had better waterproofing and the closure is nicer. Timbuk2 uses Velcro which is noisy and not as elegant. It also isn't as stable because it doesn't have a stabilizer strap.
At about $70 shipped, this bag really is a deal and I recommend it.
