Sweet looking rig for a kayak you have. What happens if you were to flip it? Are your electronics and motor water proof? Just curious. Going out on Lake Erie in a kayak would scare the shit out of me. I was out on the lake fishing with my grandpa back in the 1980's. I've seen the lake kick up in the blink of an eye. I went out on Lake St Clair in my kayak. I checked the weather before I went. The coastguard forecast was calling for winds from 1-5 mph light and variable. A cold front came through. I couldn't paddle against the wind. I ended up having to beach my kayak in some ladies back yard. I had to walk a mile back to the boat launch. Thankfully she let me use her yard. I sold my kayak about 5 years ago. Thinking about getting back into it.

Would you think using a walleye jig I could get them as I can’t troll on my yak

I run a Nucanoe unlimited 2.5 suzuki out of Buffalo harbor. It gets pretty sporty out there

Beautiful day to be out catching jumbos for December. I love those Cabelas Mean Eye blades for walleye but never thought about getting some smaller ones for perch jigging. I normally jig with a Thundermist Lures Stingnose Minnow jig. Over in the Western Basin, I use a 3/16 oz but they have all weights. You may need to downsize the hooks if you get the heavier ones. You're getting me excited about walleye jigging already. Glad you got out to do something you love to do.

What size jigging rap and color did you use…..

How do you think the shearwater would fish in lakes. I have had a bonafide ss127, nucanoe pursuit and oldtown 120 all with the bow mounted xi3 and loved it. This one sits alot lower but i love the look, sesting options and deck size
