    How to make opponents return with short balls😅?

    Very good explanation overall, for me especially the reason for contact point being more in front with strong position for hitting arm cleared up questions I had.

    0:50 see right there: you 'opened' the face. This is unnecessary and actually complicates the shot - a little bit of unwelcome pronation/supination (where the pronation also becomes a default defensive reaction = not good). Just do a Dimitrov or Lajovic: keep the face angle neutral. One or two players will actually slightly close the face - eg Lajovic sometimes.

    Hey Uros, your explanation of one-handed backhand using the net I find great. Myself, I used this method to teach my daughter double-handed BH as she some years ago still was at the one-handed. We succeeded. So thanks for the good idea!

    We still keep arguing with my husband if it is ok to hit the net player from the weak second serve. He says you are mean to do it and it's not worth a point you can hit a person.

    • @urostennis
      @urostennis 2 месяца назад

      Great arguing point. You are not trying to hit and hurt the person at the net, that would never be an advice to give … by aiming down the line on the return of a second serve and tactically surprising the player at the net, you are definitely exercising one of the, if not the best option - especially if it’s a backhand volley they are going to have to play. Of course this is assuming you are playing against players at your own level - in which case they would be ready to react and play your ball even if it’s flying towards their body. Hope this helps!

    The thing I found most interesting was what he was saying about the grip changes at the end of the video. Was he implying that he teaches pro's to volley with multiple grips. Has anyone heard him talk about this anywhere else?

    • @urostennis
      @urostennis 4 месяца назад

      Yes absolutely - grip variations for different heights of contact points and also dependent on level of play
