Stock Engine + Blouch 3.0XTR and Bolt-ons Makes 382/333!
The crazy clean 2005 STi is back for more power! After the last round of mods the up-pipe developed a crack. So the owner decided to step of the turbo as well. In come the Blouch 3.0XTR and Perrin Performance 2" Up-Pipe to add to the mods installed last time.

Unfortunately we weren't able to run it on a full tank of ethanol this time as we fought some boost creep issues. So the results were at 33% ethanol, which we run the same ignition timing at that content level as we do on 93. At the end of the quick tuning session we made 382hp and 333tq.

We had the pleasure of working on and tuning this clean C7 Grandsport. Before we could begin tuning we had to reroute the vent lines for the dry sump tank. With just 3 mods we were able to make more than 100whp over what a stock Hellcat makes on our Mustang Dyno. What were these mods? This STi was brought to us for a tune after a recent rebuild. We got it squared away with 3 different boost profiles using the SI-Drive system. On the lowest boost map we made 329/317, on medium boost we made 359/359, and on high boost we made 361/374. Last time this truck was here we installed a DSX Tuning Flex Fuel kit to compliment his Katech Throttle Body, K&N Intake, and Texas Speed Longtube Headers. It made 390hp/435tq. Those numbers are low. With a cam and the other mods the car should be around 580.
No. These cars make around 380hp stock on our dyno. You wont pick up 200whp naturally aspirated and the cam was not that great of a cam for top end power.
what stall was the torque converter
I don't remember the brand but it was a 2800 stall.

Thank you. Completely stock fuel system in the car. Injector Duty Cycle was 89% at factory shift point with an 11.5 afr.
that’s incredibly low power for a 20g
Not all customers want the power that comes with the bigger turbo. He wanted a low boost conservative tune and that is what was given. Customer was very happy.
A charger/challenger with the same kit will put down 520. Not the motors fault, all the heavy duty driveline parts sap power.

So I just a JDM 205 swap in my 08 WRX. I have very similar bolts ons compared to this car. My question is as far as performance…..Does the 20x perform better then the 205 or are they about the same?
The 20x has higher compression so a little better off throttle response. But can get the same hp out of each.
I’m running mine off my 255 tune for now. But I haven’t seen any fine knock learn, DAM has not dropped. I do see some feedback knock from time to time. I will be taking a trip in December to North Carolina area and would definitely like to drop by and see if you can tune it. Is there a way to contact you about setting up a dyno and tune session?

So the factory intake is a big restriction over stock?
The factory intake only becomes a restriction when adding parts and tuning to the vehicle.

So long as the maintenance was done and continues to be done it will be a reliable daily driving.

Yes this is with all the factory fuel system. This is using a 2.85 upper pulley. If just doing the pulley it would be 650-670.

im going with a 440xt turbo on my 20x any lag or bad experience compared w a 2L
It spools up about 1000rpm later than with a 2.5L. But the performance on the top end is much better.

Without supercharger it won’t perform as well with all that extra breathing mods
Why such low hp if he has a built iag? What other things does he need to make more power to match the iag engine’s capabilities… Loke even the lowest iag shirt block is 550 crank hp so I’m guessing 400-460whp would be great in that car maybe with 1300 injectors
This is what the client asked for. He had an engine failure on his oem shortblock and wanted an upgrade. Sometime in the future when ready for more power he will upgrade.
Why more torque than horsepower?
He had a very loose converter and the cam was spec'd for quick spool. So he lost a ton of potential on the top end.

Soo i have an 08 fxt, i got a vf48 1050 injectors 3port boost controller sti top mount, cstless dp to invidia exhaust, perrin inlet to intake, thv delete with a boomba bpv so 100% recirculating,also its a 5speed, im gonna be running 18-20psi are these realistic numbers for me also or will i be higher? I will also be running 93, on an open source tune, also upgraded fuel pump either a 255 or 340

The mode has no bearing on horsepower produced. The different mods of for throttle response and transmission shifts.
Stage 3 extreme used copper o ring blocks. Do u know the head gasket being used on this car?
I do not remember specifically, but it was what IAG recommended to use for the combination of parts and power goal of the car.

Between 280-300 whp on our dyno.
Part of me wants to do this to my Hellcat, but I daily drive it and a full tank only gets me like 220 miles now. 100 hp more and I'd probably be at 180. It's a quarter tank to go to work and back every day
Adding the power want decrease your fuel range anymore than it already is.... your right foot will though ;)
42”s are way too big bro unless you’re planning on running a hemi! If you had ran the same set up with factory tires or something slightly bigger you could probably produce around 370 hp

What are the turbo specifics. Is it the Cobb tdo5 20g 8cm housing? I am sizing turbos and the debate, tdo5 8cm or tdo6 8cm both 20g configuration.
It is the standard COBB 20g
@@sdracingllc1594 man that’s great power from the small hot side. I think since mine is a big bore 100mm 2.5 Subaru I’m probably gonna go for the td06 20g 8 cm and if I don’t like it get the td05 8cm housing and drop down a size and add an external gate.
How much does it cost for all of those changes?
Everything that we did to the truck would be about $14k
