Why I Am No Longer Vegan | Plant based vs. Vegan Diet
Im here to learn better breathing for my music. But also just to be healthier, and work out more easily. Both of those are also i want to quit vaping.
Super fun! I decided to look into breath holding exercises because that one friend who's good at everything physical beat me in a breath holding contest. Could you make videos for longer hold times, so as people advance, they can continue to follow a video instead of setting timers? It'd make its nice and easy to continue to do this, as my lungs get better. This, I can do, but its a struggle by the end, so when I get comfortable with these times, I'm going to want to add more time
We have playlists with different levels on our Free Your Breath channel bit.ly/trainyourbreath if you’re feeling discomfort, please regress to shorter holds before progressing to longer holds bit.ly/trianglebreathing
can i do this everyday and countless of times (probably like 2 lol) without causing health problems?
Treat this as you would any exercise. The frequency and intensity totally depends on your current level. For example, you wouldn’t run a marathon on day 1. Honour your body and schedule in recovery. All the best!
Great Job!!
Btw I just started my journey into mycology last year and what a journey it's been! I currently have 5 different All in one bags colonizing & 2 different 66qt monotubs I'm fruiting in. I'm slowly getting into genetics & plate work & it's so fascinating!
Nice, I've not gotten into the digital devices yet, not that I'm against them, I just think I haven't found one for exactly what I'd want it to do which is to specifically track all my breathholds I'm still doing daily breathwork, almost 9 yrs now & I've logged all my holds that exceeded 12 minutes & 25 seconds as that's the current record for longest breath hold without assisted oxygen which alot of people tend to get confused. I've contacted Guinness World Records twice now & I truly believe that they think I'm trolling them or something when I told them my Records😂 I won't get paid a penny but just want it to be documented as it'd be my biggest achievement to date & several channels that are in to breathwork have immediately dismissed me also apparently thinking I'm joking but I want to make a channel or bare minum a video showing me do it although no matter what there's going to be people that think it's fake. What would you recommend I do? I'm not sure why I feel comfortable asking you about this but hear I am! 😂
Make the video!
Livestream it!
Great review Shin! The Ultrahuman ring sounds awesome! Have you tried any other ring fitness trackers?
Thanks Joe! I have only been intrigued by the oura ring but the monthly fees are not for me. You?
Interesting I tried it now and 1.30min is my longest. I need more practise 😅
That’s above average! 👏 well done!
Thankyou ❤
Okay so the first one was so difficult i made it to 30sec hold but the next i made it the full 45 it was a fight and later in the video i found that counting from 10-1 when i think ive reached my absolute limit for how long i could hold my breath really helped me get to the 45 second mark reliably. Also it is really important to breath into your lower belly not just your chest it feels a lot less like having to fight the air your holding when you breathe lower. Over time i found that the holding was so much easier and kind of relaxing. (All of these were things i noticed on my first attempt/watch of this video.)
To ensure maximum recovery and progress, we want to train at 50% of our max capacity. For example, If you can hold for 1 min max, then you should practice the 30 sec hold video. bit.ly/trainyourbreath
@@ShoshinShow Hi I did as suggested and went to the 30 second video instead. First off brilliant advice since 45 was a struggle. Second I combined 4 inhale, 2 hold, 10 exhale with the exercise and for recovery I expelled all carbon through my mouth before resuming the breathing pattern I did before. I found this really helped in steadying my breath so I wasn't panting and gasping. Holding my breath for 30 has become a breeze. Thank you for the videos!!!!
@@aimee4119 WOO! Love to hear it! Great work customizing the exercise for you. Happy breathing!
Day 1 holded at max for 30 secs
If your max is 30 seconds, start here bit.ly/trianglebreathing and slowly progress. Do this video when you max is 1:30.
@ShoshinShow Okay, Thanks for the guidance.
2 minutes on day one :V
You have a really great smile and thanks for the tutorial, I already feel much more controlled and strong. Will continue doing this!! 😃🌟
Stay strong 💪
Or you can go to a sleep lab and finind out what may be going on. I did got a cpap and found that there's two types a sleep apnea and i have a little of both. My breathing does not stop as many times. My breathing would stop 84 times now its down to 4. So not really to sure putting a tape on the mouth would work for everyone. I sleep better and a little longer because i was going only around 3 to 4 hours a night.
Subject bolay tu ;)
Hi Shin! So I've been doing this every morning for about 2 weeks now, and my chest and lungs have begun to hurt during breath holds and just throughout the day as well. I'm not sure if that's because of the exercises or not. Do you have any tips?
Think of these exercises as any exercise. If I run 5k everyday my legs will eventually hurt when I’ve hit my capacity. Similarly here - remember to schedule in rest days and feel free to regress at any stage (do the 45 second video or 30 second video instead)
@@ShoshinShow Ohh okay, I didn't think of it that way. Thank you!! ❤
Completed 45 seconds but always gasping for air after.
Start with the 30 second training video bit.ly/trainyourbreath
how often can i do this a day before diminishing returns?
That totally depends on your mind and body! Let us know how it goes!
Should we exhale through the mouth? Does recover mean return to normal breathing? When instructed to inhale, I've already done it and you take 3 seconds to say hold, when I've already been holding. This is confusing. For me, some of what you're saying assumes that I have prior knowledge and needs to be explained more thoroughly. Thanks
Hi! We have made more videos on our www.RUclips.com/@free-your-breath channel which provide more explanation as desired by different audiences. To answer your questions: - preferably nose breathe to inhale and exhale -yes, “recover” is returning to normal breathing. Practice calming and slowing your breath - if you’re holding for 3 seconds extra, all good! Enjoy your practice
2:04 after the session. Pretty good
Nicely done!
Brahmi has more calming effect on brain and is more anxiolytic.
Brahmi = Bacopa Monnieri 😃
@ShoshinShow yes
It can give you diarrhea if you eat too much.
I’m sure anything can 😆
Do I take a deep before the 15 seconds end?
Yes, you’re holding your breath by the end of the countdown 3, 2, 1. The “hold in 15” is giving you a 15 second heads up that a hold is coming. Enjoy!
@ Thank you!
I used to smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day for 15 years, before quitting I could only hold my breath for 54 seconds, I do over 2 minutes now if I do everything right
Wow! Great effort!
Is it good for strength training. ??
Every breath you take resets the timer... I wish I could make it past 2 minutes ❤. I already notice I breath less than others.
Do we recover with an inhale or exhale?
When I hear recover, I slowly exhale the breath I was holding in and then breathe calmly. If you are holding on an exhale or still have room in your lungs, then inhaling when you hear “recover”will feel better. So in short, do you!
So grateful for this video. I’ve used it daily for well over a year now :) thank you 🙏🏽
Woo thank you for the love! Respect your consistency, friend!!
@@ShoshinShowaww, thanks for the reply. Very encouraging. Funny enough your voice pops in my head, “don’t forget to come back to your breath.” Be well 🙏🏽✨
@@InaiahLujanMusic😂
Yawn I don’t really care about the whole ecological angle because I don’t care about feeling virtuous and all warm and fuzzy inside. How about zeroing in on the fact that we are subconsciously manipulated through ads to buy shit we don’t need and we are told that it’ll make us happier when in reality it never will? What about the fact that 99% of the stuff we buy under consumerism is literal plastic 🤮? What about the fact that plastic is a literal byproduct of oil? We are constantly influenced to view what is nothing more than a waste product as something that is somehow desirable. Wake up from the matrix
Preach!
I hve been doing this for about 2 weeks, and always felt somewhat difficulty holding the breathe, but today, i did it with ease, without feeling like i am holding more than i can hold the breeathe, this is the first improvement in saw in the 2 weeks of practicing this,
Good on you for sticking to the practice! You can try different levels here - it will help you progress faster. Bit.ly/trainyourbreath - always practice at 50% of your max hold. So if you can hold for 1 minute, practice the 30 second CO2 tolerance video.
Hi, have you tried vinpocetine?
No - it’s banned in a lot of countries. I opt for products that keep their natural properties vs. semi-synthetic or synthetic medications. Nature >
Also-- what I told myself today: stop thinking "have to", start thinking "want". For example, don't think "ugh I have to make my bed", think "I want to get into a ready-made bed". Instead of thinking "I have to go for a run", think "I want to be fit and strong". Instead of "I have to work", think "I want to be successful and financially independent", etc. I have tried *so many times* to make a daily schedule for myself, so I can stick to a routine that lets me accomplish what I want to accomplish, and I'm always so eager at the start, but after like 5 days it starts to slip and then it's forgotten altogether, and I've always used the excuse that "life got too busy, too choppy-changey, I couldn't stick to a daily schedule" but you can only use that so much before realising that life will *always* be choppy-changey, and the real challenge is finding stability within that, and motivation to keep doing the steps you need to do to be where you want to be. But I think (I hope) that the missing key was I would treat the Checkpoints of my daily schedule as individual things I "have" to do. Like, I would think "I have to do yoga", "I have to read" etc. And not "I want to connect with my body", "I don't want to watch pointless shows/ movies every night or scroll for hours on end" You feel? Anyways haha I've made a private, secret, instagram account, where I'll post daily video updates- just for myself- to track my progress and keep myself motivated. To remind myself I want to be somewhere in the future, but the future needs to start now x
So, I woke up at 9am today. The last few weeks I started waking up later again, because every day just started to feel the same and I guess I got bored and my mind makes up some interesting dreams, so I keep sleeping, even if I'm not tired. And I've been feeling restless for a while, wanting to be someone, be somewhere, but not taking the steps I need to take to get there. But anyways, long story short (actually), I went onto ChatGPT this morning, and did that "day in the life" prompt where you tell chatgpt what you want your life to look like and where you want to be in the future, and get it to give you an example of a day in your future desired life (found this so motivating), plus then steps on how you can get there. Then after that, I asked chatgpt to give me some RUclips channels that offer breathwork training exercises to increase your lung capacity (I really want to improve my surfing and diving) and you were one of the three channels it gave. I went to you first because I liked the vibe of you the most. I started your playlist this morning after yoga, the one with exercises to help increase your lung capacity, and I then got hooked on your channel. I've been going through your Hobbies playlist since this morning, whenever I can play something in the background, and I just think that it is so epic that chatgpt listed you when all I wanted was breathwork training, and instead I got a whole package on what I'm trying to work on ! Awesome. Thank you for your inspirational education! Definitely gonna end up going through everything of yours 🤣
Yoga with Adriene (and Benji) 😩👏👏👏
Riiiiight??? It’s the best!
Hi, this is a great video. Just started trying this exercise to help with lung capacity in the boxing ring as I’m constantly getting exhausted and dying in the ring no matter how much running I do. How often would you recommend doing this exercise? Multiple times a day? Once a day? I’ve been doing this exercise a few minutes after a 3 mile jog to mirror trying to breathe after a tough round in boxing. Is this the best exercise for this??
Hi! Thank you! You can practice however often you like. Pay attention to your body and like with any exercise, increase reps slowly to give your lungs a rest. Enjoy boxing 💪

Eminem: Look what they need to mimic a fraction of my power!
Nice greetings. I have a question: when we hold our breath in these exercises, do we freely take a big breath beforehand to take in as much air as possible or do we just have to inhale slowly? I ask because there is a dramatic difference when I work with a deep breath and I don't know if it is correct. Thank you
Yes, you’re doing it! I usually breathe in to about 50-80% of a full breath before the hold
@ShoshinShow thank You very much. With only 50% breath before hold my results are very bad.
I’m convinced the only reason your channel doesn’t get more attention is because you’re a woman. The RUclips algorithm is biased

I rrally Enjoy your videos. I fully agree of being patient is important. But how can i be patient if i had school or work to done. I am there isn't much time.
Thank you! Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delays or suffering without getting angry or upset. Everyone has the same amount of time in a day. Start with one task, focus, and then move to the next. Slow and steady 💪 you got this
Hello , I would like to ask you, are you there?
👋
@ShoshinShow hello , it is my pleasure to learn from you , I would like to ask you about this excirsice ,is it useful for freedivivg ( spearfishing ) until now I can hold my breath 3 minutes in excirsice 45 sec and how many times should i practice every singleexcirsice in every single day , I need your advice
@@faisalbusba yes - always practice with a buddy
@ShoshinShow thanx for your advice and still waiting to learn from you 👍
Whoa! I'm totally amazed by your recovery time... it was so short! Mind blowing! How'd you het there? Oxygen advantage method? 🙏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙇🏻♂️❗️
I’ve been practicing these CO2 tolerance tables! Bit.ly/trainyourbreath
Holding your breath underwater mainly increases CO₂ tolerance, not lung capacity. It trains your body to handle the discomfort from CO₂ buildup, which enables longer breath-holds. To boost lung capacity, focus on aerobic exercises
So true! Tell me more about the deep breathing techniques you’re into
Do you hold your breath after an inhale or exhale?
Inhale but you can practice however you like!
I am flying to Lisbon from YUL tomorrow! This was incredibly helpful thank you
